ellipticaluser1986 says "good for the price!!" about ProForm XP 420 Razor with Perfect Motion Technology

I got a deal and only paid $150 for mine new. It does make a lot of noise if you are going at it pretty hard. I weigh about 180, but my wife is about 140 and it makes a lot less noise with her. I use it 2 times a day and she uses it 1-2 times a day. The squeeking can be easily fixed...the metal bar comes apart by the blue plastic (2 bolts) all you have to do is separate the metal bar, throw some grease/lube on it and you are good for a while. There are a few different exercise options ranging from 20 minutes to 45 minutes per work out session, or you can do a "free style" work out. Counts calories, reps, heart rate, time, and also has a built in fan and water bottle holder. The fan isn't very strong, but it will give you a nice little breeze to help keep you cool. The breeze is about as strong as if you were running on a calm day. It also gives you different ideas to make your work out more strenuous if you desire it. Easily assembled. The power cord for the monitor...
...

MegMc says "Exceptional value for the money!" about Schwinn 230 Recumbent Bike

I did a LOT of research before deciding on a recumbant to buy. Having torn my MCL, and going through physical therapy, I wanted an option I could use at home to help strengthen my leg and give me the cardio work out that the injury has really limited.

This bike is really a fantastic buy, it includes a lot of features that are usually found in bikes two and three times the price. It is VERY sturdy and unbelievably QUIET!! (In fact the only noise I can actually hear while using it is the creak of my brace!!). There are quite a few great pre programed 'rides', so sure to please any style of rider. Great resistance range. Comfortable seat. Great set up guide, takes the frustration out of 'assembly required'. (only took a little over an hour to set up).

If you're looking into getting a recumbant PLEASE consider this one or any by Schwinn, they really do make an extremely well made mid range bike :)
...

This bike is easy on the knees, very quiet, seat is comfortable (more comfortable than the NordicTrac we tried at the store). Seems to be well built for the price. I do wish the user's manual explained what the different programs are for, ie which ones are for weight loss, cardio, aerobic. I am 5'5" and the lowest setting on the seat might be too tall for shorter people. However, I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone looking for a reasonably priced good bike--except short people :)
...

Spongebob Squarepants has a line of bike helmets in blue, and pink. These work for kids and the display makes it easy to find. There is absolutely no excuse not to grab one when you buy bikes for tykes this year.

Plesae remember how the helmet should fit, and how it is made. Adjust it snugly under your child's chin, and show them how to put it on and take it off. If your child should ever take a spill, please replace it right away. The material protecting your child's brain case will be flattened inside the helmet and will only provide safety once.

Merry Christmas and safe healthy biking to you all.
...

Purchased the Horizon RE7.6 in Jan. 2007. First repair was done within 1 month - added washers for smoother use. We use this machine almost daily. Since then, Sears has replaced the fan/entire console once, and the magnet/movement assembly now coming up on 3 times. The old resistance of 16 now feels like 8, so using the machine has become a waste of time in terms of a satisfactory workout. The Sears techs are stumped. We'll be taking the next step to "lemon law" this turkey . Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty . If Sears won't replace this machine for us, we'll be purchasing all our appliances, etc. somewhere else .
...

The Northwest Territory 16ft x 12ft Olympic Cottage tent is not a good tent for the money. I had it up for ONE DAY and it rained that night. By the time I got up I had SIX inches of rain in my tent. Now really who wants to take there kids out and have them get rained on. Lucky we were not to far from home. But when you buy a tent you want it to work right. I took that tent back I would not tell any one that they should get a Northwest Territory 16ft x 12ft Olympic Cottage Tent. If your trying to make a pond for ducks it would be great. The poles in the back of the tent just do not hold up right. They are just a little bit to weak for a tent that sizes. And the water lays on the top of the tent. Just be care full if you go to buy this tent.
...

shc-zach says "The perfect clubs to turn your child into the next Tiger Woods!" about Little Tikes TotSports Drive & Putt Golf Set

Okay, if there is one sports toy that my son LOVES, it is the Little Tikes TotSports Drive & Putt Golf Set. (Not only does he love to play with these clubs, but he also loves to sleep with them.)

