I read many reviews touting positive reponses to the Hiker Pro and now that I have used one I have to agree to its many positive attributes.

First off this filter weighs 11 ounces and is 6 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches across making it extremely packable. You could carry gallons of water at 6 pounds per gallon or this 11 ounce filter which will filter as much as 200 gallons.

The Hiker Pro is an updated version of the Hiker model and has added quick fittings for attaching your filter water line to water bladders in place as well as Nalgene bottles.

The Hiker Pro has a weighted end which goes into a stream or pond and a foam flotation band is movable so that your collection end does not sit directly in silt. The supply hose goes from the filter to a cap which pushes to fit onto a wide mouth Nalgene bottle. With each pump stroke of the handle water is injected into your drinking bottle and roughly 48 strokes will be needed from empty to full in a 32 ounce bottle.

The only down side is that you have to charge up the pump. The pump will hold a charge for several uses and the air matress held up perfectly during our five day camping trip. I never once had to re-inflate the matress. I recommend this matress to anyone who is looking for something new that's not just going to loose it's air after 1 night of use....

If you have 12 hours to charge a pump only for it to still deliver a soft bed where you are basically still hitting the floor then by all means this is the bed for you. If you actuallly want to sleep well and have better things to do than to wait for a pump to charge then I say look for a raised bed with a quick pump included. This item was horrible....

I BOUGHT A TENT FOR HIM EARLIER LAST MONTH AND IT WAS TO SMALL FOR HIM... HE GAVE IT TO HIS LITTLE SISTER AND I ORDERED HIM THE NW TERRITORY 14X10 TENT AND HE TELLS ME HE LOVES IT. HE LIVES IN OHIO AND I LIVE IN AZ SO I HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET... BUT IF HE SAYS HE LOVES IT, IT HAS TO BE A 5 STAR TENT...

This tent is very simple to set up and tear down. It is lightweight and compact to store (or pack up in your vehicle). I have a much larger tent which sleeps 10, but when I go on a short trip with only a friend or 2 and my dog this is perfect!...

This may not be the most accurate review as far as performance goes since I never actually took it out camping but here it is. The bags arrived quickly but unfortunately when I tried to fit my exactly 6 foot 2 inch frame into the bage it was a little too short and when I tried to use the hood I was not able to fit in straight. Basically this is a good bag at a very good value but only for a person 6 foot flat and it actually only weighs in at just over 4 pounds not the six that it is listed at so a better bonus right there....

I've had this filter for almost two years and it's still holding it's own. I've used it in some pretty sketchy bodies of water and have never gotten sick. I've also tested it's durability through routine drops and cramming it in my pack and it doesn't even have a scratch. It's easy to use and I completely trust it!...
