Eight pound carbon steel sledghammer with a nice fiberglass handle. It does get heavy after a few swings but like with anything else you get used to it. This is my equalizer. It is great for many uses including demolition to putting up temporary fences. Good price point with a great warranty, guaranteed forever.

We keep ours around for our seasoned fire wood, it makes short work of smaller pieces. My Fiance is about 100 lbs and she can swing this around with the best of them. She loves usung it to make kindling. It is made out of carbon steel with a fiberglass core. Of course it is guaranteed forever so buy it once and never buy it again. Very easy to use but make sure you are wearing proper eye protection. I would also recommended sharpening it a little more before the first use.

If you have to shovel snow in any which way, you need this shovel. Do not waste your time buying shovel after shovel, season after season. Buy this once. Put it away somewhere in the garage or barn when you are done with it for the season. I have had this shover for a few years now, replaced it only once. Thanks to the Craftsman guarantee it was taken care of. 20 inches across, light wieght, very durable. The only drawback, it is not stocked all year. If you need to use the warranty do it while the snow flies. Otherwise you may have to sit on it for awhile. That is the only reason for four stars.

Craftsman Professional 21" Walk Behind Caster Mower is a professional mower without the price. (88776) Twenty-one inch deck, with caster wheels on the front for easy manueverability. Some assembly is required but it is very easy. Very powerful Briggs and Stratton Engine (8.75 Torque), 6 speeds, mulch, bag, electric start, just about everything you need to take care of your lawn with the greatest of ease. The down fall to this mower is that the wingnuts for the front wheels are made out of plastic, so you may want to replace them with metal ones or just be careful. This will not impact the ability to cut. This is a very impressive mower.

The Craftsman Lawn Mower Cover fits like a glove. (33398) It is made out of a nylon material that is mildew and UV resistant for all weather protection. It closes in the back with snap together clip, and is very tight at the bottom for a snug fit. This cover will not blow away during transportation. The cover will also fit most types of Craftsman push mowers, I have two and it will fit them both. Good price point at $24.99, if you purchase a more expensive push mower this is the least you can do to protect your investment over the winter months or during transportation. Also the cover comes with a vented bag for storage when not in use. This is what took me by surprise, the Craftsman logo is not a patch, not a sticker, but it is embroidered on the cover. Overal this is a great value for the price.

Craftsman 13-1/2 in. All Purpose Pry Bar. The pry bar is made of high carbon steel. It is 13-1/2 inches long. Nail puller at both ends which is a nice feature. One end is curved for easy prying capabilities. It is a heavier pry bar, I am not sure of the weight but it feels like it would be 2-4 pounds. This is a necessity for any home owner and or general contractor. It is made in the U.S.A. What I liked about this the best was the price point. Last month (7-2009) and this month (8-2009) is is on sale with the Craftsman Club card for $4.99, regular price $9.99. All you need is to sign up with a phone number!!! Well worth it. This tool is tough and rugged.

Craftsman Compound Action Bypass Loppers are great for a quick snip/trim around your yard and many others. I have a lot of trees, these are great for prunning. They are great if you have to remove overgrown landscape. I also use these to cut up smaller branches for firewood. The handles are made out of carbon steel which is a major plus over any type of wood. The rest is made out of aluminum, which is another plus over steel. The Loppers have a 1 1/2 inch cutting capacity, you can squeeze a little more out of them if need be. The ergonomic handles and rubber handle grips make for a very comfortable fit. Another nice feature that this tool comes with is a plastic cover over the sharp end. Most people would probably throw that out, I held on to mine to use while the loppers are not in use. I picked up a pair 14 gauge steel folding loading ramps. Model number 610.24690. One thousand pound capacity for a single ramp, two thousand pound capacity for using both ramps. They are not the most expensive, also they are not the least expensive. After weeks of widow shopping and homework, because I know my old ones were going to bite the dust, I decided on these for a few reasons. Price, durability, and storage. Excellent price point, heavy metal (not Ozzy), and they fold in half for easy storage. The front page of the manual states that you should wear gloves when working with these, you do not have to, but I would. It makes it a lot easier to work with. The manual also states that you should use cardboard when putting the together, I just put them in the grass and did not have a problem. Assembly took all of twenty minutes, very simple, but you should use the manual as it warns it may take more time to put together. What I like about this style ramp is that it...

Although very expensive if you are going to use once or twice, well worth the money. If you are apart of a landscaping business this is a must have. Please think safety when operating this as it can be very dangerous. I use this rototiller on a constant basis and never had a problem with it. Some times it does seem a bit top heavy when you get going but I have never had it tip on me. It will till a yard. It will till a garden. Yes it will till a flower bed. Craftsman 4-in-1 Screwdriver should come with every tool box purchase. This is simply a must have. I have had mine for over three years now with no problems. The bits might get tight over time but just put some PB Blaster on it and you are good to go for another couple of years. This screw driver is four screwdrivers in one and never leaves my back pocket. Interchangeable double-ended bits: 3/16 in. and 1/4 in. slotted; No. 1 and No. 2 Phillips. Bits are stored in the shaft and total unit only weighs .4 LBS. The only problem that I seem to have is that I do forget a lot that it is in my back pocket. I have ripped a few interiors/chairs in my day with this screwdriver. The way I have seen it is that every person out there will need a screw driver for something in their life time, there is nothing better out there. The Craftsman 12 volt Air Compressor/Inflator, Rechargeable/Cordless, is a must have if you own anything with tires. This unit is light weight, portable, and powerful. This inflator can be run off of a rechargeable battery, household electrical socket, or a vehicle power outlet (12V). It quiet for an aircompressor/inflator. It does not jump all around all over the floor when in use. The nice features include storage for your hose, which is a great length at two feet, storage for the two power supplies, and storage three nozzle adapters which is included with the unit. Another nice feature includes a quick connect/disconnect for the high pressure air hose. There is a built in pressure gauge that is easy to read. My father calls the Craftsman Tractor Steering Knob the suicide knob. I guess that is what people called these things back in the day!!! It is very easy to put on the steering wheel of your tractor/Riding Mower. You only need one hand to steer so you other hand can be free for picking up debris or holding your nice cold beverage!!!! Seriously all you need to install this to any steering wheel is the allen key that is provided. For the price point, around fifteen dollars, it makes a great accessory or gift for any tractor/riding mower owner/fan. If you do decide to have that nice cold beverage make sure you are in the backyard because you can get in some certain trouble if a certain set of uniformed individuals catch you enjoying that nice cold beverage while you are in motion (driving).