The product includes two golf clubs (a putter and a driver) and also three balls and a "hole." At first, all my son enjoyed doing was driving the ball, but after a few months, he is now putting too. Honestly, this set or the Little Tikes Drive, Chip and Putt Golf Trainer are the perfect sets for children up to two years old. (Once your child outgrows this set, let me recommend the "Stats Golf Starter Set" which I believe is a ********** exclusive.)

This set is perfect for teaching your child hand/eye coordination. I can't say enough about these clubs, except make sure that parents and pets are out of the way of a swinging child. Enjoy!
...

With all of my years in the Military as a Mechanic, I have gotten used to "Hurry up and Wait" along with Follow The Manual.

That said, I followed the instructions and made sure that all of the parts were present first, then began to read the instruction booklet. Next I began the assembly of this present for my father.

I wanted him to have a nice recumbant bicycle to use on days that it is raining or inconvenient to get a road bike out and ride. He loves to ride every day if possible.

This Pro Form 10.8x was relatively easy to assemble it took me about two hours and again, YES I did read the directions and follow them. :-) Just take your time putting it together and make sure the internal electrical plugs are exactly plugged-in correctly!!

After the purchase at Sears we were told that our Pro Form 10.8x would be on order and ready for pick-up in five days, that same evening my wife and I checked at K-Mart, Which Sears OWNS and found the exact same Pro Form 10.8x with Two of them IN-Stock...
...

The Northwst Territory air bed is easy to inflate with it's large valve opening, you can even doing it on lung power in a few minutes. The bed is more comfortable than beam construction beds and pleasant to sleep on. The only problem I had was within a week it popped a hole at one of the dimples on top. I tried patching it with the included patch, not easy to do considering the curved surface. The patch looked like it was one properly but the mattress would still continue to loss air. I finally gave up and got another brand.
...

My pro-form treadmill recently died after 9 years of service of nearly everyday use. I was lost and being unemployed, I visited Sears and talked with a salesperson about the next SALE on treadmills. But fearing for my health and boredom from no job and no exercise, I could not wait for a sale. I went back out a few weeks later and Da-da-da Da-Da "CHARGE" bought the PRO-FORM XP. I also didn't want to wait for one week delivery, so it was loaded into my SUV and transported to my home. The biggest workout I had was transferring it down to my basement, piece by piece and then assembling it. But when it was finally assembled....ahhhhh the excitement of my new workout machine. The first thing I do when I awake every morning is go downstairs for a stroll (and sometimes a run) on my new PRO-FORM XP treadmill, my new best friend.
...

The new Balance Athletic Shoe is very comfortable and a great value for the price. I purchased these shoes 3 months ago and they still feel great. The styling is nice and they appear to be wearing well. Though there are lots of more expensive athletic shoes out there, these shoes are great for everyday walking and running use. If you're not needing the latest athlete sponsored fad, these shoes are great for you and will not break your bank account. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these shoes to a friend.
...

Denali962 says "Poorly built piece of junk" about NordicTrack C3 si

This is a poorly built piece of junk. I purchased it today and assembled it in about 1 hr.

The fit and finish is beyond bad. The welds on the main frame look like a junior high shop class project. After putting the bike together I tried for over 1 hour to get it to work. I had to partially dis assemble the flywheel shield to adjust the reed switch pick up to make the display do anything. This is apparently a common problem because it is covered in the owners manual under troubleshooting. Upon disassemly I found the switch wasn't even close to being adjusted properly, not that you would know it by the poor instructions in the owners manual. Once I got that fixed and reassembled the bike I found the instructions lacking for operation and use. All in all I'm very unhappy with this unit and will disassemble it and bring it back to sears. I should have spent the extra dough for the ProForm unit I was looking at. I"ve learned. If you buy this piece of junk you will regret it.
...

