LiketoCookinKirkland says "Good oven, bad installation" about Electrolux Wall Oven EW30EW65GS4

I bought the double convection wall oven because it seemed to have the most features for the price of anything. I also looked at everything on the market including KitchenAid, Dacor, Wolf, Viking, etc. I love the product but had many issues with the service and support. The first one was damaged by the installers: it had a big dent in the door and dirt and dust inside the glass. And the installers came unprepared -- in a Budget Rent-a-truck and they had to borrow some of my tools. They had to cut a bigger opening in the cabinet because I previously had a microwave / oven combo. The cut was not straight, they had bad tools, no sawhorses (used my garden bench) and were generally unprofessional and unprepared.

Otherwise the oven worked GREAT! Everything I cooked came out perfectly; it was quiet and just a dream to use. The timer is by minutes, not seconds though.

The first repair guy came out, not to fix it, but to look at it (I had to take a day off work) and then he said...
...

I am sorry to include all the maytag wall ovens in this but mine is the 30inches self cleaning maytag single oven it dates since 2003 but after 3 yrs of use it broke down and then in 2006 and 2010 again...the digital controls of the bake and broil are always stopping all of a sudden. The costs of repair are very high 599$ to 600$ for 2 controls.Very sad but true Maytag used to be on top but not anymore.
...

After much research we bought at Sears an Electrolux double oven, EW30EW65GS4. Overall the unit is well built and attractive in our remodeled kitchen. The construction seems more solid than ovens costing $$$ more. The glass doors are the first indication of how strudy the unit seems to be. Doors also stay put where you set them. The overal appearance of the oven is clean and attractive with knobs, dials, and other visual clutter. The "Wave Touch" controls are easy to understand and use. When not in use the panel is black and clean looking. I thought knobs and dials would be easier to use, but a wave of the hand and the controls pop up and you're in business, the "Wave Touch" feature. The double oven comes with 1 sliding rack and 2 full extension rolling racks, all easily adjustable. The rolling racks are great, a must have feature that's not even available on more expensive ovens. We've had the unit for about 9 months and have cooked a variety of items, which includes of course the...
...

Just bought this oven and had it installed. Installation went well and was worth the money. I had an old oven and the gas valve was from 1955 and wouldn't move, so I bought the install. The oven looks nice and has nice features, such as: delayed bake, timed bake, a seperate kitchen timer, broiler and a nice bright oven light with a good size window. The light automatically comes on when the oven door is opened. I have used it every day since I have gotten it and have been pleased. I have roasted and re-heated, but haven't baked yet. This product is very nice for the price and I would buy it again. I haven't found anything to complain about!
...

I am in the second year use of my new Kenmore wall oven, range top and hood. I beam with pride when I go in my kitchen to cook. It looks great and I thoroughly enjoy cooking on it. I didn't think I would like the fact that the oven is digital, but now that I'm used to it I love it. The sales lady was exceptionally nice, polite and very helpful when I purchased my new stove appliances. Only appliances you'll find in my home came from Sears and I am a happy, satisfied customer. I recommend Sears to all my friends, family and co-workers.
...

We bought this oven, after MUCH discussion, reading reviews, agonizing, on-line and in-store shopping, etc. on July 4. There was a problem with Sears finding an installer, so our oven wasn't installed until July 15. But, the installer came when he said he would and did a wonderful job. We have used the oven for two weeks and are more and more pleased with it every day. We are learning how to use more of the features. There have been no baking or cooking mishaps with this oven. My wife really enjoys being in the kitchen and I really enjoy what come out of the Kenmore oven.
...

Sears Kenmore Pro series wall double ovens -- I purchased these double ovens from the Sears Outlet in San Leandro and purchased the extended warranty. When I did the sales rep told me not to worry, if anything was wrong after four service calls Sears would replace them with a new product of equal value. This is not true. I have now had 5 service calls and the ovens don't work and the repair person told me they have replaced everything except the display panel board. The ovens still don't work.

I tried to call the store and was put on hold twice for 10 minutes while I waited for the manager. I hung up and called customer service. I was on hold with them so long they had to shove me off as it was closing time. Finally, a real person got on the line with me and afer 32 minutes she disconnected me. When I tried to call back, I got a recording saying the office hours had passed and I would have to call again another time.

So not only do I have ovens that Sears won't stand beind, they keep...
...

I bought a frigidaire wall oven with touch control four years ago. I oven performed well at first. Then the touch panel went out and the price quoted by the repairman to replace the digital panel almost the price I would have to pay for a new oven. I do not recommend the frigidaire oven. An oven should last more than 4 years with average wear....

I had my wall oven installed for a little over a month when the top oven door fell open ( narrowly missing my head) and would not close. About a month later, my lower over door also would not adequately close. I contacted the company in Dec. 2007and am still waiting, 4 months later, for both oven doors to be fixed. Two different repairmen (under the company warranty) reported that they know little about fixing fridgidaire appliances as the company does not have training sessions (One recommended Whirlpool appliances). One came over several times, however, did not have the tools to take out the oven. I would recommend you ask a repairman for the part numbers you need and call fridgidaire directly to have parts sent directly to you overnight or 2 day mail. (When my repairman ordered it, it took about 3 weeks and they did not send all the parts).
In the limited time that I actually got to use the oven, it seemed to work okay. I did not get a chance to really see the difference with the convection......

Purchased March/April 2007. This beautiful wall oven matches our Frigidaire slide-in electric range/oven. What I love the most is the large viewing window that allows you to see your food clearly; the flat glass door and the seamless control panel that is so easy to clean; the control panel is easy to use; the even cooking temperature. I am very pleased....
