This combination microwave/oven fit the space the old one was in. This limited space left me with very limited choices to choose from. This was the best choice based on features and price and reviews of others.

Pros: The microwave is very quite and powerful. It heats stuff up faster than the one it replaced and does so much quiter. Controls are simple to use without having to read the manual.

Cons: The oven is VERY SLOW to pre-heat. It takes 15+ minutes to pre-heat to 400 degrees. The old oven, when it worked, did it in 5 - 6 minutes. There is a metal cover over the bottom heating element and I am sure that is the reason it is so slow to pre-heat. This cover makes cleaning easier, but this is a self-cleaning oven...

Also, this oven has a blower. The blower at the low speed is almost silent. But the higher speed is loud! When the installers where here, I asked about the noise the blower made and he turned the oven on and I could just bearly hear it. I thought,...

We recently purchased this unit to replace our 1978 unit. We were very excited about the great price (we got some discounts and ultimately paid around $1600 total). I picked up the oven/microwave, and installed myself (not a big deal if you are handy and have help lifting).

We ran the oven for the required "burn-in", but noticed the fan noise most of the time the oven ran. After reading the user manual I realized that this is "normal". Our excitemnt about our new oven quickly turned to frustration. This oven makes a LOUD fan noise.. (like a hairdryer running in the kitchen) most of the time the oven is on and for about an hour after it shuts off.

We quickly went online to read reviews (which we failed to do before hand). Apparently, many new ovens make a loud fan noise. However, what I can tell from reading many reviews, is that the loudness of the fan is probably subjective to some people, and is "not as loud" on other units/brands.

This one is LOUD.. we can hear it in the dining room...

We bought our house a year ago and the product is just 3 years old. Unfortunately, the microwave portion caused a fire inside the compartment while making pop corn. When we tried have the item repaired no repairman would come. After several attempts to find a replacement we would have to replace the whole unit because there are no separate microwaves for this product. It was a good microwave until now and the over has had no problems. However, if you get a lemon microwave you will have to replace an oven that works because there they do not make replace microwaves separately. Additionally, removing the microwave from the wall unit is near impossible as the it is bolted inside with little space to unscrew from the inner shelves. Save yourself some time and money by not having a wall unit system....

We have owned this oven for 2 yrs now. It was a replacement, through our home warranty, for our 20 yr old oven. In the 2 years that we have owned it we have had 4 service calls, (all at $60.00 each) all for components of the microwave. Three of those calls were within a 6 month period and we have now been without a microwave for 2 1/2 months because they don't seem to manufacture enough replacement parts to keep up with the demand. The technician tried several things to try and get it to work (well over $400.00 worth of parts/labor/etc on the home warranty) When the unit works, it works well. As others have said, the fan on the oven can be loud and when its 110 outside and you're trying to cool your home, you certianly hate having loads of hot air being blown into the kitchen for the full duration of your baking plus some. I would not reccommend this product. The unit I have seems to be manufactured by Fridgedaire for Kenmore. Although the unit comes together, the microwave and......

Bad smell when micro is on and moisture comes out of top of oven and drips down front of oven door onto the floor. Sears gladly replaced it....

This unit is very noisy. The temp display is not acurat temp. When using timer it is replace by temp display after a few seconds. So one has to keep punching timer button to see how long is left to cook. This is stupid when trying to coordinate a dinner. But the noise is awful. Hate this unit and are replaceing at great cost. Lettering is hard to read and small. Panel does not light up on Microwave....

I like the way the oven and microwave cook, but I do not like the fact that the cooling fan is actually louder than my old dishwasher. I can actually hear it over the dishwasher when both are working. I would recommend for cooking but not for silence when running. My husband wears hearing aids but can hear the fan without wearing them....

I've been using my Microwave/Electric Wall Oven for 3+ weeks now and have no complaints. I waited until after cooking our big Thanksgiving feast to see if anything was not as promised...but no, I'm very happy with it. One evening the microwave door release did stick closed when the button was pushed. We found that by pushing either the right or left side of the button (instead of in the middle) makes it open every time. We are very happy withour Kenmore purchase. Good quality at a great price!

Happy with product thus far. Have a couple of issues but not significant. The fan noise is a bit of an annoyance and the oven takes a little long to preheat to higher temperatures. Would purchase again.

In 2010, I bought 4 major appliances from Sears (I remodeled kitchen) and just a week ago the microwave hood combination went totally dead. Of course the warranty had just expired. The cost to have Sears come out would approx. be over $250+. I believe from the other reviews, this microwave should be recalled. There's should be no reason for an appliance to break down so quickly (with little use). I only use the microwave to heat up vegs. and water. What happened to quality and standing by their products. Also the lighting under the hood is very poor.

I’ve had this oven for over a year now with no problems. It cooks really well for the little use I give it. I use it about 1-3 times a week mainly for baking cakes, frozen pizza, and an occasional turkey or ham during the holidays. The microwave works great for defrosting, reheating, and popcorn. Has a ton of cooking options I rarely use.

This oven has a fairly loud fan. Not crazy loud but noticable. It starts not long after you turn the oven on, it stays on while cooking, and then stays on 20 minutes after you’re done. Not sure what the purpose of the fan is, but it blows warn into the kitchen. Not a big deal for me because I do not cook that often, but it heats up the kitchen more than my 25 yr. old model did.

Second, yes, the button to open the microwave is kind of quirky. You have to deliberately press down on it firmly to open the door. I was used to my old microwave which I had to just barely touch to open the door. I’ve gotten used to the new one and I don’t even...

Oven works just fine and is great. We have had this model for over 4 yrs and was selected by the builders. In the 4yrs the microwave has had over 4 repairs and we are just tired of it. Parts are also very difficult to come by.

Pros: great oven

Con: microwave door levers breaks easily. Parts difficult to come by.

I purchased this product four months ago but due to kitchen renovations did not have it installed until a few days ago. I was incredibly dissapointed with this unit. The microwave seems inferior. The door latch does not work very well and the light did not come on at all. The "stainless steel" seemed to peel off around the oven window with the protective wrap which leads me to wonder how much of the product is really stainless steel at all.

When we called to complain the service we received was atrocious. Based on this experience I would highly reccommend AGAINST purchasing this appliance or anything from Sears. Go to ********** or ***** instead!
