We bought this because our back deck always gets so super sunny and muggy at supper time, so forever we couldnt eat outside. This umbrella is easy to use, covers the whole table in shade and easy to adjust. Would definitely reccomend!...

This umbrella is of poor quality. It is light which I liked because I could take it up and down myself but any wind at all and it knocks over the table. My table is heavy. It strains so hard against the tilt mechanism that you can barely tilt it with one person. Also the cranking mechanism is junk. Sometimes you have to physically pull down the center of the umbrella because the string gets too much slack inside the pole. Sarratoga is a much sturdier umbrella. Oh yeah, just a tip for anyone like me that is shopping for an umbrella and stand for the first time. Make sure the stand and umbrella are the same brand otherwise the pole won't be the right fit....

I bought this umbrella along with my 7pc Peyton dining pation set. I wanted to have complete coverage from the hot sun during the summer months over the table.

My biggest gripe is with the base. They suggest placing 210 pounds of sand bags into the base, but the base is made of plastic and with all that weight, it will be very difficult to move if you have to relocate the piece. The base also will not be set to close properly once all of the sand bags are in so you may have to try a few times to get it to lock closed. Yes, even with 210 lbs of sand in the base, the wind was still able to get under the umbrella and move it and tip it.

The umbrella is large and sways back and forth on windy days. If the wind gets under this umbrella, it will tip or break. I made sure I kept it closed at all times until I needed it. At first I wanted it open, but I was caught off guard and winds came through and almost broke it. I was able to close it just in time.

The post of the umbrella has a cool tilt...

I was pleased with the TERA-COTTA color, instead of red. It has lasted all summer with high winds. Just be sure to get a "HEAVE BASE" to hold it down. One day I found it in our pool...no damage....

Not heavy enough for matching umbrella to stay in on semi windy days so I always take out between uses. Looks good though.

I bought the entire patio set including swivel chairs and its a great look and I was really happy with it until the other day when I went to roll up the umbrella and the metal clasp where the pin goes through is not metal at all but plastic. It snapped and there is no fixing it. The umbrella alone was over 100 and again it looks great and has great coverage bc it is so wide but, having plastic pieces to look like metal just wont do the trick when your talking about weather proof and sturdyness.

The store was great and refunded me my money but they dont have it in stock anymore and now I am left without a matching umbrella. Its only 2 months old so, when i went on line, the umbrella is 100 more on line that in the store.

Not sure what I will do but wish it had been better made.

I love this umbrella- we bought it to go with the Clayton 7 piece patio set. Did not like that it and the stand were all separate purchases. I bought this from the Sears Outlet- it had been a floor model. It was in new condition. I purchased the other pieces from the Seasrs website. My only other complaint is that there were no instructions on how to use the tilt feature- we have not used it yet. I am sure my husband will figure it out- but I think it should have been in the instructions. Overall- I am pleased with this purchase.

This umbrella stand does just what it was purchased to do - hold our umbrella. It's heavy (though not too heavy) and fits well beneath our patio/deck table. I can't see any reason why we would need to replace this umbrella stand in the next few years, therefore for the price it's well worth it. Would gladly recommend this piece.

We purchased this stand to go with the 7 piece patio set & 9 ft umbrella. It seems to be heavy enough to hold the umbrella as needed. Matches the set perfectly. I wish it came with the umbrella- but other than that- no real negatives. It did not come with any instruxtions- but was pretty straight forward to screw together. We love the look of this set.

We bought the 7-piece dining set and are very happy with it. We thought the umbrella was pricey but worth it to match. Big mistake. When folded, it is tough to get to the handle to open. When open, it does not close easily and the second time we closed it, one of the aluminum tube struts failed at a fastener, completely snapped. And not in a way that could be band-aided. Took it back for a refund.

A few minutes after returning it, we saw one up in the store on display with the same look as our broken one. Why would they display our broken one? It wasn't ours, the display one had failed exactly the same.

Would give it no stars, but I have to give it one.

This umbrella was expensive, but within the first month the angle adjuster broke. Two months after, the pole snapped in two, showing the poor plastic quality. I will never buy that brand again.
