I have used this cart mainly to haul dirt from the front yard to the back. Believe me it will haul at least 1000 lbs of dirt. The tubeless tires that come with this cart are like most everything else today, "made in China" and will not hold air for long. One tire went flat without warning when the cart was fully loaded with dirt. I then went to the local home supply store and purchased two tubes with the green slime inside. These tubes were easy to install and no more problems with the tires. Sears you should listen to the feedback and provide tubes with these tires ! I highly recommend this dump cart.
...

I had a lot of rocks and large logs in the back yard of my wooded lot I was trying to clear. I bought this so I didn't have to take things to the dump, just move them to a wooded part that I didn't plan on clearing and let nature take its course. I've had the trailer full with large rocks, and the tire pressure dropped drastically, but it hauled the load. The tires could be better, but they do the job. The tailgate piece doesn't attach, but just slides into guides. If you're hauling brush then it will probably bend and fall out. The good news is the tailgate is so thin you can bend it back. If you want something tough to haul stuff around in this is the thing to buy.
...

Sears used to carry a similar product called the Load 'N Go Utility Deck. By the time I got my Craftsman Pro GT it was a discontinued item so I've been searching high and low for one on ****, Craigslist, tractor forums, etc., all without success. Just recently they've re-introduced a similar product and I ordered one as soon as I found out about it.

This deck has solved so many problems for me. Now I don't have to attach a garden trailer every time I need to move small-medium things from place to place. I can carry extra fuel, small tools, a cooler chest; the list goes on and on. It folds up when not in use and I can still tow other equipment with it in place. Best of all it's always with the tractor and ready to use when I need it.
...

criggo01 says "The snowblower is a great accessory for our garden tractor." about Craftsman Item #: 07124838000

The ability to have a snowblower attachment for the garden tractor is a good thing. It works great at throwing snow no matter how deep it is. However, if it was a little more 'user friendly' concerning all the levers to operate it would be much better.

Having the wheel weights and tires chains available at the same time/place made for a much faster, easier purchase.

Instructions were pretty simple to follow and installation did not take longer than you would expect. We'll have to see how it goes in the spring when it's time to remove snowblower and add mower back.

All in all, very satisfied with purchase.
...

bellsbiz says "Great sweeper and definitely beats a rake or blower big time!!" about Craftsman 42" High Speed Lawn Sweeper

I've had this sweeper going on three years now. I just ordered a new set of brushes and chains for this spring season. I have 3 acres on my place with both pine and oak trees. This sweeper picks them both up with ease and most of the time it does it in one sweep. What use to take me two weeks in the fall with a rake I can now get done with my Sears sweeper in about 5 or 6 hours. Once you learn to back it up it is a cinch to dump. It only takes me about 30 seconds or less now to dump and I'm on my way to a new load. I avoid wet leaves because they are hard to sweep and are heavy on the hopper so I don't sweep my yard unless the leaves are dry. I debated on buying a new Sears sweeper this year over repairing this one but this sweeper was still in fair shape so I opted over the $45 in parts which should give me at least another two years. I'm certainly satisfied with this sweeper and I would recommend it to anyone looking to save them lots of time and work. You can't go wrong. I...
...

Used on a 24 hp 42in Craftsman Professional Tractor.

These wheel weights are as advertised by Sears. Easy to install when the holes are already drilled in the rims. The paper template might work, but I would rather have a drill guide to make sure the holes are in the right place. If the holes a a little off location the weights could be hard to align, and might not mount up at all.

Some Internet statements say they don't need tire chains, but do not believe them. Spend the extra money and get the chains. I just plowed 7" of snow with the chain and weight setup.
...

I bought this at a clearance center, was a little nervous buying from the unknown, but Sears has a great return policy, just in case. As it turned out the sweeper worked fine at first, everything did what it was supposed to. Then while using it to pick up leaves in the fall, the right tire locked up. I opened the wheel assembly and investigated. One of the washers came off and I put it back on. Worked fine for a while, then locked up again. I reinspected the same wheel and took off the bad washer. The sweeper is working fine now. I used it today before the snow came, picked up the last of the fallen sweet gum seed pods. I can't wait until spring when I get to dethatch and aerate and use the sweeper again.
...

