Purchased the Craftsman 12 amp Electric Blower and Vacuum for a 1/2 acre yard with lots of trees. On the inaugural run, the bag that holds the leaves tore. We were only 15 minutes into the process when it occured. The fabric is very flimsy. Sears, with it's great return policy, took it back. The blower is capable of moving leaves, but the fabric needs to be stronger.
...

ChuckB-1965 says "Plenty of power. No more hassle and smoke with 2-cycle fuel." about Craftsman 32 cc 4-Cycle Backpack Blower

This is my 1st backpack blower and I'm very satisfied with the power and ease to operate. I love that I don't have the hassle to make the 2-cycle fuel mix. And I've had some problems with all my old 2-cycle engine equipment -- oily residue seeping from the exhaust, the carburetors getting gummed up. If I could change one thing on this blower, the angle of the slotted nozzle seems off and I wish it was rotated about 15 deg counterclockwise. Instead, my wrist/hand have to unnecessarily compensate for this....

Already had a leaf blower but wanted one with a vacuum I had surgery on my thumb so couldn't pick up and bag leafs. I checked out several before deciding on this one the ones at ******** and ********** where more expensive and the tube wasn't as big they also had only one speed and didn't have the power as this one. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing one. Besides it a Craftsman so you know your getting good quaility....

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He LOVES it. He was already out using it. He said that it is very powerful and does a great job. The reason for the 4 stars is that he said that bag fill up fast so you need to empty it frequently and it gets heavy after a while. Even with the two small nitches, he can't wait to use it again.
...

What a waste of money. I bought this when it was on sale for 200, thinking I was getting a great deal. When I buy something labeled "Professional" I expect I'm getting something professional-grade. This thing did NOT have the power I was expecting. Hell, it wasn't much strong than the regular hand-held versions. It's good for clearing walkways and driveways, and any light loose bits you have on your lawn. Anything else you may as well forget it. If you have leaves hung up in tall grass, you're better off just raking them out. Acorns, sticks, pine needles, piles of leaves only a foot high? You'll be standing in one spot forever trying to move them.

And despite my diligence in maintanence (oil changes, filter, etc.) this thing failed in less than a year. I took it to the Sears Service Center and they told me it was "premature engine failure". Fortunately I was wise enough to have bought the 3-yr service plan and they replaced it for me at no charge. After...
...

When I got the box, it was beat up pretty bad to the point where there was an impact discoloration mark where you'd "snap" the bag or nozel on. I got basic shipping and it was shipping UPS. ******* UPS. It looked like someone just kicked the box around as a hacky sack. The unit doesn't come in any sort of padding. It's the just the box and tape protecting it all.

For the unit itself, I've never owned a blower...but I have to say for what I was expecting, it exceeded it. Living in AZ, we typically use rock to cover the yards as grass will bake. We have a few trees which drop leaves and apparently, it seemed as though the yard I just blew out, took out leaves that could have been a couple of years old. It was able to juggle the rocks a little, while pushing the underneath out. For the Mulcher - I was able to pick up piles of leaves, while it left the rocks behind...maybe an inch or less. I was still cautious with the rocks as I didn't want to damage the unit, but the...
...

I purchased the Husqvarna 50cc Backpack Blower on Jan 5, 2012. Prior to that I had always used an electric Toro leaf blower/vac. I had owned 2 Toro's dating back almost 12 years and had been satisfied with the results.

Little did I know how much difference the cfm on a unit really makes. Even though the blower output in mph was similar, the volume is not the same. Without a doubt this is the best decision I have made in a long time when purchasing any outdoor lawn and garden equipment.

What used to take 1-2 hrs can easily be done in less than 30 minutes now, and with much better results.

After unpacking the unit and assembly, which took maybe 10 minutes, I filled the tank with the 50:1 mix and on the second pull it started.

I proceeded to try out the new blower and was amazed at the power. Not only did it blow every leaf in site but it also moved small twigs and dog poop.

The backpack unit itself is a little heavier than I would like but it was not uncomfortable. The straps that are attached...
...
