Ok, So I brought the saw home openened the box and everything looked like it was there. The assembly is not as hard as others make it sound...in fact the only issue was a manufacturing defect where two welded nuts on the casters were missing and a quick trip to the hardware store fixed this. Once the saw was completed I was able to adjust the trunnions to within .003" in about 10 minutes. The rails for the rip fence took longer to adjust. Hint: when assembling the rails align them to each other and parallel to the cast iron table first, then adjust the stamped steel table wings and true them flat to the table. Love this saw....

I am very very upset with this saw. First off after putting it together I went to put the miter gauge in its holder, and the holder broke. Then when I finally got to use the saw I cut 5 2 x 4 x 8 at 21in. Before I could finish the saw was making a very loud noise, the motor started smoking and throwing sparks. I took it back to sears and instead of giving me a new one or my money back, They told me that some one will have to look at it and I will get a call when there done. So now I have to wait until who knows when before I can finish my project.
...

I purchased this Craftsman saw due to its ability to accept a 6" stack dado set, and the features/price were better than the competition. I have been using this saw to build new cabinet doors, and it has been working great so far. The cuts are accurate and smooth, motor has plenty of power and overall quality is good for a saw in this price range. The sliding table and outfeed support are great features that the competitor store did not have in this price range.

I have used the Dado stack up to 1/2" and the saw performed well....

Good saw for the price. Measuring ruler a little off on the table. Just have to be certain of the blade width and ensure cut is in the right place. Otherwise very smooth quick cut. Vacuum and catch bag works great making clean up a snap!
...

ChairmanDIYer says "This Craftsman Table Saw did the job I needed to get done!" about Craftsman 10&#34 Jobsite Table Saw with Folding Stand (28463)

I am a DIYer and I was in a bind while installing hardwood in my home. I needed a table saw and I did my research on the Internet and went to big box stores. I needed something reasonably price without blowing out my bank account. This table saw seemed to fit my needs and my budget. Once I am done with the florr project, it will probably not be used until spring and since this unit folds down and can store vertically... it was my choice. My biggest quirk was that the installation directions seemed to be out of order. While I thought I was assembling the unit so I could use it, the directions seem to have you install it to store it away. Took me an extra 20 minutes to figure out what I was doing wrong. Other than that, I am completly satisfied with the unit as it is ripping my flooe boards with no problems at all....

I bought this saw many years ago and I wouldn't even consider spending more money for a more expensive one. I took the rubber feet off to make it less sliding on my plywood floor because I don't take it out of the shop anymore. Just put good wood shields on the miter and rip fence and zero all the gauges per instuctions. You can't find a portable with this size table anywhere. It's actually made by Ryobi and It's plenty powerful for anything I ever put through it. i tip upside down once a year or so and clean and lubricate it.
...

Bought mine just after it came out. A little difficult adjusting the trunion, but almost all table saws are like that. Also difficult getting a few of the fence screws in, otherwise an easy assembly.

I didn't expect the blade that it comes with to be great (and it isn't) so I put a decent Freud on it right away for the project I bought it for - making 8' long book racks for the back of my church's pews. I made over 100 yards of 1" tall by 3/8" thick strips of ash wood, and all the 'stand off' pieces as well (inclluding dado work to recess the strips). The saw and fence maintained accuracy throughout this job, and was powerful enough to handle the kiln dried ash easily.
...

I would not recommend this saw. The assembly is a little tricky and the boolet that it comes with isn't very helpfull. When I first opened mine the cast trunion was broken in 2 pieces. The company you call to replace the part is helpfull and have no problems getting you the parts you need sometimes you just have to wait for the part to be shipped from China. Alignment of the blade to the table top is pretty complicated there isn't much play. To get the most out of this saw look into a thin kerf blade.
...

I bought this for my husband who loves doing projects around the house. This machine did not take a lot of room in our garage and it's up for most of the wood jobs needed in our backyard and house. The blade is strong enough to deal with jobs like cutting wood for our new fence our creating planting boxes for our vegetable garden. I am not an expert, but the instructions of use were so easy than even I felt comfortable using it. Great tool!...
