<p>I purchased a hand riveter from a competitor for only a few bucks less than this one. When used with a couple steel rivets the compression arm folded-in on itself (I guess I don't know my own strength :P). This riveter fit in the tight space on the front of my truck with ease and pulled the steel rivet through without any issues. The swivel-head helped it fit in the space between the radiator and bumper.</p>...

Floyd9 says "Used to be craftsman, but looks the same." about Stanley Riveter -Die Cast Metal(Uses(1/8 in.-5/32 D Stainless Steel)&amp;(1/8 in.-3/16 in

<p>Well, looks indentical to the craftsman puller I brought in today except for the yellow handle-covers and the "stanley" name on it. Also so same price I paid 4 years ago for mine. Hopefully they didn't change anything about it, I must have pulled 10k rivets with this thing. Was missing a bolt on the rear of the tool head, put still pulled them for a long time. Today I pulled it out, and it just flat-out wouldn't grab a rivet. Don't understand why. Regardless, even if I just had to go out and buy a new one, I wouldn't hesitate. I've used malco and the lookalikes, and the cheapo's. Franky, I find the expensive Malco brand a pain in the ***, always pinching you and needing adjustment. THIS is the puller you want if its manufactured the same as the Craftsman was.</p>...

Maybe made by Arrow or Stanley. The only problem was crushing the metal closure loop while popping rivets....

Used 8 rivets with the riveter and, suprise, it would not fasten. The riveter held the rivet and would not release it. The ratchet action stopped. Its going back with the rivet still stuck in the riveter.
Don't even think about purchasing this. Yea, good value, good features, if they worked....

i was surprised this riveter works as well as it does. i was seriously worried i'd bend the handles popping large (3/16" 1/2" grip stainless) rivets but so far that hasn't happened. i replaced the metal closure loop with a piece of nylon string, i kept accidentally CRUSHING the metal loop while popping rivets. nylon string was the best thing i've found to keep it closed when not in use. i like that it comes with multiple "bits". it seems to reliably eject the spent rivet pins....

Santa gave me this rivet tool. The two levers are good and stought. Keeping the other nosepieces in the handle is very smart and handy; but what about the wrench? It would be nice to have a place for it too!!!...
