I ordered this snow thrower because it was 1) lightweight (12lbs) and 2) electric and 3) good in emergencies when I cannot find someone to shovel my walks.

It has a good motor and does well with small areas- like the front of the garage and paths.

I would say my only disappointment was that a snowthrower this small was not put together.It came in two sections and for a person like myself with arthritis it was difficult to lift and join together.

I had to ask my son in law to put in the screws as they go into non thread sites and I did not have the strength to use the screwdriver. A younger person with no flexibility issues should have no problem putting it together.

So if you buy this for your parents, I would suggest you put it together first!

I recently purchased The Snow Joe and was very satisfied with its performance. It has lived up to the company specs about this tool. It worked well on the last snow here in Northeastern Ohio. This is a lightweight, durable tool that can really shovel the snow in small spaces....

First time I used this blower the pin that holds the auger in place broke. I have no charts to find replacement pin. Was later warned by others of pin breakage. Overall the blower works like a charm but am displeased with the pin breakage....
