Anonymous says "Craftman Cordless Glue Gun" about Craftsman 60 watt Glue Gun, Cordless

Unfortunately a Craftsman product has let me down. When I received it, it had glue all over it and I thought that it may have been primed at the factory to prevent burning up with no glue. Now I suspect that it may have been a return that they put back on the shelf without looking at it. I cleaned it all out and tried to use it but it is very difficult to use too many pumps of the trigger to dispense, too much dripping, and too long to heat up. I have a 20 year old glue gun that I wanted to replace but I am returning this one and keeping my old corded gun. Hopefully they will come out with a better unit for a few more dollars. We are willing to pay good money for a good product. This is not a good product....

MKC1957 says "Definitely has design flaw" about Craftsman Industrial Glue Gun

I have been using this glue gun since the mid-90's and have had many, many replacements due to the glue oozing problem. The one nice thing about this glue gun is the fact that if you save your receipt you can exchange it for a new one within a year of buying it because it has a year warranty. I use these quite heavily so mine are constantly dying. Besides the oozing problem it also has an overheating problem which has never been solved. Occasionally you will find pieces of the rubber used inside the glue gun in your glue and this is a sign that trouble is indeed ahead. The rubber inside is some type of insulation and once the glue gun starts overheating this starts to disintegrate and then the oozing problem begins. The only reason I continue to buy this one is that it is the only one on the market that doesn't make my carpal tunnel problem flare up. All of the others are designed differently and my carpal tunnel problem really gets aggravated....

This is the worst glue gun ever. And the second one I've tried
after returning the first one because the glue wasn't feeding through. With this glue gun it has to be pressed fourteen times,
yes, fourteen times to get glue to dispense. This is a big disappointment with the quality Craftsman usually has.
I'm going to the nearest craft store and get something more reliable which will increase project production. This one is poor
in performance for project production (decorating wreaths and
other projects)...

Good reason for the drip pad, whatever amount of glue stick is in the gun will end up there. This wastes your raw material, the glue! Cannot recommend this one....

johnhenry says "Performance" about Craftsman Industrial Glue Gun

My glue gun performed as expected for a few months. After that, the glue was seeping out of the cooling vents on both sides of the gun. It continued through today when I removed the screws on the side of the gun to see what was causing the problem. Lo and behold, the rubber boot connecting the heating unit to the glue stick had separated at the merge point. The spring covering this rubber boot was completely covered with glue as was the inside of the gun. Replacement of the rubber boot would be in order if I could find a part (I wasn't successful.) At $30 this glue gun is probably considered a disposable item as it wouldn't be cost effective to stock parts. Looks like a design defect to me....

Im very dissapointed. I paid the extra money and thought i would get some quality.

This is honestly the worst glue gun ive ever used. The whole gun heats up so much that it melts the gluestick all the way up the barrell, causing the whole gun to harden up. Now, everytime I want to use it, I have to let the entire gun, plastic casing and all, get so hot that the glue stick inside becomes one long tube of melted goo.

I think ill try the $4 gun, my last el-cheapo glue gun worked great until i lost it....