I researched many treadmills at various stores before finding this Proform Crosswalk 380 at Sears. I wanted one that folds small enough to stow in a closet, has a variety of workouts, the ability to incline and the upper body workout. AND I wanted all that for a low price. The Proform 380 gave me all of that and more. I didn't expect to get a heart monitor - that's an added bonus. If you get this, or any treadmill, pay the delivery and setup fee! It's worth it. Oh, and it's quiet. I'm very happy with this purchase!! So far I love my treadmill.
...

houdiniphile says "You'll be comfortable but it won't last long" about Coleman Queen Size air mattress

This is another great product from Coleman. I have purchased the regular and the high rise version. The high rise flock top is very comfortable but the bed tends to deflate. This is a great budget solution. I have insisted on air mattresses for years, and I found two of the short queen size stacked up offer *unrivalled comfort*. They are portable, light, clean, quick to set up, and very supportive. The lighter you are, the longer the bed may last.

Sometimes people with spinal cord injuries can have trouble breathing on regular beds and air beds solve the problem for a loved one of mine. I also find my allergies to be less when I put one in my room.

I have since switched to boxed mattresses and toppers from Kmart, which offer a permanent solution.
...

The Nike SQ Sumo2 5900 Driver is an incredibly light and forgiving club that can add several yards to anyone's drive. The square head and graphite shaft make this well designed club a unique one. Everything is great about the club except for the ting that emanates when you hit a ball. Unlike other drivers, the Sumo club can give off an annoying "thwack" sound. The pricing for these drivers have come down from the $400 range to the $150 range now (Sept '09).

I love this tent. I only camp about 5 times a summer, but would like to more. Only because of family committments can I not go more often. I wanted a big tent because we have 3 teens who may come and bring friends. I'm a 5'2" woman and I set it up myself each time. I know how it's done and it's easier than giving directions. Love the screen room. I usually put a lounge chair, reading light, and table in there, and my queen air bed and dog's crate in the back room.

It actually fits back in the carry bag, which is a nice bag on wheels. This is actually my 2nd tent because my first one was stolen. Between the 2, I've used this tent 3 summers. I have no complaints, but I haven't been caught in a rain storm. It was set up in the yard during a 2 day rain, and the rain did collect on the roof, but not enough to do any damage.
...

I bought this Proform Plus 520I treadmill 2 years ago in March of 2007. I had done lots of research and spent several months checking prices until the price dropped considerably in March of 07. I was a moderate user - 1 or twice a week until early this summer when I began using it more often. It had worked o.k. up until 3 weeks ago. When I got on the treadmill none of the buttons worked except the incline and 6 mph. I read through the manual that came with the treadmill and did the troubleshooting actions - opening the hood to make sure the magnet was aligned correctly). This did not fix the problem. I called Sears and made an appointment for a repairman to come take a look at it. It cost $96 for a sears repairman to come look at it. After opening the front and checking magnet alignment (which I had already done) - he said it was a faulty console. He looked up how much it would cost to replace - $400 parts and labor -- ridiculous! Sears is WAY overpriced in...
...

Rawlingscd says "The Big Sky Lodge tent is a cheap disappointment" about Northwest Territory Family Cabin with Screen Porch Tent, 15ft x 16ft

Northwestern-Territory's Big Sky Lodge tent is cheap in price and cheap in quality. As others have said the instructions were terrible. The picture of the frame setup was the only thing of use. When I was setting it up in the back yard, I got to the main frame leg poles and while working on a corner leg, the plastic corner bracket broke. This was the first time we had tried to set it up. My kids were very sad, they couldn't sleep in it. Needless to say it is going back to the store and I am going to find a place that sells quality tents even if it will have to smaller.
...

BackPainSuffferer says "Nordictrack Revitalize 2.0 is a great experience all around." about NordicTrack Revitalize 2.0 Inversion System

Nordictrack Revitalize 2.0:

Great experience from the moment I unpacked it. All materials were well protected and well packed. The best part is that all screws, bolt and washers are all pre-sorted and labeled in a container. This saves a lot of time and aggravation. I consider myself pretty adept at putting things together, and it took me approximately 2 hours after I had all pieces unpacked. Take the advice in the instructions and realize this beforehand so you don't get frustrated and think you will go from the box to being up and running in 30 minutes. The wait is well worth it.

I had back surgery around 15 years ago, and this week found myself with shooting pain down the other leg. My chiropractor recommended this one, mentioning it by name and said he had heard Sears carried it. After setting it up and taking it for a trail run, my back has not been this pain free in months. I josh you not. The machine is so simple yet provides such dramatic results. Maybe it's not perfect for everyone...
...
