I've had this spreader for a few years now and am getting anxious to be able to get out there and use it again. It has been a durable spreader. Found you have to take your time and go slow and not over fill it and than it will spread thoroughly and evenly.

I enjoy a landscape of evergreens with a western slant. Many trees and bushes are subject to insect and disease attacks and a sprayer is a must have in the constant battle for your prized and cherished specimens, some of which started as seedlings and hold a position as part of the family.

Sprayers are so universal in their applications for bug control above ground whether inside or out, for application of water based fertilizers, for weed control and more. I have found I spend too much time measuring on the smaller one gallon units and this 2 gallon Gilmore Premium sprayer leaves more time for application. The unit is also not too heavy when full.

The differenace in all sprayers apart from capacity is material used in its construction and since most all have a plastic body these better or lesser parts are included in the hose and wand between the pickup hose in the tank, the wand length, and the material used in the sprayer tip and its ability in adjustments.

Gilmore is a name long set...

Purchased this sprayer because carry tank sprayers are too heavy to carry around.

This holds up to 4 Gallons of spray, so less time refilling. Is a great tool for applying weed and bug control for your yard, and landscaping.

We recently purchased the Craftsman Spreader from our local Sears store and it has performed beautifully. We used the "easy to fill', lightweight spreader to fertilizer our lawn and garden plot. We found that spreading the fertilizer in this manner, before tilling the soil in our garden,helped to distribute it more equally.

We now have great vegies and a beautiful lawn to show for our efforts, thanks,in part, to our new Craftsman Spreader. Sears comes through for us with a quality product once more!

either I am doing something wrong or this thing gets too much air in it an sprays out bubbles. It is easy to use and the bubbles do melt into liquid, and it is quiet...I mixed fly spray in it for my horses and it's nice to not have to pull a trigger repeatedly like with the other spray bottles...

I have a back injury so being able to work in the yard with easy to use, light equipment if vital to me. This spreader is accurate, easy to manage settings, and super light! No issues even taking it down off my hook in the garage to fill it to use. Easy! Easy! Easy! No effort to push or pull and tosses product evenly.

Overall, it performs well. The wand & hose are too short and the spray patterns are very limited. Also, the filter that goes on the end of the pickup tube will not stay in place.

I spread lime only once a year and needed a inexpensive drop spreader because my broadcast spreader was too dusty and only delivered from a narrow cone above the hopper center. This one worked just fine; it shut off when stopped and didn't clog over tall wet grass. I ran it wide open/closed so I can't vouch for any metering accuracy. There is an eight inch clearance between the shut off plate and the base openings, so there is some leakage if it is bounced around when closed. I much prefer that to the clogging I experienced with a previous drop spreader....

Bought the Lawn Crafter Drop Spreader on sale (1/2 price) at my local Sears store. The spreader will not handle a standard 40 pound bag of crushed (pulverized) lime. The metal trap underneath the spreader that regulates feeding rate will not close and the setting lever moves about randomly so it is imposible to regulate the feed rate. Frankly the unit isn't even worth the $15.00 I paid!...

I bought one, took it back, and now the same problemwith the exchange. The wand always leaks where the hose meets the base of the wand. It has done this on both. The second problem, and it has done this on both, is it leaks down your back no matter how much you adjust it. Do not buy this sprayer....

Gear Housing came apart first time I used it - Put it back together - used it a 2nd time and the gear housing broke completely. Money down the drain.........should've stuck to my much cheaper walk behind. Didn't even make it thru one season! I had no clue that parts were not available to fix it. ....

first time out of the box gear casing seperated and allowed fertilizer in the cheap gears. Held together only by a cap. Hard to use. Don't buy. Poor quality. Totally dissatisfied. Craftsman used to be a good brand....

this unit i would not advise folks to buy. it is very hard to set the level you wish to deliver. and mine broke in less than a years where the handle attached to the hopper. I had no interest in taking it back to the store for a replacement. because the unit is not worth the time or trouble....
