This is what I've been looking for to put in my kitchen. It is the size that I wanted and it looks great. I like the color. In reading some of the other reviews I found some were having problems finding bags to use. I use 30 gallon trash bags and they work just great.

I originally bought this for my kitchen but it was just a little too small so put it in the bathroom and it's perfect there. Bags are no problem the 13 gallon bag works just fine.

We needed a bigger garbage can at home, we got this one at kmart. However I've checked every store in town and cannot find the right size bags! this is very frustrating, it doesnt make sense to sell a garbage can w/out having the right size bags to go with it at the same store....

This is the best trashcan ever! It works so effortlessly, it is very nice looking, and it locks in the nasty trash smell. We also have a smaller one in our bathroom and I just love them! Should I go on?????

A huge benefit of this trashcan is that my dog (90 pound lab) has not been digging around in either one since we got them! There is nothing worse then garbage strewn all over the floor! She has not accidently tripped the sensor and I believe it is because she can't smell anything in it! I know I can't!!!

Want more? Every single person that comes to my house is fasinated with this thing! lol Where did you get it? How much is it? We are getting one for my sister as a wedding gift because she really wanted this! What a great gift idea!

I love everything about this can and have owned them for about 5 months now. I have not had to change my batteries yet, it still looks great, and works just as good as the day I got them.

We were looking for a nice-looking, large wastebasket for the kitchen in our new home. As the gathering place for family get-togethers, we needed something that would hold a busy home's daily garbage, without looking like an industrial trash can.

This wastebasket is silver-gray slightly resembles and blends well with our stainless steel appliances. It was also available in the store in a metallic taupe color. The high swing cover allows a lot of garbage to be placed in the can. However, the 17-gallon capacity is unusual. Normal tall kitchen garbage bags are 13-gallon, and stretch to the point of tearing when trying to fit it around the top of the can. The next largest size bag that is readily available is a 30-gallon trash bag, which is too big. Internet searches have provided only a very limited selection of 17-20 gallon bags from industrial supply companies.

I purchased the nine stars motion sensor trashcan at the Kmart store for quite less than the price display here but the same nonetheless. It requires 4 D batteries which is installed on the underside of the top. When you put your hand over the sensor part in the front the lid open automatically, however, there is a slight delay. And I find out that you have to move your hand away or the lid will bump into it because practically your hand have to be over the lid more for the sensor to work. Also has button in the front to manually open the lid yoursself and keep it open or close. Basically it is a well made trashcan, the battery life is like almost two months, I still have the first 4 batteries in it and it has been almost 2 months. The sensor part beats using your hand to lift the lid or your foot to step on a trigger especially when your hands are full. This trashcan allows you to use both hands to dump food from your plate for instance. Also the steel silver color matches other kitchen...

The color says tan and the picture shows a gray-tan appearance but the actual color is cream. I could have bought cream at the store and saved shipping and time. I was looking for the darker color. Also, the picture leads you to believe it might sit flush to the wall, the lid opening on the long side of the can. But no, it sits short side against the wall and thus sticks out awkwardly. If you turn it long side against the wall it is awkward to open. Overall very disappointed.

I saw this step can online and instantly fell in love with it. I had been looking everywhere for a nice black trashcan and to my dismay was becoming frustrated. When I came across this one I knew that it what was exactly what I wanted. So I ordered it offline and I love it. The convenient step pedal makes it easy to get things in quickly. The lid also has this amazing hydraulic feature that keeps it from slamming shut. It has a lock to keep my curious two year old daughter from throwing my shoes away and the wheels makes it easy to move throughout the house if need be. But most of all it looks great. I am definitely the talk of my neighborhood. So if you are looking for something nice and functional this is definitely what you are looking for. But don't call it a trash can, because it is definitely so much more than that.

We got the first one that was defective. Then paid the shipping fee to ship back the lid. The 2nd one broken in less than 2 months. The lid got stuck and the trash bag is very hard to be removed. We gave up on this trash can. There are other sensor trash can on the market and I hope they are better quality than this "Auto-Eye" brand.
