It goes up easy and works very quite.but unless you have you doctorate in programing. call the help line to program it.If you mess up you might have to unplug and reboot.I realy like it . I have 2 mine and hers.

This remote synced easily with my Craftsman garage door opener. The instructions were easy to read and clear to follow.

This opener works well and is very quiet. I installed it myself in about two hours.

The only issue I have is with the remote controls and the keypad that are included with this model. Looking at the pictures on the box and on the website it looks like the included remotes and keypad are the new models that will control this opener and any other Craftsman opener made since 1993. Unfortunately that is not the case. The remotes and keypad that you get just look like the ones they sell in the store that operate newer an older models. They are actually crippled versions that will only work with new garage doors with a yellow antenna wire. I was hoping to be able to control my older second opener with these remotes, but they are not compatible. The pictures are misleading.

took me 20+ hours to install, because of small structural mods I had to make and because the manual, though carefully written, is lacking certain pieces to make a rounded "understanding" possible. You understand only after you have done it (and redone it).

But having a 25+ old door in a 40+ old garage, I'm glad I got the rolls-rois of quiet and powerful motors. Controller works ok (screw the controller wiring in hard).

My main criticism is the manual, including lack of explanation of diagnostics for each device to assure you that each piece works.

Battery backup works well, even right out of the box. That will be a peace of mind!

I love this Chamberlain Whisper Quiet belt drive garage door opener! You might think that "love" is a pretty strong term for a garage door opener, but after you've lived with a super noisy screw drive one that had numerous issues, including not closing all the way and going back up as you leave the driveway - and then you install this one and find that it works great and is SO quiet - well then you'd understand why I love this one! LOL

Honestly, we are very happy with the way this one operates and would definitely recommend it.

Like the fact that it can handle 2-100 watt light bulbs, gives great light in the garage. Wall mount allows you to turn the lights on and off without opening or closing the door. Sensors turn light on when you enter or leave, great when you are working in the driveway after dark (snow shoveling etc.) Only downside was the installation provided bt Sears. Installation was done poorly causing door cable top the track, door could not close completely due to incorrect installation of connecting bar, and sensors were improperly placed. Had to call someone in to fix. Did complain to Sears, who did address the situation. No complaint with Sears store personell, just parties contracted by Sears to install...

Replaced an older 1/2 HP craftsman opener with this one. Installation was easy, it mounted to the existing ceiling bracket. It is much quieter and faster than the old unit. The only disappointment was my old remotes wouldn't work with the new opener....

I have been using Sears garage door openers for years & have always had good luck with them. I have this model on our double door & it has been working great for over 4 years so I purchased another for the single door of our 3 car garage. I am looking forward to the same good service I have always had with Sears openers.

The opener is very quiet and smooth. There is good range on the remotes. I like the light switch on the control panel. I can turn on the light when I need it, and I can turn it off when its not needed. This belt is much better than my old screw-drive.

The unit has excellent instructions including both illustrations and wording. If you can follow instructions, you will be able to install this. It operates more quietly than my old craftsman chain drive. It works well with my '04 model car's Homelink system. The wall mounted controller is very versatile. I do not like the motion detector feature, so I shut it off. I do like being able to turn the lights on and off at will. It could eliminate the need for a separate ceiling light if you don't already have one. The only problem I encountered was the drive sprocket cover atop the drive unit. It does not have a large enough opening to permit the belt to pass without rubbing when the door goes fully open. Sears is sending a replacement cover which I hope will eliminate this problem....

This unit is by far the best garage door opener we have purchased. In the past we have gone through several different brands and a variety of types from chain, screwdrive, etc. the belt driven is by far the easiest and best on the market....
