This thing sucks food would get cooked faster in the sun put a brisket on and 11 hours later had to put in the oven to finish had side box so hot the paint pealed off and it would not get over 160 degrees this grill should be recalled but the manufacture just tells you you need to play with the stack I told them this is not my first rodeo but it was my last bbq pro and I took it back 5 days later hope sears got somewhere with them good luck to all who buy one keep your receipt so you can take it back the only good reviews must be from people who sell this grill don't say I hadn't warn you Thanks

Wonderful infrared grill. I used this grill at a friend's about a month ago and I plan to purchase it when it goes on sale over Thanksgiving. It cooked the food very evenly and it was great to see the nice sear marks both on our steaks and chicken. I was also amazed on how easy it was to clean. Not sure about some of the other reviews stating difficulty, I assume they didn't read the manual that came with it. All they had to do when done grilling was turn it to high for 10-15 minutes. We then went back out, let the grates cool a little then shake the ash off. It was wonderful. No brushes needed to get into the crevises or anything. Amazing grill, can't wait to get it.

I purchased a Gas Grill about 4 years ago with a service plan that I had just renewed. It was a 5 burner Stainless Steel Sears Kenmore gas grill. Since I use the grill thru the entire year, it needed some work done. The inside was rusting out ( stainless ?) and the burners were not lighting properly. I called the Sears service center to set up at at home service call. I explained the problem and the person I spoke to said I did not need a service call, she would send me the grate and a couple other parts. When I received the parts they were not all sent, but I already had the grill apart and noticed a few other parts were corroded. I called again, explained the wrong parts and order new parts. Well the wrong parts came. This was now going on 4-5 weeks in the beginning of the summer. It took me 5 times of ordering parts and calling ( once I was sent 5 brass side burners) . My wife's birthday was coming up and we always have a cook out. They finally sent someone...

I purchased one of these covers for my new Kenmore gas grill a couple of years ago, and while I will agree that the cover is nice and heavy and unaffected by strong winds, I have found that the material gets stiff and susceptible to tearing in cold weather. I experienced a couple of tears in the material when removing or replacing the cover over the grill when temperatures were near 40 or below, and these have expanded to the point where I now need to replace the cover. It's not that the cover is too tight - there's plenty of excess material. I just caught it on one of the side trays and it easily ripped. I will be looking for something that holds up better in the colder weather we can experience in northern Illinois.

my hubby wanted a new grill so i finally said lets go look at them.

we came across this one it seemed to be a nice grill.

it took a while to put it together( after I told him he had the legs on the wrong side it went allot faster) LOL but after it was a nice sturdy grill.

Then he finally realized that you can not add lava rocks to it and now he wants to return it. ( because he can cook inside on the stove or in the oven and get the same result/ taste. he needs to find a gas grill with lava rocks. or a charcoal grill that has a gas side burner. as that was the hole reason of buying this one was he wanted one with a side burner.

Kenmore model #720-0679R 3 burner grill

I have the an issue with the lack of heat being kept inside the cooking compartment. I can't get the grill much above 400F. That is upon start-up and once I start cooking, when you have to open and close the cover to check on what you are cooking you have all you can do to maintain 300F. I had the Sears service man check it out. Conclusion, the hood is a bad design. When we closed of the back side of the hood off the cooking compartment jumped to 600F in less than 5 minutes. The feedback from the manufacturer is that the unit is not designed to go above 400F. That is not good, I can't even get it hot enough to burn off the previous grilling residue.

The salesman was not real enthusiastic about giving me my money back! I purchased the maintenance agreement with the grill, maybe I should call them on a weekly basis to come fix it.

If rating from 1-10, I give this unit a 10 for looks and a 2 for functionallity!

I would much rather have this Weber grill than any other grill. Nothing can beat the taste of charcoal grilled food! Not even the fanciest... most expensive... gas grill in the world! I have a weber charcoal grill that is probably about ten years old and works as good as new! Steaks taste amazing fresh off the grill with corn on the cob, and a potato! We also love to make fish on the grill either in foil packets with citrus fruits sliced up, or a whole fillet of fresh salmon with the skin on one side and lemon pepper seasoning or teriyaki! Yum!

My wife and I bought the Kenmore 5-burner grill when it was on sale and have been very satisfied with it. It has a good enamel paint coating that provides protection as it sits outside our patio subject to exposure to rain. We bought a canvas cover for it but it still is subject to the moisture and humidity. We converted the grill from the propane tank to our natural gas line with little problem. The grill has the capacity to cook a lot of items at one time and the grates are fairly easy to clean.

The BBQ Pro Smoker Grill is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. I had shopped around at other retailers and the big home stores with no luck. I walked into my K-Mart store and saw this grill. I made my mind up at that point to purchase the grill. I got it hame and within an hour I had it together, with my sons help. The next day I seasoned and cured the grill as I have done with all my grills. The first meal I prepared on my new grill were steaks and they turned out great. I would love to tell you that is because of my cooking ability, But alot of it was the grill. The grill for the price is consturcted vey well and I like the iron grates that came with it rather than the coated ones you generaly get when you buy a new grill. I am looking ahead to the a fall, and winter full of great grilling. (In Florida we can grill in the winter without a jacket/parka:) ) Anyway I just want everyone to know if you like to grill and smoke this grill is a must. Great price and good quality.......

This is basically a down to earth grill with a simple, ingenious system that will save you time and hassle.

Basically, instead of having separate dishes to marinate and serve your meat, you use the removeable grate of the grill!

