This is by far the best camera I've owned! I have been shooting with Minolta/Sony cameras for 15+ years. I would consider myself an advanced amateur photographer. I decided to make the switch to see if there really was a quality difference with the product. Boy was I WOWed! The images was exceptionally impressive during my test shots even with the kit lens. The camera is loaded with lots of impressive features, which is why I selected this model. Switching from the Sony Alpha to Canon definitely requires a learning curve for me now but its going to be a great adventure. I would definitely recommend this outfit to anyone in the market for a DSLR.

We have been enjoying this camera. The picture quality is clear, the features are easy to learn, use and understand. Great step up to a semi professional camera from using a small hand held camera, all without the exspense of the professional models! I would recomend this camera and very happy with our purchase!

The camera itself is just amazing. The pictures are great, the speed is fast, and the full auto mode makes it better than a point and shoot.

Canon makes some of the best cameras there are. The construction of the camera is solid. The feel is first rate. I’m very pleased.

The only negative was Kmart. I found the camera on line for one price, and saw they had them in stock. I went to get it. I asked for the camera and the gentleman told me it was over $100 more. I wasn’t worried. I told him they have it on-line for less. He said there is a new policy and they are not matching their on-line prices. I was floored.

I pulled out my smartphone, ordered it online, and had to wait till it was pull from the case I was standing by and taken to the back of the store for Customer Pick-up. This all took and additional 45 minutes.

A company that will not match its own on-line pricing is a dead company. People will not shop at a place like this. I certainly will not be buying anything from Kmart anymore....

this is a really awesome camera and you would really love it for phootgraphers cause its pretty complicated for a first time camera user....

I've had my Nikon D5000 for almost 2 years. This is my first SLR camera and it's been a learning experience for me. I bought this camera mainly to get better shots of my son's football games and boy have I captured some priceless football moments. It's fast and with my 300mm lens I can get real close and personal from the stands.

The flash is most definitely only BTN "Better Than Nothing", so don't have high expectations for low light shots. My next photo purchase is going to be a mount flash. I'm sure that will improve things.

I'm an amature, but with alot of trial and error with this camera I have captured many professional looking shots.

I've had this for about 3 weeks now and am totally pleased!

My sister has had a D40 for years and using it was always incredible - !

It seems like a great camera for our home - manual and custom features aren't shrouded behind layers of menus, but point and shoot auto mode is simple for when other members of our home don't want to worry about details.

Some time reading the manual paid off - the "workflow" of this camera feels outstanding.

Low light shots with a tripod have been really exceptional.

Nikon software no better than iPhoto, but better than some stuff - if you're a pc - it may be good.

HDMI connection to tv is WOW!!!

Video is ALSO really great - but I might still need to learn about vdeo focusing... lense noise is present in video, as is true with almost all cameras that also shoot video.

Great camera!

I bought the camera for my husband and he takes pictures of my son and daughter at their sporting events. It can take motion pictures and has sooo many options. It is awesome....
