Not a good microwave. It was expensive and not worth it. I cleaned it with 409 and a small amount must have dripped into the knob control. The key pad now does not work. sence it is older that one year the Sears customer service will not even answer my question when I called. No more Kenmore for me.
...

The GE wall oven is a very efficient oven due to the quick preheat. The design of this oven is a great improvement over other models in the past, the internal coils that will make cleaning a breeze with no hard to reach places on the floor of the oven. The control panel is compact, convenient and easy to use. I feel certain that I will enjoy cooking with this oven for many years in the future.
...

Had a couple weeks now. Very happy! This was a floor model that was discontinued for an updated model that's almost identical so we saved a few extra dollars. The only differences I could tell was the Kenmore Elite badge was updated and the fan and light buttons went from round to square. I love the stainless steel interior and spaciousness inside. The EZ selection knob replaces the traditional numeric keypad and is easy to navigate to additional cooking settings for various food types.I had Sears do the installation since it seemed pretty heavy, so I'm not sure if this was a pain free process.
...

The GE convection oven cooks your food unevenly. The cookies/meat to the back of the oven are burnt. And, the cookies/meat in the front are raw! In addition, the temperature varies up to 40 degrees from what you enter for the temperature. GE replaced the computer panel on the oven once which did not improve the quality of the oven performance. I have to babysit the stove to make sure the food is cooking at the proper temperature using oven thermometers. I would not recommend the GE oven. I called and emailed to discuss the issue with no results. Moreover, I did inform GE that I would be posting this comment. The oven was purchased at a different retailer than Sears, but I do not want anyone else to waster their money on this awful oven.
...

The microwave has been repaired twice before the recall even came out. Again it has stopped working, this time the carousel. Contacted GE about the problems with the microwave, were willing to contribute $600.00 towards a new appliance. Unfortunately you can not just replace the microwave and a whole new appliance is in the 2 thousand dollar range!! This appliance now is only 8 years old and the problems have been starting with the microwave since before the 2 year anniversary of purchase! Tried many times to get GE to contribute more toward this replacement only to be harrassed. Not sure I want to purchase another GE appliance!!
...

I purchased this Kenmore Elite 30 in. Microwave along with a top-of-the-line range and refridgerator on March 31, 2010. First unit was dead on arrival. Tech came out and replaced a part internally. The power supply failed 4 weeks later after very light use. Sears support was excellent. Replacement sent within 24 hours. I've had to take time off work on three occassions to get this right. Also, the exhaust vent cover makes a light flapping noise everytime the wind blows outside. This will annoy you over time. I never had this problem with the previous microwave. Overall, I'd choose a different model if I were you.
...

This is a very well built microwave oven with a built-in microhood. We replaced our 20-year old built-in Kennmore microwave oven with this one. The new oven fit right into the existing cavity above our stove. To our surprise, the new unit has 50% more cooking area and comes with a rotation tray that ensures even cooking of products. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

If you ae planning to install it yourself, be patient and read the instructions very carefully. The templates for installing the unit above a oven are included with the product. The unit is heavy and would require two people to lift it to install above the stove. We would recommend this product without any hesitation.
...

If the hood is vented up though the roof as the man from Longwood said, downdraft can occur from outside down through the vent thereby preventing the hood from removing food smells from the house. Venting to the side of the house or through an eave will prevent downdraft and should make the hood work better....

I have had this unit for about six months. As a microwave oven, it is OK, but if you were expecting the range hood to be useful, you will be greatly disappointed. The air flow is anemic and has little change of keeping cooking odors from staying in the house.

Unfortunately, my wife wanted all of the kitchen appliances to match. If the microwave wasn't part of this, I would have returned it long ago. I am doubly disappointed because I had a hole cut in the roof and a vent installed for a range hood that is just too weak to be useful....

HomeRemodeler says "5 stars" about Sharp 24 in. Microwave Drawer

I have used this microwave drawer now for 2 months and love it. At first glance, the size of the drawer is deceiving, however when I measured microwaveable cookware I use, it all fit easily in the drawer. I would have to say the biggest drawback is waiting for the drawer to open/close. I guess I am just used to opening/closing the door of a standard microwave myself, which is a lot faster! However, the big pluses are NO microwave on my counter top, NO microwave over my stove and the biggest plus are the hot items I remove from the drawer are slightly below me, not above me. Hence saving me from getting burned by spilled items due to clumsiness or just an accident. I will update later if my opinion changes on this product....

My husband and I purchased this microhood appx 3 months ago. We decided to get rid of the on the counter one we had. The stainless color matched our other appliaces perfectly, it works wonders. It is also easy to clean. The two nicest features are the nite lite and the cook button (there are numerous preset items and all you have to do is press the corresponding button to it and hit start). My baked potatoes come out perfect every time. I highly recommend this product to everyone!...

Beautiful, sleek looking microwave. It's significantly more expensive than others but it is worth it. Easy to operate. We strongly recommend the trim kit, too, to ensure a finished, polished look. It's a gorgeous microwave; you might as well do it right. Our only complaint is that the glass tray is just a little too wide to fit in the bottom rack of our dishwasher....