The instructions don't tell you thsat in order to install you have to drill thought the mounting hub as well as the wheel to put the bolts through. They also don't tell you they don't fit. In order to get them to work and not vibrate loose, you have to go to the nearest ***** or ********** and get 6 long threaded bolts, more lock washers, flat washers and nylon thread locking nuts. Two bolts lets the weights go lopsided, putting three on balances it better. Using nuts and washesrs on both sides of the wheel keeps them from coming loose and falling off and also enables them to fit.
...

I purchased a snow cab for my craftsman tractor. It goes on quick except back is still open, there isnt a door to get in, u have to unclip the cab from the fender climb in and clip yourself in. Once the cab is on, you have to lift the front support up to even turn on the snowblower. The rod is in the way. The control handles for the snowblower are still outside the enclosure. U have to use the pockets in the snow cab to get to the controls. The ad for it is very decieving for the price. Your back, arms, and feet are still outside the cab. Now its just harder for all aspects of snowblowing. Better off putting a garbage bag over your head. The cab is not user friendly at all.
...

Grandpa61 says "Easy Installation" about Sears QuikSecure Tractor Wheel Weights Model No. 71-24445 (U1111)

I purchased theSears QuikSecure Tractor Wheel Weights, Model No. 71-24445 (U1111) to Install on my YTS 4000 (manual) tractor. The purpose was to add weight to the tractor for use during snow plowing. Following the instructions provided, installation of the weights was quick and easy. The tractor wheel rims were pre-drilled to allow the mounting bolts for the weights to be installed. The holes lined up perfectly with the holes in the wheel weights, allowing for an extremely easy installation.

Since my snow plowing is on a steep incline, I was concerned that the weights would not be enough to get the tractor back to the top of the concrete drive. I did purchase tire chains, but did not need them. However, I will keep them just in case! The weights provided all the traction that was necessary.
...

The 42" Snow Blade Model No. 486.2441 attached to my YTS 4000 Yard Tractor is a great attachment for plowing snow. The delivery people had already assembled the snow plow blade and had it mounted on the tractor when the tractor was delivered. I did remove the blade during the mowing season and reinstalled it for the winter weather after removing the mowing deck. Mounting of the blade was easy. The Snow Blade worked perfectly and was easy to use. I had to adjust the skids on the blade prior to using to allow the blade to run slightly off the pavement. Operation of the blade itself was simple, both up/down and side to side was a snap. Although the snowfall was light, it was heavy/wet snow.

During deep snowfalls it would be a good idea to plow before the accumulation is too deep and plow again later, rather than once when the snow depth is overwhelming.

For me, this was money well spent. Living in Michigan, with the winter snows, this was the first time that snow removal...
...

SomeMaineGuy says "Why did we wait so long to buy one?" about Craftsman 9 Bushel 3 - Bin Soft Bagger for 42" Deck

We were very pleased with this product. It was easy to install and easier to use. It only took us 15 minutes to install and all we needed was a 9/16ths wrench. Removing the original bolts from the mower and putting in the shoulder bolts was kind of a tight squeeze between the bolts and the rear tires, so my ratchet didn't work, but a flat wrench worked just fine.

The primary reason we purchased this bagger was to pick up leaves since our house is completely surrounded by maples and oaks. The biggest challenge was knowing when to empty the bags, which really was dependent upon how many leaves were on the ground. If you waited too long to empty it, the tube would get clogged, so you'd have to turn the mower off and unclog it. It was easy to do, but just took a couple extra minutes. You could tell when it clogged because it left a trail of mulched leaves, but after a few rounds around the yard we figured out how often to empty it and it saved a lot of back breaking raking.

We found......

aelinuxguy says "Bad Stock Tires / Release Lever" about Craftsman 12 cu. ft. Dump Cart

There really seem to be two critical flaws with this cart and one of which can be easily resolved:

1. As many folks out here have mentioned, the tubeless tires are not really reliable on this cart. Fortunately, this is an easy fix for $6.32 per tire...just add tubes:

http://www.scrubbercity.com/servlet/the-830/Inner-tube-size-4.80-fdsh-4.00-dsh-8/Detail

I thought my tires were shot, but they are working great with these tubes installed.

