As I write this review, the generator is on it's test run and is powering my house which is off grid with the main shut off. I just had to take it out of the box, put the wheels and front rest on. add provided oil and gas it up and it started right up. the noise level isn't too bad for a portable generator as it doesn't hurt the ears. It's first test was to start my air compressor which demands a lot of power to start and it did it without a falter. so far i'm very happy with it and can comfortably recommend this generator....

Just purchased this generator a few weeks ago. Had it wired into my electrial panel. We tried it just the other day shutting down the main breaker, and running the Briggs 7000. It took care of my entire house. Heat, big screen tv, lights, refrig,..etc. At least now I have peace of mind, knowing if and when the power goes out I have a backup to keep everything going. Couldn't be happier. It's a well made unit, that starts on the first turn of the key electric start....

I have 1 hour operating time on the machine. It looks nice, it started, it produced electricity. Please send me another questioner in 5 years and I'll tell you what I really think. I bought this generator for it's capabilities and only time will tell if this was a good investment.

Easy to start, always ready. Used many times at home and at Deer camp works great. More power than I ever needed....

After dealing with multiple power outages due to our weather in the Northeast and having to travel almost 200 miles round trip to 'rent' one, I decided to go with my gut and get a Stanley over all others on the market.

For the price, size, ease of handling - it couldn't be beat! I love the 'hide-away' handles!

I am very satisfied right from the box! I assembled the wheels and feet while in my pick up truck, put the ramps on the tailgate and just rolled her down!

Gas, Oil, and varoom... 2 pulls and it ran like a charm! I especially like the removable control panel so I don't have to go out in the weather, other than to start it up.

The 12 gallon gas tank is a big plus as well.. No need to keep refilling after only a few hours of run time.

The generator runs fine, but the breaker or power supply will not work. I tried resetting the breaker, but still no juice. Looks like it's a lame duck.

One of the best bang for the buck products in the USA. Price is great for such a super quiet power inverter. Converts DC power to AC quietly, like an altenator. Smooth power sine wave, safe for any electronics. Great for camping. Excellent customer service. 3 yr warranty. Own it, use it alot and love it....

Bought this to use during Hurricane Irene. Worked fine during 2-1/2 day power outage except for minor oil leak. I had purchased the at-home repair plan from Sears so I called them to repair it, as instructed by Briggs & Stratton. After two visits from tech and repair part order they tell me it can't be fixed. Something about the armature is also bad and the manufacturer doesn't supply a tool to dismantle the system. Further, Sears can't get a replacement unit and won't refund my money because it's more than 30 days old. Bottom line is I have non-functioning generator under manufacturer warranty which can't be repaired or replaced. I have to take my purchase-price credit and apply to another unit from Sears as part of a "customer solutions case." Somehow I'm not feeling confident in either Sears or Briggs & Stratton.

I purchased this particular generator because of the value and it has all the features I was looking for. I've owned Stanley brand items before, so I really trusted the name. My generator was delivered relatively fast and ordering online rather than going to the store make the entire process easy and hassle free.

After I purchased my generator, I could not get it to start. It is one month later and I am still getting the run-around, as far as replacement or repair. I cant say anything positive about All Power generators. Except for I would never buy another one.

Im a contractor in New Jersey . I needed to replace an old vangard generator. I investigated the performance specs of a number of generator brands. In the end I would only feel comfortable with my sears pick. The price was right , and the specs seemed quite good as compared to a similar and very expensive Honda version. Its been two plus years averaging two full days a week. This 5600 watt Craftsman generator stands up to any brand. I start it with one pull. It powers my compressor, mitre box,skill saw, halogen lights quite well off a 100' extention. I have to recommend this generator. I could have made a huge mistake by either paying for a cheap 'throwaway' or an expensive generator when that kind of expenditure would have been totally unessasary . Sears makes a good product.

Do not buy this generator. I priced around to find that this generator was comparable to other generators, but thought Sears would back their product better than anyone else. Boy I was wrong. Had the generator for 2yrs 1 1/2 months before it blew up. Of course the generator was under warrenty for 2 yrs. I only used the generator about 10 times. Sears not only didn't back their product, but they charged me $35 to ship it to their maintenance store, then explained it would cost another $270+ to fix. I have many Craftsman tools and accessories, I just figured Sears would back this product like they do Craftsman... I was wrong.

easy to start.. no worries about gas in the tank for when you need it. Big fan of use of propane as the fuel source. I had one problem starting it but tech support helped out with a simple fix. No more worrying about the gasoline going bad. And there's reduced emissions too.

Ez setupEz StartLong Run Time on a Tank of GasPurchased in 2006 (Buffalo NY Oct. Surprise Snowstorm)

Connected:Fridge, Sump Pump, Furnace, Lights,Tv (Coffee Maker - had to unplug sump to make/ok to keep warm with sump on)

It has the power to handle the basic needs, with a little extra for the...tv/coffee maker!Ez on the Fuel supply
