I've used my steamer only a few times, but it's easy to use and clean up is a cinch. Not only does it steam veggies, but you can cook rice in it. A great purchase for a vegan or vegetarian. I plan on using it a lot more in my new kitchen! The timer setting is also a great feature.
...

This slow cooker's heating element is on the bottom of the unit only. Other slow cookers have the heating element ont the bottom and wrapped around the unit itself, which allows more even cooking. Every time I use this slow cooker, everything on the bottom is overdone and everything on the top is not done enough. I guess the 3 in 1 design is okay but I've only used the kettle once. The power cord gave out after 3 months; but the company promptly replaced it. I'm looking for a new slow cooker.
...

I bought this crock pot 2 years ago. I liked the price, but the metal gets really hot. I have burned myself more than once. Today, while moving the crock pot to another counter, the handle broke off with no warning. The scalding hot soup and the black crock fell to the floor. I was lucky to get away with a small cut and a small burn on my finger. I hate to think of what would have happened if the soup had spilled on me!! Handle never even felt loose. Crock is now in many pieces in the garbage. I never did use the mini-crock.
...

Richard Simmons steamer is a great product, my husband bought it as he does the cooking, he found it very easy to use and the meal was really good. He made chicken breast - corn on the cob and mixed vegs. all was done at the same time and very tasty.

good work Richard, the one thing I like I can put it in the dish washer, it is a little much to wash other than that GREAT

This slow cooker does everything I could want it to, so there's not too much more to say. It cooks evenly and well. I haven't tried cooking with the probe yet but that appears to be a real plus. I've never had a slow cooker with a timer before so I'm really impressed with the added convenience. It's a great cooker and a bargain!...

I love this appliance. When my 25 year old Rival gave up the ghost, I went to America's Test Kitchen for a recommendation: this was one of three. It's PERFECT. The oval shape is great, and will accomodate a large pot roast; I can set the program, both time and temp, and not worry about having to leave. The temp. probe keeps food from getting overdone.
Best of all - the "low" is actually LOW! This one's a keeper...

This product is great. steams food to perfection. I've even bought one for a friend who is trying to lose weight. Less cooking time and vegies taste better when steamed. my only dislike was it didn't have a guide to steaming foods. for a first time user it would have been helpful. Over all love my steamer. I use it just about every day....

We have steamed veggies, whole chickens, shrimp, pork and much more. My son loves the taste of the steamed food and uses it himself. It is easy to clean and easy to use. I love it....

I was given this crockpot / deepfry over 21 years ago for a wedding present. Until I tragicly broke the ceramic crock 8 years ago It was the perfect appliance. It has outlasted two refridgerators and I still use it as a crock pot with the new bag crock liners.

I have given four for wedding presents since and would recommend it over any other crock or fryer....

The digital controls do not allow for the cooker to start cooking at a later time. For example, if my recipe says to cook on low for 6 hrs, and I'm going to be gone for 10, I want the food to be done when I get home--not sitting on "warm" for 4 hrs. I prefer a manual control switch that can be placed in the "Low" or "High" position so I can connect the cooker to a lamp timer so it will turn on when I want it to....

We too had an older crock pot (from the '70s) which worked great for years. When it came tome for a new one we got the DHP-3505.
As stated by another reviewer, this unit burns everything. Unforthunately we don't have the box nor receipt, so a return is not possible. Bummer....
