I bought the 12 cup model when it was on sale and it gets a good workout every day. No carafes to break! No spilling when I am still half-asleep and looking for my morning caffeine. I also got the gold forever basket but found that it is not worth the trouble of cleaning. I can buy a tower of paper filters for the same price and easier clean-up....
