Just bought this tool today after taking returning a air tool kit. Used the money to buy this Craftsman 3/8 Air Ratchet. This is a very nice tool. The ability to adjust where the air is directed is well designed. This air ratchet has a very nice finish. The plastic trigger is comfortable. Easy to squeeze. Also, most all air tools are loud and make lots of noise. This model has reduced noice. Also, the 2 speeds; HI-LO setting are great as well. You can slowly take a nut or bolt off and when the bolt is loose, you can change to high speed. Excellent air tool. Works well with my 20 Gallon Craftsman Air Compressor as well. This is one tool to have in any air tool arsenol....

The ratchet is a great tool, mind you i used it pretty hard all day long at work, i build buses for a living. and when you are installing parts that have to hold seats and safety restraints in place its nice to know you have a tool that you can count on!

the only down side to this ratchet is that i have had to go back and trade it in twice already since i have originally purchased it. if you forget to oil it one day you might not have a working tool after a while. it also doesnt push out as much torque as the box states.
...

The craftsman professional wratchet wrench is a must have for anyone doing any serious automotive work, it makes the job quicker and easier and can do jobs a regular wratchet can't. If you are a guy like me who doesn't have a car lift, then you know how it is working laying on your back. This tool makes getting those bell housing bolts and other hard to get bolts in an out a sinch. You have to break torque with a wratchet but after that just slip the air wratchet on and hold the trigger, no wratcheting back in forth forever one click at a time. The variable speed trigger is also a nice feature. I would highly recommend it.
...

THE FLORIDA PNEUMATIC 1/4 IN CORDLESS RATCHET WORKS FANTASTIC. IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT AND FAIRLY STRONG. I LOVE THE LED LIGHT. I WORK IN THE AUTOMOTIVE FIELD AND THIS COMES IN HANDY. THE 2 BATTERIES ARE GREAT BUT I WISH THEY WERE LITHIUM ION. THE QUICK CHARGER IS VERY NICE. THE BATTERIES HOLD THEIR CHARGE FOR A LONG TIME.I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS TO ALL THE TECHS AT WORK AND SOME HAVE BORROWED MINE TO CHECK IT OUT.
...

The air ratchet has a extra heavy duty ratchet head design and a variable speed throttle that allows precise control of the speed and power. It also has an insulated "soft touch" grip for maximum comfort. It's maximum torque is 70 ft. lbs. which is good in alot of situations and it only uses 4.5 scfm @ 90 psi. Truly a Professional Tool!
...

The Craftsman 3/8 in. ratchet wrench is outstanding. The air wrench put out 45-ft. lbs. of maximum torque and weighs in at 2.5 lbs. Which is light and and easy to use. The air ratchet can be use in tight spots and fits perfectly in the hand. The best thing about the Craftsman 3/8 in. ratchet is the ergonomic throttle lever. With a simple push just about any bolt will come loose or be tighten. It's just simple and easy to use. In addition, the 3 year warranty that comes with the product is awesome. Craftsman stand behind their products and give their costumers the best affordable tools around.
...

I purchased two of these on May 19 2009. As of this date 1 has completely failed. The motor has froze and will not operate at all. From day one it leaked air, sometimes not work or would not reverse. @nd one is holding it's own. I am a 62 year old that is a hobbist mechanic. Have been using air tools for more than 40 years. It is probably just a fluke that 1 of 2 failed under same conditions. Am taking it baqack for replacement....

When I purchased this pneumatic ratcheting wrench, I was aware that the Sears catalog carried similar competitive products in the same price range from Ingersoll Rand and Chicago Pneumatic that were more powerful. Power is an important criteria to me, but I feel that if I really need more power then I would be more inclined to use a 1/2" wrench instead. My feeling is that there is a definite place in my tool chest for a 3/8" wrench that features superior ergonomics.

I wear gloves for a lot of things, but there are some tasks that are awkward with them, and I prefer not to use them, even though it causes abrasion to my fingertips. I've got an early 90's Craftsman pneumatic 3/8" mini-ratchet that every time I reverse the direction it's hard on the fingertips. I feel the same way about adjusting the power regulator on my Ingersoll Rand Model 231(a), which is why I eventually purchased IR's Titanium model to replace it with. All of the abrasion adds up with various tasks, and when I come inside......
