This is a good shed once it is complete. The tin is cheap metal and fairly easily creases. However once the shed is complete it seems to be pretty sturdy. However for the price, I'm not sure you will find anything better. I am mechanically inclined and do most of my own work to my house and my vehicles. That being said, I put this together by myself in two and a half days, with a little help from my 11 yr old son to hold some bolts on one side while I tighened them on the other. If I had had help, this could have been a one day affair. I'm not sure about the other reviews saying the assembly was difficult. This is a building that you are assembling. It's not going to be quick and easy. The directions could have been a little clearer, but overall they provided everything that was needed. I did not buy the floor kit. I built a 2x6 frame 122"x144". A little larger than the recomended. I then put 2x4 studs the 122" length every 16". I crossed braced the studs with a 2x4 between......

Assembled this shed in 2 days, on an existing slab. I am more satisfied with this building than I could have expected. Just be sure the frame is square while constructing, and the walls and roof will line up quite well. Amazing, of the "hundreds" of screws to assemble this complete shed, I had one and only one that did not line up with it's attachment hole...which I think is amazing. Of course I love the headroom of this design. Great buy...remember it is a lightweight metal shed, but very solid for my lawn storage needs. And also, we had 1.5 inches of rain over 2 days, and I had only one very minor leak, which I have determined came from one of my roof tape spots. I shot some silicon on it...sealed. Again, with all the parts. panels and screws, and to be able to make it water tight...have I mentioned I am very satisfied!!!
...

I am very impressed with the SR1011 storage unit. The accuracy of the hole drilling was very precise. I had to drill my own holes five or six times. I assembled the structure for the most part by myself. My wife assisted me initially with the placement of the corner pieces and the first set of braces. After that initial construction I was on my own. I work slowly. It took me about 20 hours. The shed is on a cement slab.
Wear gloves, read the instructions prior to start, assemble the beams prior to connecting panels. I connected the two corner panels together before connecting them to the floor brace. The medal is flimsy so make sure the panels are braced.
There were missing screws so make sure you inventory your parts before you start. The manufacturer supplied the missing parts free of charge. We live in a windy area of southwestern Utah and it does snow. The manufacturer supplied the plans for a roof strengthening kit at no charge. The unit has been up for over three months......

Stay away from this turkey. To begin with, the instructions are a model of how to write confusing directions. The two end panels on the roof are mis-labelled so that you are almost garaunteed to put the wrong panels on each end. If the idiot that wrote the directions had any sense, he would have labelled the panels like the wheels on a car (RR,LR, RF, LF). No such luck. Next thing: the doorway is made strictly for height-challenged people. If you are of normal adult height you will curse the Arrow people every time you bang your head on it. Last but not least, there is a one inch cut-out in each door panel at the bottom which make a perfect opening for mice. I am writing this just after discovering two pieces of ruined furniture that I stored in one of these crumby buildings. My advice: build your own out of two by fours....

The Arrow 10 x 12 Barn Style Storage Shed is a very nice, and good looking Utility/Storage Shed. The bad thing about this shed is it's confusing and un-organized instruction manual. I found that if you go to the Arrow web site they have a instuctional video you can watch to get a better understanding on the construction of the shed. They also dont tell you when you put the support beams on the middle and top of the shed walls that when you get ready to put the walls on in the middle of each wall that you have to take the support beams apart in the middle of each wall and re-adjust to fit properly the beams are kind of a universal part that has holes drilled for differnt size sheds and don't tell you which holes are for which shed. When you start to put this shed together it is best to construct it on top of a concrete pad instead of building it on the ground using the shed flooring kit. Plan on two to three days to construct and it is much better to have a total of four people to put......

If I could give this a 4.5 star rating, I would...only because couple of pieces didn't fit perfectly as I was setting up, but this is really minimal. It took me a total of 1 hour to set it up (this doesn't include the work I had to do to grade the ground to get it level).

I think this is perfect for people who have smaller back yards and no garage (town homes). I'd hate to go up and down with the lawn mower each week from my basement just to get some outside chores done. I'm planning on buying some wood to put in there as shelves...the dimensions of the wood are included in the instruction manual, I think.

BUY IT!
...

First of all, this was supposed to be a Christmas present for my husband. I placed the order online and never received a confirmation of my order, with a reference number. I had to call to confirm that my order went through. I was placed on hold for a long time, having to call back and leave a voicemail for a manager, (since this was my 4th call to them). The manager, Marilyn, called me back. When I told her that my husband received an email (not me), stating that his Christmas present was ready for pickup, her response was "That's happened to me before!" with no apologies! I'm not even sure how they received my husbands email address when I did not include that in my order! It definitely wasn't a surprise and needless to say, I was very disappointed. I believe that great customer service is key component and Sears fell short on that. Unfortunately that will be something I remember the next time I make a purchase like this. Still contemplating brining it back....

jaredcolten says "Great inexpensive storage solution but directions not great" about Arrow Mid Gable SR1010 Lawn Building (10 ft. x 10 ft.)

Great storage solution but directions need updating. Some sections in the directions direct you to "do as follows in the picture". However, the pictures are not very detailed. If you follow the directions, and I mean really follow them you will be fine.

I put it together myself but needed a second pair of hands when installing the first four sections of walls in all four corners. Simply no way to hold it yourself and screw it in. Definitely use a variable speed screw gun. And, when installing the main roof support just hold one end with a ladder while screwing in one end. Like I said, the whole thing can be done by yourself except for the first four corner walls.

ONCE AGAIN. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER. IF YOU DON'T YOU MAY FACE UNSCREWING CERTAIN SECTIONS BECAUSE YOU DID NOT LEAVE THE CORRECT HOLES OPEN FOR LATER PARTS THAT CONNECT.

One negative is the low door height. The clearance from floor to opening is only about 5 feet. You will have to duck each time...
...

It is VERY well-constructed, the instructions are very easy to follow, and it is sturdy and strong. I am not anchoring it to the ground, as it is sitting against my house. The wind that would be needed to blow this thing over would probably blow my house to oz! Thanks, Suncast, for a VERY easy construction and a huge storage shed .I'm VERY pleased.
...
