Purchased this item based on model/serial number of my mower. The product was not the correct one. When I opened the package it was three (3) belts instead of one. Need to return....

I want to thank the Sears Service department for forcing me to figure out how to install this belt on my riding mower. I called the service department number that I received from the lawn and garden department. This occured on Friday, September 30th 2011. Since I am physically disabled, I was more than willing to pay the $99 fee to have a technician come out and look at my mower to fix the problem. However, when the person on the other end of the line informed me that the earliest the technician would be able to come out would be October 31, 2011, I decided that even I could repair the mower before Sears would be able to come out to look at it. I had no idea that October was such a busy month for lawn mower repairs. I think by the end of October, the odds of needing my snowblower will be greater than needing my lawn mower. Either way, I had the belt installed within 3.5 hours and saved the $99 fee. Thanks Sears Service !...

1st mower bought brand new and has required some sort of repair almost every time I use it. The mowing deck design causes the problem. I have replaced more belts, bolts, etc., than an be imagined and whether I do it or have a Sears technician come out makes no difference.

I cannot afford to replace it and am unable to sell it in good conscience to anyone else, so I am stuck. This is the first Craftsman product that has been so problematic for me.

I was only able to cut the grass one time before the belt was stretched to long, even after adjustment. I was told I had to use a Craftsman Belt not another cheaper brand. But after all this I feel I was ripped off. I'll find a belt somewhere else that will work.

I had purchased an aftermarket brand belt (supposedly very tough, it was made with kevlar, had good reviews, etc. It just fell apart after one season's use. The previous Craftsman belt had last several years. i replaced it this time with a real Craftsman belt and it is running fine.

Belt works fine under heavy abuse. I expect it to last 2 seasons like the last one and the ones before it. Installation was just as easy as the last one. I don't see a difference with the new manufacturer. It transfers the power to the blades effectively, but I expect thtat....

Works find. What can you say about a fan belt. It sure is overpriced though. I'll definately look elsewhere for one next time.

These belts are always missized so make sure you take in your old belt to size the new one against...

Sears should sell a original belt for the mowers they sell not just Craftsman. We were told because our Husquvarna mower was 5 years old we will need to use a non-original replacement belt. It works but its thinner and narrower then the original.

Orginally picked up the wrong belt at a Sears Store, mistakely purchased a drive belt. This belt is much larger, easy to install, should have ordered two, because the down time between breaking the belt and watching the grass grow until the new one came in was nerve racking. Very quick shipment, did whole ordering on-line, used a BOA link to get a nice discount too!

these replacement belts are made in china they break easy and/or strech out i had to take mine back i wish they would get them made by gates belts someone with a name rather than the cheapest way and they can make 300 percent profit

Replaced old belt perfectly. May seem loose when first installed but it works well without slippage.

Very good quality, seems better than original. Tractor drive feels solid with the new belt. I use all year around for grass cutting and snow throwing.