2. The release lever dumps the cart way too easily. As suggested by others on this forum, some sort of locking pin should be present. Anybody already made this modification that would care to share their details? Leave a comment with pics if so.

I would certainly not recommend buying this cart if you are looking for a new cart. It may be inexpensive, but for a bit more you can get something without the above design flaws. Hopefully Sears can make these few mods in upcoming models and make this cart a great choice.
...

Craftsman 12.5 cu. ft. Hauling Cart. Shopped all the big box stores and could find no cart better built or at a better price. Sturdy cart with adequate capacity for nearly any chore. The poly cunstruction will never rust or bend like steel carts and the large pneumatic tires and 1" axle match the best of any competitor.

The cart was easy to assemble with help (help needed because my arms weren't long enough to hold the bolts and put the nuts on). I always use, and highly recommend loc-tite for those bolts you do not want comming off.

Have hauld hundreds of pounds of rocks and up to 15 bags of mulch (probably more than the recommended capacity) without problem. The dump ability is a real plus even if it does not dump completely.

Great product at a great price-a real value
...

jeeperpilot says "Amazing piece of metal" about Craftsman Loading Ramps

I picked up a pair 14 gauge steel folding loading ramps. Model number 610.24690. One thousand pound capacity for a single ramp, two thousand pound capacity for using both ramps. They are not the most expensive, also they are not the least expensive. After weeks of widow shopping and homework, because I know my old ones were going to bite the dust, I decided on these for a few reasons. Price, durability, and storage. Excellent price point, heavy metal (not Ozzy), and they fold in half for easy storage. The front page of the manual states that you should wear gloves when working with these, you do not have to, but I would. It makes it a lot easier to work with. The manual also states that you should use cardboard when putting the together, I just put them in the grass and did not have a problem. Assembly took all of twenty minutes, very simple, but you should use the manual as it warns it may take more time to put together. What I like about this style ramp is that it...
...

jeeperpilot says "Steer With One Hand" about Craftsman Craftsman Tractor Steering Knob

My father calls the Craftsman Tractor Steering Knob the suicide knob. I guess that is what people called these things back in the day!!! It is very easy to put on the steering wheel of your tractor/Riding Mower. You only need one hand to steer so you other hand can be free for picking up debris or holding your nice cold beverage!!!! Seriously all you need to install this to any steering wheel is the allen key that is provided. For the price point, around fifteen dollars, it makes a great accessory or gift for any tractor/riding mower owner/fan. If you do decide to have that nice cold beverage make sure you are in the backyard because you can get in some certain trouble if a certain set of uniformed individuals catch you enjoying that nice cold beverage while you are in motion (driving).
...

jeeperpilot says "A Must Have!!!!" about Craftsman Craftsman Tractor Bumper Model # 24599

Craftsman tractor bumper, model # 24599, is a simply must have if you own a riding lawn mower. I own a 1992 Craftsman riding lawn mower with a plow attachment on the front. It took me twenty minutes to install and after I was done I literally jumped up and down on it repeatedly with no problems at all. Heavy gauge steel with plastic end caps. The price point is well worth the investment to protect your tractor, $29.99. If you are a Craftsman Club Member you will save even more depending on the promotions at the time. I personally saved an extra $2.00. It does not sound like much, but it adds up over time. Again, this is a must have!!!!
...

laurihw says "Try Agri-Fab For Tires and Wheels" about Craftsman 12 cu. ft. Dump Cart

I am not going to review this item because we have only been looking at it and have not purchased it. For all of you people who can't find tires and wheels, try Agri-Fab. I'm not certain, but I believe they make this dump cart for Craftsman. Look on their website at:

http://www.agri-fab.com/type/carts/page_2.aspx.

I was reading on Sears' website yesterday about a myriad of dump carts and remember a blurb on one of the web pages about that product being supported and warranted by Agri-Fab.

Hope that helps!
