I needed a buffet that was reasonably priced, sturdy, and would blend well with the kitchen in my 100 year old home. The finish was just a tad darker than the image, and there were two small areas on the front bottom where the finish was not properly applied (each the size of a pencil eraser). Other than the finish issue, I have no complaints. The stainless top means that in addition to providing extra storage, I also have additional workspace. I was concerned about having a piece of furniture shipped to my home. I worried even more after I watched UPS drop the 100lb box off the back of the truck. However, when I opened the box the pieces were extremely well packaged and suffered not a bit. Assembly did take well over an hour. The piece seems sturdy and is VERY heavy once assembled.

I am so please with this hutch! I shopped around for this specific one for quite some time and found it on Sears.com for the cheapest price ($237.00) during the pre Veterans day sale (free shipping as well). It is great quality and the perfect size for my kitchen. The directions were very specific and it took my husband only about 2 1/2 hours to put together. The only thing that I am not 100% happy with is the depth of the drawers. We cannot put our regular silverware holder inside, we have to find one that is about 10 1/2in (length) x 9in (width).Overall, I am extremly happy with my purchase and with Sears.com. I still would have purchased this even with the slight issue with the drawers.

This china cabinet is absolutely beautiful. The directions are complete and easy to follow. It probably would take 2 people who are good at construction about an hour to complete. I was able to put it together by myself, which is saying a lot considering I’m completely inept when it comes to putting anything together. All of the pieces came well packaged, with all the tools needed, and without a single flaw. I would not recommend putting it together without some help because you’d have to stack the top piece, which is really heavy. It’s a wonderful product and I’d definitely recommend buying it.

Overall, I am pleased with this nice looking caninet. Sturdy wood, looks better in person, its longer as opposed to wider. It's roomy, great for trinkets, small & medium size dolls, crystal glasses and plates. The drawer is very smooth to open and to hold light weight or paper items. Hope to enjoy it for many years to come, took the hubby over an hour & a half to put this together.

Made several calls on this item to make sure it was what I wanted. Called about measurements as they are not listed in the description. Customer service not very helpful. Waited for this item to be in stock again. Finally got it ordered and shipped. I was given wrong measurements by customer service. Did NOT come up to standard cabinet height. My microwave over powered it. I do not have a big microwave, as it states in description it can hold a pretty big one. Assembly was very difficult as most of the pieces were NOT labeled. Very hard to screw pieces into wood. Took me 6 hours to put this thing together. Side of microwave stand piece had 3 scratches on side. Nice color to it, only positive.I got it together and all I could compare it to was a bookcase/tv stand for a toddler's room. I even considered it for my 2 year old. Not worth a $99.99 plus S&H. I'll never order any furniture from this company again online. Although Kmart was very considerate and quick upon my returning the item.

After looking on line and in stores for a week, I finally settled on this item (Homestyle Buffet with Stainless Steel Top and White Finish) despite its shallow depth. I did not take into account that its relatively low price was due to its extremely rushed original manufacturing. 1) For starters, the sections of the item were packaged before the glue and paint were even dry, to such degree that I had to periodically and carefully remove glued on styrofoam. The instructions were inadequate (basically a few diagrams) but I still figured them out, with considerable frustration and effort. 2) The center piece between the drawers had one of its dowels a quarter inch off, causing me to have to re-drill and install 90 degree brackets and wood glue to compensate. 3) On one drawer piece a knot made it almost impossible to drill a lead hole for a screw. I managed to do it but the manufacturer failed to. The correct procedure would have been to reject the piece and get another. 4) To add insult,...

I am very happy with this product. I ordered this with the matching table set on 6/14 and recieved the cabinet on 6/18. My father helped me put it together and we are pretty handy. So we were surprised that it said 45 minutes and took us much longer. (with two 5 minute breaks) They say do not use power tools, and I wouldn`t suggest it, but my father decided halfway through to try it but used it very lightly and carefully. It made the process much easier and quicker. But I can see how easily it could have split the wood if not done carefully. Once it was all done, it was great. I love it. Like the other review, it is just a dark box, but I have a few ideas to fix that problem so that`s no biggie. (Flameless candles,those cheap round touch lights to put under the shelves) I was worried about storage, but the drawer holds my monthly bills, agenda, 2 local phonebooks (not the huge ones,but still pretty thick) and a stack of 8 CD`s. They say not to display anything on top of the unit, but...

Not bad for the price heavier than expected. Part is solid wood while others is veneered press board. Instructions are easy to follow but say it takes 45 min to assemble, it took me way longer. The main issue is that is needs lighting inside as it is pretty much a dark box inside and difficult to see what is displayed.

This buffet server and hutch are made of good solid pieces, arrived in excellent condition and even had extra screws. The only problem was that the buffet server HAD NO DIRECTIONS enclosed!! Luckily my husband is mechanically inclined and has assembled furniture before. Through previous experience and by looking at the hutch directions we were able to put both pieces together in a couple of hours....

I love this piece of furniture and I am satisfied with my purchase and the price. It fits the space I have in my kitchen quite nicely and it holds all the small appliances I wanted to store in it. I have recieved many compliments on it since I purchased it. One drawback was that I tried to determine if it needed to be assembled prior to making my purchase and I couldnot find anythign that said 'assembly required' or 'no assembly required'. I was not surprised that it needed to be assembled but I really would have appreciated that information when I was making my selection. Also one cabinet door does not always stay shut & it appears to be due to the assembly of the hinge which was done at the factory....

I stumbled across this product in a Sears essentials store and ordered the counter height table and 4 counter height chairs, it was on sale for almost 1/2 the original price. I have not received those items yet, but seperately, I ordered this item, and i love it. I have a small dining room and this is perfect..... very easy to put together, very well packed.... the wood is really good quality for the price and very stylish. I cannnot wait to have the complete set up!!!...
