When our old wall oven went on the blick we first thought of just having it repaired but then I thought I'd price a new one just for kicks & giggles.To my surprise I found the Kenmore self cleaning 30" wall oven 4883 to be just what I wanted, plus it was on sale.

I ordered it over the phone and the lady who helped me was very helpful. She said it would take about 5 to 7 days and it came in just 5 days. I now have my new oven and am cooking more because it is so easy to use & I really love it. Thank youso much from a very satisfied customer.

The Kenmore 30 inch oven is noisy, preheats very slowly, and the temperture is inaccurate. The fan on the oven vibrates and hums throughout the baking process and for 20 minutes after the oven is off. The oven temperature fluctuates wildly during baking, making cake baking impossible. Cakes, pies, and breads are hard on the outside and undercooked inside. If you open the oven the temperature falls 30 or more degrees requiring 20 or more minutes to heat back up. It can take 1 1/2 hours to bake a cake, the texture is all wrong due to the temp. being so off. I do not recommend this oven to anyone. It is JUNK!!! The sears repair man said," It is doing what the engineers designed it to do, but engineers do not cook." Do not waste your money. Kenmore is being made by LG and it is not worth the money. I have shopped at sears for 17 years and always buy my appliances there, this is not worth it. I am thinking of going elsewhere if they do not help me with this piece of JUNK....

Let me preface this by saying that I bought this oven to replace a 15-year-old oven with a worn-out gasket and loose door, so it wouldn't take much to impress me. That said, I wish I would've kept the old oven!

This oven takes FOREVER to preheat! Even my old oven that leaked air, heated up faster than this one. Nothing cooks properly in this oven. I am used to putting muffins in for the minimum time (if they say 14-18 minutes, then 14 minutes would be fine) but in this oven I keep going past 18 minutes, and nothing ever gets brown on top.

When I open the door, there is a huge blast of steam to the face, which I have never experienced with an oven before. I wonder if it being so "steamy" is what is preventing my baked goods from browning! Regardless, I do not like this oven. I have tried adjusting the temp to no avail. Hate it!

I bought this oven on sale for half off. It is awesome. I replaced my Roper oven with this Kenmore product. It was cheaper yet does everything my expensive Roper oven did. Not only was the price great but it works and looks great!!!

We remodeled our kitchen in the summer of 2010 and bought this oven for it's nice appearance. Although it looks nice inside and out I'm not pleased with it for the following reasons. It takes at least 15 minutes to preheat to 375 degrees and longer for higher temperatures. When you turn on the oven a noisy fan runs the entire time the oven is on. When you turn off the oven the noisy fan turns on and off randomly until the whole thing cools down. No matter what rack position, baked goods get dark on the bottom while the tops still need more baking time. I would not recommend this oven to anyone who is actually going to turn it on and use it....

So, I think it was a good idea to get this Laundry Plus and it was great to organize the clothes that you washed and dried.

If I have that Storage Drawer, I will wash my clothes, dry my clothes and organize my clothes in the Kenmore Laundry Plus Storage Drawer Pedestal. Will that work if I organize my shirts, pants, underwears and my socks and my pajamas or robes?

So if your having a hard time organizing your clothes after folding them then don't fool around. Get the Pedestal with Storage Drawer now:)

The oven is so good looking, I hated to put my towel on the bar in front and cover it up. The door being clear glass means that with the light on I can watch what I cook.

We just purchased the 30" Kenmore self-clean electric single wall oven, model 488333, as recommended by our Sears sales rep, to replace our 1950's antiquated Westinghouse unit. This attractive stainless steel oven has many wonderful features: quickly preheats, gets very hot inside, but remains cool to touch on outside, has hidden the previously visible coil, thus reducing likelihood of burning oneself when inserting/removing food, has an easy to learn and use touchpad, easily removes smudges on outside of oven, has large number display for clock and cooktimes/temperatures, and has coated cook racks unlikely to rust. We have only used bake function, but can't wait to use broiler as well. We were fortunate to buy it at 50% off regular price. We highly recommend this model as very efficient, and hope to use it for many years to come! (Our old oven lasted 23 years, needing to replace those nasty "burn-me-now" red coils only twice).

We purchased recently a home with a convection oven. The brand of the oven was one chosen by the builder. This has got to be the noisiest convection oven on the planet. After several months with this oven, I said that enough was enough! We have a house filled with Kenmore appliances all with which I am more than satisfied. So naturally, I purchased my new oven at Sears. It is not a convection oven. It doesn't heat as fast as a convection oven, nor does is it quite as energy efficient as a convection type. However, it is so quiet! It was a trade off: noise level vs efficiency. Do I have any regrets? Absolutely not! I love this oven. If it takes a cake five minutes longer to bake, then so be it. At least the cake baked in heavenly quiet!

The lower heating coil is concealed which makes clean up a breeze. No more having to clean around a heating coil. This oven has great plans for its future and fully intends to be my baking buddy for years to come!

I am very impressed with the oven. Everything from the purchase to having my husband install it.The size is terrific, I will have no problemcooking all that I want.A great feature, that I have never seen before or was even aware of is the burner element on the bottom is covered up, no more burning hands. the racks are porcelain, so no need to remove when self cleaning. I can't be any happier with it.

Kenmore 30 in. Electric Self-Clean Single Wall Oven #4883

I bought and had this Kenmore oven (#4883) professionally installed in Oct. of 2009. I don't use an oven that much, so it wasn't until ten months later that I decided to run the self-cleaning feature. I followed the directions exactly and it worked well. About six hours after the cleaning finished, I popped a lasagna into the oven to cook at 400 degrees. Twenty minutes later, I checked it and the oven was STILL COLD!!! I followed every suggestion in the manual, plus tried a few that I found online, and I could not get this 'nearly-new' oven to heat. At all!

So, no dinner tonight for my family, and I am very angry. This oven is a piece of JUNK!!! Worked ok until I ran the self-cleaning, and now it's dead. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF ***********

At least it's still under the one-year warranty...

Great so far, runs a little high on temp but with more use I can figure it out, love the huge window so you dont have to open door. So far so good, I really like it!
