May not lift as high as the much more expensive crank-up lifts, but it does the job for the few times a year that it is needed.

Was easy to assemble and adjust. It makes removing the mower deck much easier, so I am much more likely to perform service as needed. I am about to change the ground drive belt on my Craftsman tractor and without this lift it would be a very difficult and awkward job.

Being in a rural area, I'm sure the labor, time and transportation savings over taking the tractor to a shop for repair will quickly offset the cost of the lift....

this is the best way to access the lwan mower blades for cleaning and sharpening or replacement. Once the tractor is lifted into the position or heighth you choose,it is very stable and feels very safe to work on the tractor. It has these little locking mechanisms that fall into place when it is lifted and the lift has a great design for lifting either the front end or lift it from the rear. I am very happy with this purchase. My neighbors also commented on how cool it was to lift the tractor up with this tool as i was servicing my machine. over all great product!...

When I picked it up at my local Sears store, I thought I had ordered the wrong product because the box did not say "Craftsman" on it - it said "Made in China." The young associate assured me it was the tractor lift I had ordered and he insisted on loading it into my car for me. When I tried to unload it from my car, I realized why he didn't want me to handle it. The box is about 36" X 24" X 12" and weighs 75 lbs. I decided to open the box while it was still in my car's trunk, then check in and remove all the parts one at a time from there to avoid wrenching my back. All the parts were accounted for. The parts were very well packaged in heavy cardboard, induvidually wrapped in clear plastic bags and some were zip-tied together to prevent damage in shipment. The instructions were clear and I had my tractor up on this lift within half an hour of opening the box. I was concerned about the quality of construction due to the "Made in China" factor, but upon examination, it was obvious that all......

I would highly recommend this tractor lift. It is well worth the cost and made servicing my tractor underneath the mower belly much easier. The instructions to put it together were a little confusing, but following the pictures I finally got it together.

It is well made from strong durable steel and I expect many years of service from it. I am very glad I purchased the lift.
...

This is a very sturdy accessory and a must have for easy access under deck if you work on your own mower/garden tractor. It was easy to assemble. It is fully adjustable to acommodate various sized mowers and comes with additional hardware to allow for front or rear lift of tractors. If you already have a bumper or brush guard on front you don't have to install lifting bar. Keep for quick bolt on to back for rear lift of tractor. I have used routinely for over a year and my only issue with the lift is that a one of the retaining bearing and spring popped out of one of the quick-release pins. Doesn't affect the operation of the lift. I just have to make sure he pin is all the way in before lifting tractor.

The Tractor lift is very sturdy and easy to use. Just place it under your tractore and place your foot on the foot bar and push down.
yardNgard says "hefty hefty hefty" about Craftsman Tractor Lift

The Craftsman tractor lift does just that ... it lifts. :-) I bought the previous model year (Sears had a close out on things) for working on my DYS4500 Craftsman yard tractor. The only difference between models was the paint color of the main body. The package came with the lift, a basic front bumper bar (tube stock, nothing fancy), and attaching hardware. The are plenty of holes in the arms for different heights and for the spacing of the arms on the main base. Heavy angle iron and thick square stock is used so no worries about flimsy junk on this unit.

I had a harder time getting the bumper assembly onto the tractor than I did putting the lift together. Sharp sheet metal edges and tight clearance under the tractor frame/ engine made this a little more difficult so it requires patience. I didn't want the bumper brackets protruding out too far as they then interfere with my tight turns in corners, around obstacles in my yard. I had to play with it a few times to...
...

This lift has been a tremendous assist in accessing the deck for a thorough cleaning and a really quick way to free underdeck debris. The bar handle is simple to use and designed for a good grip while engaging the lift with little effort or strain. It works on my Husqvarna as stated. The money I paid is well worth the ease it gives me in getting under my deck compared to the pain it used to be. I like this product....

I don't generally get excited, but when I first saw the ad for this tractor lift and then researched it, I became exited, and purchased the lift. This product is smart engineering, easy to use, strong and safe, and provides much convenience for accessing the lower and underside areas of the lawn tractor. It will lift the tractor from the front or rear. See the video at the product site under "Experience this product"....

The tractor lift was unassembled and took under an hour to put together. It works. I had the tractor blades off in minutes but still had to lie on the ground as the lift did not lift very high. At $189 the price was a bit steep especially because it came unassembled and in a box. I had no idea about that because I had to order it--the store was out--and the one on the floor that I had seen previously was assembled, obviously. So on that score, buyer beware.
...

mowingmama says "Love this lift!!!" about Craftsman Tractor Lift

My husband and I bought this a few days ago. We absolutely love it!! It is so easy to use. It lifts the mower up so we can change the blades and clean under the deck. Before we got this, my husband would lift our mower up by the bumper and I would set the jack stands under it for him to set it on. This lift is so much easier... and safer. He told me today that twice before the mower had fell off the jack stands onto his arms while he was changing the blades. We don't have to worry about that anymore!! I know this lift is pretty expensive, but we feel it's worth the price for the convenience and for the safety. Also, we put this together in about 30 minutes. It wasn't hard to assemble. However, we were missing the number "7" parts - the tractor brackets. I don't know if they were suppose to be included or not, but our mower does have a bumper so it didn't matter. We love this and we're glad we bought it!!!...

This won't be a complete review but here goes.

After nearly 15 years use I decided to buy a new Craftsman
riding lawn mower. Since changing belts has always been a
real pain in the neck I bought this lift. I haven't used it yet
but it appears to be very well made. I had to install the additional bar to the front of the mower but all the parts are included. I hope the lift helps changing belts easier. I have no complaints but don't forget I haven't actually used it yet.

Can't some one come up with a better way to propel a mower and its blades other than belts? This is such an ancient and poor technology. As I said it is extremely hard to replace them....

I liked the fact that I could order online and pick it up at the store for free. This is a great item and very easy to use. It was easy to put together, all the parts were in the box plus a couple f extra bolts, and went together in no time at all. I didn't have to buy a front bumper, because a stand-in for one comes in the box... I originally got it to simplify putting new blades on my tractor...I can now easily clean the bottom of my mower deck (without having to drive up loading ramps on the back of my pickup truck). Worth the money and it seems very stable, no fear when using. I'd recommend it....
