This trimmer made quick work of all the hedges on my property. I was able to complete the work with just one Ni-Cd battery, but I like that I can use a lithium C3 battery if i need more juice. Battery power is definitely a plus with a tool like this, as dragging an extension cord with you gets annoying quickly.

Very happy that we purchased this product. Very easy to use and lightweight for me to use. I absolutely love this product. Used it last fall to trim all of our bushes. We have a lot of trimming to do in our yard and it worked great. No problems with the cord, just make sure you buy a extra long extension cord. It went everywhere in our yard and our yard is not small. Definitely recommend.

This is my 2nd one. I still have my first. I have a lot of pruning to do all summer and this pruner saves my wrists. The battery lasts a long time and it cuts through large branches. I bought this 2nd one so that my wife and I can prune at the same time....

This hedge trimmers is easy to use and able to tackle the thick bushes around my home. The longer blade makes it easier to reach the back bushes without having to crawl between the house and bush.

I originally had to return the first one I purchased. Since it stopped working after 1hr of use. Must ahve been a bad unit. * The handle on all these units are difficult to assemble, but I was able to make it work. I think it has a bad design since the handle doesnt match the motor housing. *You must oil the blades if you want these trimmers to last. Oil BEFORE USE and after use for storage. * My second one worked great without no problems. * You must wrap the cord around the handle before plugging in, so the cord doesnt fall off while using trimmer * Trimmer seems good so far with two uses....

It is light and handles well if you don't have to reach far across large bushes. Sometimes takes several passes over the same area for desired results if you are trimming bushes far back. It does eventually get the job done, but keep in mind the size of the yard work you are doing when purchasing. I got it mainly because it was cheap and I don't have heavy yard trimming to do.

I purchased this cordless trimmer after reading a bunch of reviews from different sources. I then took a look at the trimer at my local store, and decided to buy it. I have about 100-ft of typical West Coast hedge and this trimmer had no problem dealing with it. The battery life was enough to do the entire job with a single charge, and I am using the nickel-cadmium cells.

For me this is a real treat, having clipped my electrical cords more than a few times as well as the cable TV line, which was hidden at the rear of the hedge. Now that I am acutely aware of that location, it's the only line I have to dodge anymore. I liked mine so much, I bought a second one for my son-in-law, who has a habit of borrowing mine but doesn't bring it back! No more excuses on this tool.

Seems to work well...as long as your don't cut the extention cord. A little heavy after a while. Installing the handle was a little bit confusing. I think I got it on correctly.

I have had my Black And Decker trimmer for almost 5 years now! It has never let me down. It is easy to use and cuts quickly and easily! It has really saved me a lot of time versus using hand trimers!

..The landscaping on our Florida property can get out-of-hand rapidly and this trimmer is very good at keeping it in shape.

..Have followed the instructions and had good experience with starting, running smoothly, and the cutter stopping rapidly when the trigger is released. I have not noticed any exhaust issues.

..Use it for trimming hedges, shaping decorative shrubbery and cutting overcrowded saplings close to the ground. All are handled with ease but the close-to-the-ground work needs a younger operator or a healthier back.

..As a former farm owner, I have or had lots of gas-powered gear - Stihl, Husqvarna, Sears, Troy Bilt, John Deere and some others long forgotten. For personal use, my copy of this trimmer holds its own.

This trimmer was used about three times a year. Lasted less than two years and the switch went out, common problem. Sears does not carry a replacement switch. This $60 item should not a throw away item. The switch would cost about $0.50 if they would just stock it. Do not buy this cheap trimmer! Very dissapointed with Sears for selling and carrying something that you can not get parts for.

This unit is lightweight, cuts effectively and holds a decent charge to do a sizeable area.

Good trimmer for the price.

One battery charge (new battery) lasted about 20-25 mins. That included cutting very thick and still wet areas, This sure beats a corded trimmer. It does an amazingly great job and allowed me with little effort to keep my landscaping cut and looking good, thanks craftsman.
