The Craftsman Professional Bumper Sold by Sears Item# 07191292000 | Model# 418910 Price was nice. Reg Price: $19.99 I saved $10.00 on sale and it was only $9.99 Front bumper is painted Yellow. It shipped to my local Sears store with free shipping, what a plus. I've got a used Poulan Pro, it's a 917 style tractor and like the Product Description states the bumper will fit other brands like Poulan Pro, Weedeater, Craftsman etc. and that's true. My tractor has yellow accents on the wheels and mower deck, The yellow bumper looks good installed. I bought the bumper to protect my tractor's hood, and headlights- my renter at my Florida rental house uses the mower to do the yard and was always bumping into things around the yard - it was only matter of time until I was looking at replacement parts to repair the front of my tractor.

The install- assembly is required. To me, I couldn't beat the price, like I said it was nice, the assembly went nice too. The pre-drilled holes in...

I purchased a new Snapper Riding mower at the Sears store and was sold this bumper at the sales associates recommendation. Needless to say when I prepared to install it I found it was not made for my mower. This resulted in a 35 mi trip to return and 20 min. of explanation as to why I was returning it. By the way they do sell a bumper to fit my mower available only online and at twice the cost since discounts applied at the time of purchase would not apply.

I have owned two previous yard tractors that did not have a guard on the front. I did not know any better at the time. Both of those tractor eventually suffered damage to the front covers from pushing the limits and bumping into things. The guard is a great way to prevent this from happening. Additionally, it provides an extra location to tie onto for pulling objects or the tractor when it gets stuck. I would recommend purchasing a guard of some type. (I bought mine on sales and got an additional discount for purchasing on a friends and family night. It ended up costing me the same price as the regularly priced single bar guard.)

This is a nice bumper. I am getting a better cut around my evergreens as it pushes the branches out of the way. I had to straighten the deflector pan under my exhaust muffler before installing, now it is protected. I shouldn't have to do that anymore. The hood moves just as freely with the bumper installed. Instructions are acually more complex than the installation, so just use common sense.

I purchased a new Craftsman lawn tractor this spring and noticed it didn't have any protection in the front. I ignored this fact for a few months until one day when I came very close to crunching the front of my nice new lawn tractor! The sears personalized web page was a huge help in that it had exactly what I needed already listed as a suggested item.

The bumper feels very solid and is easy to attach. My only complaint is the directions included with the bumper are not very good - nearly worthless. Nevertheless, it wasn't difficult to see where it should attach and the entire operation took less than 20 minutes to complete.

The design is simple and definitely adds to the visual appeal of my lawn tractor and also adds a certain amount of confidence that if I do have an unexpected collision some day, my lawn tractor will be just fine.

I would definitely recommend purchasing one of these -- ideally at the time you purchase your lawn tractor as it seems an unnecessary risk to operate...

The brush guard is almost a requirement for a new lawn mower. Many of the new mower just have plastic hoods now so you need something to protect the hood. We have a lot of ever greens on our property and the brush guard does a good job of protecting the mower. The ends of the guard are a flexible rubber which protect objects if you get to close to them with the mower.

Installing the guard took a bit longer than expected. To bolt the guard to the frame of the tractor was more difficult than expected. It wasn't physically hard but trying to hold the bolt in place while trightening the nut in a very limited space proved a bit tough. I spent about 40 minutes installing the guard.

Over all I believe it to be a very important investment to protect the mower.
