I purchased these beautiful ornaments because I wanted the look and feel of an old-fashioned Christmas tree without the danger of the breakable ornaments. They are just gorgeous, and when you put them with the pre-made color-coordinating bows and topper, they just make an absolutely stunning display. I highly recommend them!

The tree itself is a fairly standard atrificial tree. Nothing special.

However, the lights are really annoying. If you want huge, super bright lights flashing in siezure-inducing patterns, this may be the tree for you. However, if you would like a tree where you can actually controll the lights, this is not it.

Not only do the lights reset every time the power is cycled (as indicated in other reviews), and not only does the pattern speed control have little effect, in our second season with this tree, the controller inputs failed in their entirety. Our tree is prepetually stuck on a rapidly changing rapidly flashing pattern that is extremely distracting. Pressing buttons and turning knobs has no effect.

If you need a christmas tree as a store display to call attention to itself, this may be the tree for you. If you want a tree as a decoration in your living room, this tree is pretty awful.

Very cute tree, I bought this tree to sit out front on the porch but after looking it over I thought it was to cute to sit out side and possiable get rained and snowed on, I think I'll keep it inside to brighten up the dining room.

I have always thought yards decorated in mixed solid colors were more striking than all white or the multi-color displays. I use red, green, blue, amber, and some of the C6 whites. LED whites come most often listed as "warm" or "cool" describing the color output. This is a "cool" set meaning there is the slightest blue hint making them represent ice.

I have three baby pines in the front yard and I wrap the trunks with red LED buttons. These C6 whites are then tied to limbs to create a "fruit" type effect and creates a sense of harvest in the display. The look is outstanding.

LEDs' use much less power than older mini-light sets by 9 times. Connect 5 sets of minis together or 45 sets of LEDs' ! This means either less energy used OR the ability to display many more lights. Five years into ownership I have not had a single burn out or failure to perform of any kind. Lens material is a plastic that is much tougher than the old mini-light glass material. Mine have burned in rain, snow, high winds...

My family had many wonderful Christmas traditions when I was growing up. However nothing comes to mind more clearly then coming home for Christmas Eve services at church and putting on my Pajamas, turning on the television and watching A Christmas Story movie marathon. The Department 56 A Christmas Story - (Ralphie's House) decorative house is a must have for anyone who like me loves the movie and all the memories that are conected with it. This house will make a nice addition to any fans collection!