There is a dish pan and cover that the grate fits right into. You put your fixings on there and marinate for however long you want to. Go heat up your grill, and voila! Use the special tool to place the grate with the marinated food right onto the grill for grilling!

Guess what! Once the cooking's done, remove the grate and place it on the special tray and you have your serving platter!

That whole process, and no dishes soiled ... does life get better?

Why not? That's the question to ask yourself if you grill out frequently. If you grill out once in a long while, then maybe this small investment is not for you.

If you do, go out and get one of these right now! It's great to have hooked up all the time, or, if your grill doors do not support the added length, just to through it on there to gauge things before grilling.

This handy little device will save any headaches from the propane going away during your cookout as you will always be prepared knowing your gas levels.

I agree that the instructions for this grill stink. I did realize that when attaching the side shelves that the two screws that attach toward the top underneath the shelf have to come from inside the grill. This was not made clear in the instructions and really made it feel a lot sturdier. before I realized to change the screws, I felt that the sides would snap off if I tried to move the grill. I also had to use some of my own extra lock washers. They don't give you enough for what they tell you to use in the book. Other than that, I feel that the grill is pretty strong. Got the doors swinging right after adjusting them for about 30 minutes. Now the real test. Cooking some steaks as long as the rain holds up...stupid Chicago summer.

To all reading this " please, please" go out if you haven't already and try the Goerge Foreman Grill, it saved my sanity believe me. I used to hate coming home having to cook dinner. I went and bought one and my i loved it mind you my children are grown and gone on their own, so it's only me and i could grill anything on it, burgers, steaks,porkchops even some vegetables. I tell you i love it and strongly reccomend it to all, especially if you have children. It is so simple to use with no real mess. so try it you'll like it

Had the same issue with this GasWatch gauge that many had. Worked great initially but stopped "passing gas" after a while. Thought I had an empty tank, but it was still heavy. THEN I read the directions! Apparently this gauge has a built in safety that shuts down the fuel supply if it detects a leak. I reconnected the gauge and pushed in on the spring loaded face dial a couple of times and bingo...back to full tank reading and gas flowing again. This company must get many returns because of this requirement. Good Grillin!

This is an outdoor kitchen (minus the dishes and sink!). It's easy to use, so anyone can do it. Being a single mom of two boys, I can have the boys in the yard or pool and be able to keep an eye on them while cooking dinner. You can do everything right there -- veggies, meat, and all sides (including tortillas or bread). The kids are happy, you can turn dinner into a fun event for the kiddos. The flavor of grilling wins my kids over every time.

The grill itself is easy to set-up, easy to use, and easy to clean. It eliminates long clean up time which leaves more room for family time.

This grill has made me someone who wants to grill all year round -- even in snow. I'm looking forward to it. Take it from someone who used to be afraid of a gas grill, I would NEVER go back to charcoal. I have seen the light -- literally!

BUY THIS GRILL AND YOU WILL ENJOY COOKING ALL OVER AGAIN!

I recently purchased the BBQ Pro Barrel Smoker with Offset Firebox and was simply unsatisfied, and humiliated when I had to take the ribs off the grill and cook them in my oven after I got done bragging to all my guests what a great deal I got at sears. This GRILL does not perform as a barrel smoker and should not be named as such. As I am sure others have found out, the temperature does not get hot enough to cook the meat as it smokes it. Just for the record I had the offset firebox almost completely full of white- hot charcoal and the hottest I was able to get it was 170 degrees. For those of you looking for a BBQ smoker I would not recommend this particular model, for it does not function as it's name suggests. I wish I would have read some reviews first.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this grill. It heats quickly, grills very well, and has a fairly large grilling surface for more grilling fun. I have used it on several occasions to feed groups of 13+ and was able to serve everyone simultaneously vs. serving in shifts. At the same time, the grill is not over-bulky. I live in an apartment and it is still small enough to fit on my deck.

I also really like the warming rack, it is nice to keep meat warm, without overcooking.

The timer is useless, because it hardly makes a sound, and I don't really use the side burner - I usually just use it as a shelf.

Finally, it will take you an hour or two to set up, and you have to be very carefull to make sure that it is completely straight, otherwise you will spend another hour trying to get the cabinet doors to shut. Though all said and done, this grill was much easier to assemble than others I have seen.

Overall, this is a great grill and I would recommend it to anyone.

This Kenmore Gas Grill Cover is really nice. I just recently bought a Kenmore grill (680 sq. in, 3 burner, red), and thought that I should buy the cover to protect the grill against the weather.

My grill sits on a deck with no shelter against sun or rain, and this cover has done a wonderful job. It can get pretty windy, but this Kenmore cover has never blown off or away. Plus, it looks nice too - not a bad combination.

To anyone thinking about getting a grill, you should absolutely get a grill cover. They aren't too expensive and they will help keep your grill looking new and clean.

Just bought the Kenmore, model # 415.16123801, grill to replace a 5 year old CharBroil grill. Felt we got a very good price, $199.99. We understand that this is a low end item but it comes with some very nice features, such as a side burner,temp. gauge and 3 burners. I am not what you call a "handyman" but it only took an hour and half to put it together. Instructions were pretty clear although they could do a better job in identifying the parts (ie.a numbering system) but they also have put together the highly technical parts such as primary burners, propane hose, electric start and main body of the grill. When I had finished putting everything together and did a test, everything worked just great. We will be using it the first time for dinner tonight.
