I picked up the Craftsman 6 piece tire maintenance kit over the holidays during Craftsman Club sale. This kit is great for the DIYer who likes to rotate their tires or change out the exhaust system. This worked great with the pancake air compressor that Santa brought to me. It has been put to use for a couple of tire rotations and to break some bolts on an exhaust system with ease. The kit comes with the following items:

1/2-inch Impact Wrench

Tire Hose w/Gauge

Blower Nozzle and Quick Release Accessories

The tire gauge is great and using an air compressor to inflate low pressure in large truck tires was a cake job. The 1/2" impact wrench is pretty good. It was use to break lug nuts loose and bolts from an exhaust system with ease of use. As long as you use the air tool oil, as required the impact wrench should be fine for the DIYer. The blower nozzle is nice to have to get all the rust and debris out of the way before working on the underside of an auto. Just remember...

I was looking for a small air tank with hose and I found this one on sale. It is well constructed and not very heavy. I just wish it had a little longer hose, but it works just fine!...

This kit works fine as expected from Craftsman.

The coil hose is a nuisance though. I use the hose that came with my 26 Gallon tank/tool kit instead. Handy for ensuring air pressure is correct in tires and inflating floats and mattresses.

Exactly what I was looking for, and found it at the store.

When they say you get what you pay for, this is what they were talking about.

I covered my immediate needs and gave me ideas about how to accomplish other tasks with these tools.

Might want to consider a left handed air pressure guage that I do not have to read everything upside down.

There was no where on the site or in the store by looking at the packaging that it would need an air compressor that will cost you over $100... and thats on top of the $40 sale rpice of the tool... just to inflate tires and take the nuts off!? outrageous!!! I gave this as a christmas present and had to take it back and return it, let's just said it ruined one person's christmas and I am not happy.

If you are looking for a variety of air tools for tire maintenance, this is a great combination. I have used the connectors, high quality air impact wrench, and tire inflator with built-in gauge. All items work great!

I really liked the idea of the interchangeable parts and actually enjoyed using it while it lasted. If it was made of metal I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, but the plastic could only take 2 weeks on the job,and that was being very careful with it. Bring on a metal version and I will be the first to buy it.

If the air compressor I had purchased included just one more of these, I would not have needed to spend the $7 for these 3 pieces. True, I wish they only sold these individually. But, Sears would have probably charged $4 for just one. I guess someday the other two will come in handy. Otherwise, these studs make changing air tools so much easier. Plus, I don't have to worry about a tool unthreading and forming a leaky connection as a tool moves and twists around on the hose.

Its your typical average impact wrench. Bought it for the low price and it says it can put out 400 ft lbs. It didnt seem like it was packing 400 ft lbs behind it. Cheap tool and not bad for the price though.

You will be happy you picked this up. It works pretty well. It is pretty accurate and saves a lot of time. Fire it up and get to the pressure you need without switching back and forth between the air chuck and pressure guage 20 times. The only problem I ran into iis when I try to use it for anything smaller than a lawnmower tire. This is made for car tire, truck tires, trailer tires, ATV Tires, ect. This doesn't seem to be very applicable for bicycle tires or pumping up footballs or soccer balls.
