Pro: $79 on sale, 7" blade, easy to set up, relatively quiet

Con: Cheapo plastic used - fence broke the table top guides in 1st use (5 mins), also fence deflects easily making it hard to do a very even straight line. Really messy since water sprays via guard 5' out . Last 1/4" of tile or stone tends to break off even if going very slow.
...

The Evolution Rage saw is everything they claim it is. It doesnt take up as much room as my other miter saws, you dont have to change blades when cutting different materials, and it produces fast and clean cuts. This is truly a valued addition to my shop and would definitely recommend to anyone who works with a variety of different materials in their shop.
...

MustangMichael says "The Craftsman 14" Abrasive Chop Saw with Laser Trac good." about Craftsman 14&#34 Abrasive Chop Saw with Laser Trac (21289)

The Craftsman 14" Abrasive Chop Saw with Laser Trac® (21289) is a good product for the price. That is to say, it is not the most expensive and not a Rolls Royce.

The only cons are,

A floppy blade guard.

Everything else is just fine. Its function is otherwise flawless.

One hint though, before trying to align the laser, unbolt it then bolt it right back in place. Otherwise, you may waste a LOT of time trying to get the alignment right. Apparently, the laser is prone to movement, if bumped, during shipment.

The 15 Amp motor is good enough for hobby use.

The vise with its quick release lock is nice, fast and easy.

Laser is a good feature. You just need to turn it on. I am going to give it power from A/C when I get around to it. (DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU DO NOT KNOW ELECTRONICS. AND DO NOT TRY WIRING IT INTO a/c CURRENT.)

Extension bracket and stop block are nice features.

Cast iron base is also good for preventing the saw from taking little trips on its own.

If you need a chop...
...

The saw came in one day later than the given delivery date and the given tracking number for UPS did not work; however, Sears kept in touch with the handling status. When I opened the box, I was surprised at the ruggedness of the saw; we have one at work that cost twice the money and doesn't perform any better. Another surprise was the extra features and attachments that Sears did not show in their description; it has a piece that slides over the vise that helps hold tubing/pipes in place, it works wonderfully. It also did not describe the extra set of brushes for the motor or the chip collection tray with a small vacuum port attachment. The vise parts are of heavy casting construction and holds the material firmly. A laser guide is lacking and would be nice feature to align your cut; It doesn't seem to be offered as an option.

I would have liked to see better instructions when dealing with stainless steel pipe cutting as it will chip and damage the blade if you try to cut stainless...
...

DYIKansas says "Craftsman 4.6 amp West Tile Saw (22320) makes tiling fun & easy!" about Craftsman 7 In. Wet Saw

This saw is perfect for the weekend/occasional remodeler. It's simple to put together, a snap to use and easy to store. Unless you tile professionally, this is all the saw you'll ever need for your home tiling projects. I have in the past marked my tile pieces and schlepped them back to the store for cutting. However, for my latest project I was using 12" sheets of various sized tiles. This saw make the job so simple and fast, I was sad to see the project come (quickly) to an end. Be sure to use the blade guard. I forgot just once and, after getting showered with dirty water, will never forget again!

Considering the very reasonable price (under $100), you can't rent a wet saw for less. This was money well spent and now I'm looking around the house for my next tiling project so I can use this wet saw again....

MikeDIY says "Bought the MK Diamond BX-4 for my patio project; it works well !" about MK Diamond 1-3/4 hp 14&#34 Wet/Dry Cutting Masonry Saw (BX-4)

I bought the MK Diamond BX-4 for my patio project after renting a wet saw from a contractor supply for a week at $220. The patio was going to take a lot more work so I decided to buy my own saw. Most saws I checked on the internet were well over $1,000, and most places wanted at least $900 for the BX-4, but Sears had it for $799 w/some % off. The saw has a misting/sprayer that works very well and knocks most of the dust down. The mist causes a lot of accumulated wet gunk from the cutting, and you need to hose off the work table often, which makes cleanup at the end of the day a bit easier. I have found the stock blade to work well cutting standard pavers (2 3/8") and 4" thick wall block. Only problem I have experienced is water (from cleaning) collecting in the handle where the on/off switch is located, and causing a short circuit that gave me a slight shock, but did not trip the GFCI. When I unlocked the saw arm and allowed it to go up, the water drained out and the short circuit was...
...

Several reviewers mentioned that this saw had a flimsy fence that broke almost at once. However I so far have not had a problem with this. As long as you make sure the teeth on each end are ingaged it will lock right into place with no problems. I can see how if someone tried to strongarm it it could snap though. We made dozens of adjustment to the fence and had zero problems. I also did not experience the gushing water some said to expect. Turn it on and run it for a few seconds after filling to allow it to shed excess water and after that no problems. You do get a light mist with the guard raised all the way up but nothing of any consequence. I had no problems being able to see my cut. I also did not feel that the motor was underpowered at all. In fact, I was surprised at how quickly it cut. Bear in mind that I was cutting 4x4 and 6x6 ceramic tiles. If I were cutting stone it might have been different. All in all I'm very happy with the saw for the price. We did extensive tiling in...
...