I have used many backpack blowers in my time and this Craftsman Professional Blower was quite a surprise. Not heavy at all, and if you adjust your straps and padded shoulder harness properly you will not even realize that this is on your back. Also surprisingly quiet compared to other brands that I have used, with just as much power. This will definitely out perform any electric blower that is out there. 500 CFM. Starts with ease and again surprisingly quiet and light weight. Assembly was a breeze as it was just about assembled from the box, all you have to do really is put the tube together with two clamps. The rest of the tube has a great inter locking system. IF YOU HATE DEALING WITH LEAVES, THIS IS FOR YOU!!!! The other great feature is no mixing of oil and gas. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Model number 316.792020 is quite a pleasant experience in general. Although this is the first 4 cycle line trimmer that I have purchased for home use, I have used numerous brands on the job site. This again was a pleasant surprise from the get go, easy to assemble, it took all about ten minutes. This unit came with two separate heads and to interchange them took some practice but still was easy enough. I especially like the fact that this came with a heavy duty padded strap. I will not lie as there is some weight there but with the strap it is not even noticeable if it is adjusted correctly. What amazed me is how quit this unit is, I just could not believe it. I have a little over a quarter acre with some serious trimming and it took me 20 minutes to accomplish. I have not used the bump head yet but I immediately put the hassle free head on and that is exactly what it is, hassle free. (158.6cc), gasoline capacity is 1 quart, oil capacity is 20 oz. of SAE-30W, with a 9 inch blade, alright!!!!! Definitely powerful, I was able to edge my lawn (which was not bad), the church across the street (which was horribly over grown) in about 15 minutes. It was so easy. This machine is very powerful and not for the timid. It was basically assembled out of the box (be careful not to lose the hair pins for the height adjuster because they are small) so it took literally 2 minutes to set it up and another 2 minutes to add the oil and gas, I was edging in 5 minutes and done with 2 huge sized lawn in 15 minutes. I also have the hand held edger and if I was using that I would still be trying to convince myself to get it out of the garage. This was purchased on sale for $129.99 with the Craftsman club discount. It is huge, and very easy to put together!!! Assembly time was not even 20 minutes. I chose this model for the wheels, power, and over all durability. I liked the fact that all the accessories came with it, and there is a very nice black canvas bag that attaches to the unit to hold all the attachments. The Craftsman 20 gallon wet/dry vac is a necessity for all home owners and will take on any chore, big or small with the greatest of ease. Every attachment has it's place so you will not lose any of them which is a very nice feature. The hose is easily wrapped around the unit so you are not tripping over it, or sticking out in the middle of the walk way. The cord for the Craftsman 20 gallon wet/dry vac has it's own holder also, this makes wrapping the cord easy and again you are not tripping over it. Craftsman tractor bumper, model # 24599, is a simply must have if you own a riding lawn mower. I own a 1992 Craftsman riding lawn mower with a plow attachment on the front. It took me twenty minutes to install and after I was done I literally jumped up and down on it repeatedly with no problems at all. Heavy gauge steel with plastic end caps. The price point is well worth the investment to protect your tractor, $29.99. If you are a Craftsman Club Member you will save even more depending on the promotions at the time. I personally saved an extra $2.00. It does not sound like much, but it adds up over time. Again, this is a must have!!!!

I have received my new Broadcast spreader, model # 846.24321. This is a far superior spreader to the 85 pound one and well worth the extra money. Heavy duty and well built, it even comes with a cover for the hopper. This will come in handy using salt on a winter day. This spreader is not limited to just fertilizer and has multiple uses. The metal gears make a huge difference verses the plastic ones in the cheaper model. Well worth the extra money.

I have been in this store several times, it is very far from my house but I am over there on occasion for business. Everytime I am there, busy or not, I am acknowledged that I am there and someone is helping me within ten minutes. If I am their because of a warranty exchange for Craftsman tools, I am always given a replacement. If they do not have the exact replacement in stock I am given something comparable. They really understand I need my tools that minute because I have work to do and I really appreciate it.

True story. The other day I had to return a heavier item to the Sears Hardware right up the street, two employees were outside smoking a ciggerette, which to me was no big deal. Everyone has thier vices and some times you need a break. I was returning the item as I found a better one over the internet, I am a die-hard fan of Craftsman and Sears. The majority of my tools/equipment are Craftsman and came from Sears. I struggled to unload the item and they just stared at me, I know they saw me because I parked directly in front of them. It was like I did not even exist. I have come to tolerate this type of customer service from this store. I only stop there if I need something quick like a warranty exchange or oil. From my knowledge management keeps changing. I had a problem with this store last season over a tool exchange. They do not stock anything, especially sale items. If I need to look around and do some major shopping I will drive the extra twenty minutes to...
