bengarland says "Not as good as the old Roebuck work pants!" about Craftsman Twill Workpant

I LOVE the old Roebuck work pants. They were perfect in every way. Unfortunately these new Craftsman brand pants are terrible and NOT a replacement for the Roebucks. The material is not as good, the construction is not as good, and the fit is not as good. Plus they don't have the little watch/coin pocket which was always good to stick a key and a few extra bucks into.

The old Roebuck pants were one-of-a-kind. The material was not too heavy (but still sturdy), they resisted stains, they came out of the dryer wrinkle-free, and they were so nice you could wear them out on a date (as long as they were clean). They also held up well for YEARS. None of this applies to the new Craftsman pants.

SEARS, why did you discontinue the Roebuck pants? They were legendary!
...

BlueCrewGuyInMA says "Another almost perfect product" about Craftsman Thermal Crew

Well, this is almost perfect. These shirts are comfortable, look good, and have Teflon (as do most Craftsman garments) so clean-up is a breeze regardless of how dirty it gets, but they are susceptible to shrinking. If you want this shirt, I strongly recommend buying a size larger to compensate for shrinkage. Before you ask, I washed it in cold water, but thermal fabric just seems to shrink no matter what, which is a shame. If these shirts didn't shrink, they'd easily get 5 stars. However, I must deduct a star.
...

BlueCrewGuyInMA says "Another "almost perfect" product" about Craftsman Flannel Hooded Jacket

I bought my first of two Craftsman hoodie jackets a couple years ago, and got my second a couple months ago. They're very comfortable, durable, and warm despite being very lightweight. These hoodie jackets, like most Craftsman clothing, are infused with Teflon to make clean-up easy with almost no regard for the type of mess you get into. The only downside to this garment is that they are susceptible to shrinking, which is unfortunate because otherwise this would be a perfect product. The price is good, they look good, they're comfortable, they clean up easily, and they're durable. Just the shrink factor makes it 4 instead of 5 stars.
...

BlueCrewGuyInMA says "Almost perfect..." about Craftsman Twill Workpant

I wish I could say these pants are perfect, but they're not. They're darn close, but they do have one weakness. First, though, the good stuff:

Teflon means easy clean-up

Good fit

Durable material

Good-looking

Comfortable

Cell phone pocket is very convenient

Now, the weakness: the fastener. The fastener on these pants tends to wear out and break off. It's unfortunate, because otherwise these pants are completely amazing. Still, a pretty good value for the money. The fastener is the cause for a deducted star.
...

BlueCrewGuyInMA says "Fantastic quality at a great price" about Craftsman Jersey Polo

I bought these shirts based on my experience with the Craftsman khaki work pants I had purchased (I wear these shirts and the work pants as my work uniform at Sears). These shirts are very comfortable, good-looking, and they don't shrink, unlike most polo shirts I've bought in the past. Like most Craftsman clothing, the shirt is infused with Teflon, so it cleans up perfectly without special treatment. I'm about to go get some more because they're on a big sale right now. You can't go wrong with these shirts!
...
