We purchased a block with 7 Henckels Classic knives. The block had the 5" bread knife, but I wanted something more substantial. The 7" knife does the trick. It matches the existing set perfectly and the block had 2 extra slots, so it fits right in. The knife feels well-balanced and has a solid feel. And the price was very good, cheaper than the online sites I visited before making my purchase at Sears.com. I had the knife delivered to a local store - no shipping and handling! It arrived within a week of ordering, which I found totally acceptable.

My husband bought this set for me for christmas and i was so excited to get Gordon Ramsey knife set . Yes they look great and are very sturdy but, they were not very Sharp at All...he had to resharpen them to even get a good edge on them. So needless to say i was not impressed and very disappointed....

I bought these knives for a friend for X-mas as she really wanted some new knives. I bought these as I like the Santuko styling and thought it would be a good buy for her. They aren't super heavy and they have a nice look to them. I'm hoping that the reviews I've read (after the fact!) about them developing rust stains is not a common problem for these knives. That would suck. My neighbor has arthritis so it's important that the knives be able to do their job without a lot of effort on her part. I did also buy (not at KMart they don't offer) a knife sharpener so she can keep the knives nice and sharp....

I bought this as one of my other santuko's kind of went the way of the dodo bird. It was a nice looking knive and so purchased it as I like the Santuko styling. It sliced pretty well, but I have definitely had sharper knives right out of the packaging. It's not the best knife out there, but it will get the job done. I used it to slice Prime Rib last night and did struggle with getting the knive to cut all the way through to the bottom of the roast....

I was very pleased to find a whole knife set at kmart for under 25 bucks. Admittedly a bit skeptical. After unboxing I could be more pleased with the sharpness and quality of these knives. The holder keeps everything organized and compact of my counter too. Cant beat a deal like this.

Not only did these "stainless steel" knives start to rust after 1st wash, but the pairing knife blade has broken off in chunks. Now there's an eraser sized chunk missing out of the center of the blade. I liked the way these looked, and they were given to me as a gift, so I don't have any hard feelings about the price or anything. I just hate that the giver wasted good $ on a set of knives that didn't even last 8 months.

Looks great, handles are comfy and non slip, blades are super sharp! I love this set! BE SURE TO DRY KNIVES COMPLETELY! Otherwise, the block will start to bubble where water has sat on it.

This knife set was purchased for a replacement of an old outdated set. It makes a perfect addition to our counter space with the cherry wood block. We recently used this set for carving our turkey on Thanksgiving and it worked wonderfully. Anything Gordon Ramsay puts his name on is a trusted purchase in my opinon! BTW the comment that it's ONLY 14 pieces...well then buy a bigger set! DUH!

this is a useless knife. it is not sharp and you need to apply a lot of force to cut anything. it is NOT stainless steel and will rust if not washed and dried immediately after use. NOT for dishwasher use
