After purchasing two of the Craftsman "fireman-style" hose nozzles for myself, I have given several as gifts to friends who are enthusiastic gardeners. The nozzles function well either in hot weather or cold, and I hope to find that Sears will continue to carry this product. It is a pleasure to find a product that does perform as the consumer hopes, and this is a useful addition to my garden tools.
...

farmnunn says "Brass nozzle has STRAIGHT stream of water, lasting quality!" about Craftsman Brass Twist Nozzle

The Craftsman brass twist nozzle shoots a straight stream of water. I use it to clean my street sweeper and sidewalks at work. The straight stream of water is perfect for blowing dirt from the cracks in sidewalks- it fits right in there! Other similar nozzles shoot a sloppy spray that is hit and miss- mostly miss.. The mud inside the sweeper pick up bin is easy to remove because you can hit what you aim at, getting all crevaces. It fits easily in my tool bag or pocket. I like the all brass look.

I have bought 3 of these during the last 5 years. One broke after dropping it 10 feet to the pavement (understandable). The other 2 were misplaced. Quality is great! O rings are easily replaced if worn althought I have never worn them out using it every work day. In winter I use it only for the street sweeper, and it is still working through all seasons..So...great quality built to last at a reasonable price. It is the best nozzle and will buy another if I lose it again.
...

Works great, but whistles a little with very low pressure like when twisting to shut off. Does not affect performance, plus it has the Craftsman waranty. Take it back if you need it replaced. It's brass, so it should last a long time. I have two of these....

I first purchased this particular nozzle from Sears quite a few years ago. Since then I have purchased two more. Although the price has gone up $5.00 since I bought the first one, I wouldn't hesitate buying another should the need arise. If you have gone through several of the cheap nozzles from the hardware stores, you'll appreciate the outstanding quality of this nozzle.
...

bsboen says "The Craftsman Hose Nozzle is a Work Horse" about Craftsman Hose Nozzle

I first purchased a nozzle just like this one last year during our state fair and ever since I hate to use any other nozzle. This wonderful firemans nozzle has a great side to side turn on/off action and has various different spray patterns that can tackle anything from watering delicate plants and flowers to high pressure needs like car and house washing.
When I discovered that Sears was selling these nozzles I quickly purchased another for use at home so I could have one for the front and back locations, as I did not know where to purchase another without waiting for the fair to come around again.
This nozzle is of great construction, has very ease of use and comes with a lifetime warranty, you just can't go wrong....

This is the best sprayer we have ever found. Powerful enough to clean oil off of a driveway yet gentle enough to water delicate flowers to turning completly off with no dripping all with the twisting of the nozzle. Made of tire grade rubber on the outside and solid metal on the inside. We have used this for everthing from cleaning the pool when opening it for the summer season, to removing oil from the driveway, to removing paint from the house. Lots of uses from one sprayer. We have yet to find one that can do everything this does with one nozzle. Very good buy for very little cost.
...

After a few years of buying and rebuying cheap $9 "multi-pattern" plastic hose nozzles from ******** that just break after a couple of month's usage, I decided to take the plunge and invest in a decent one.

This Craftsman has not let me down. The aluminum build, wrapped by rubber, provides not only good grip, but less worry about the nozzle hitting the cement floor and breaking. Close or open all the way to shut-off the stream. Also, there is actually multiple patterns as you twist the nozzle which go from a shower-like stream, to a gushing stream, to finally a pressure stream (with varying degress between them). I don't really need 12 different patterns (really, who does?) so this fits the bill perfectly!
...

This craftsman hose nozzle (fireman style) was exactly what I was looking for. It allows a flooding spray that will wash the soapy water off the car, water a shrub, fill a bucket or wash the dog all without any side spray. The forceful stream is capable of sweeping off the deck or concrete or spraying off the mower deck or mud off the tractor wheels. I don't really use the other patterns, perhaps they would work for watering large areas such as newly seeded lawns. A few years ago I used my first fireman type nozzle and was sold. I tried to buy more and the store stop selling the larger type but had some small cheaper ones. I thought the design was similar and would prove to be a acceptable alternative. The only function that was the same was the flooding spray. It would not focus for a powerful stream. I was reluctant to order this Craftsman nozzle since it was smaller than my first example. I figured I could always return them. I will NOT be returning these Craftsman nozzles. They are...
...

Higher quality than the comparable items found at ********** and ****** and you can feel the difference when you pick them up, they are and feel like a better product. I installed these with teflon tape for a leak proof connection. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is that when I tightened the female portion on my water spigot on the house, the male counterpart was difficult to put on and take off. I found this to be because I had overtightened the female part and the nipple on the male part was hitting the faucet inside the female connector before the spring and ball connection could click. This was corrected by backing off the female connection on the faucet a bit and then it was fine. This can leak then if it is not a tight connection no matter how much teflon tape is used. This could however be a problem with the faucet itself not having ample threads for a good connection and not these connectors at all. Another option would be to grind down the male nipple...
...
