jphares says "My cat thinks this vac sucks!" about Craftsman 17765

Wow, what a vacuum! Of course, it does what any vacuum should, and it does it well. I have sucked some crazy stuff up with this vacuum. I accidently sucked up my cat's leg. I wasn't looking, and he wasn't afraid. He kept batting at the hose until one time he missed and hit the inside of the hose. It pulled him in up to his shoulder. My wife was working with me when she saw what happened and quickly hit the switch. The cat wasn't hurt, just angry. I've always heard there's nothing faster than a cat's reflex, until I saw what this wet-dry vac could do. Now that I've seen the power, I need to upgrade to a larger capacity.
...

jphares says "Punches through the competition." about Craftsman 14 pc. Punch, Chisel and Lineup Tool Set

Heavy duty tools. Craftsman quality. They do what they are supposed to; with the notable exception of the nailsets. They are the wrong size. The nailset tips are too broad for any finishing nail I have EVER used. I have to turn to my Stanley nailset (puchased before I became a Craftsman man), for any finish nailing. Rediculous. But, I didn't buy this set for the nailsets; I bought it for the chisels and punched. As they go, you can't beat this set. Very strong!
...

jphares says "Hard worker. Great price!" about Craftsman 26 gal. Vertical Compressor

This thing is a beast! I holds pressure and the regulator works well. The motor kicks on quickly when needed. I've had no trouble out of it. Craftsman forever! My only problem is that it is so stinking loud. I know compressors are loud, but this one roars!
...

jphares says "The Mouse has big power on a small scale." about Craftsman Mouse Sander

I got the Mouse three years ago. I've used it to sand the finish off furniture. It's also good for sanding drywall joints. The kit is super extensive. It comes with a lot of sandpaper, bits for precision sanding, and other accessories. My first Mouse quit working after an hour's use, but Sears was awesome and replaced it quickly. The next Mouse has lasted the remaining time. One complaint is that replacement sanding sheets are hard to come by in most grit counts. I also wish the orbit was a bit larger, so the Mouse could sand more per orbit.
...

jphares says "This Craftsman 263 pc. Mechanics Tool Set gets the job done." about Craftsman 263 pc. Mechanics Tool Set

I've had this set for about two years. I use it for working on the cars and around the house. Very tough and durable. There are plenty more wrenches and sockets than I need, so I have never crossed a nut or bolt I couldn't wrench. The allen keys are nice as well. I have only two complaints. The first, the finish on five or six of the sockets was peeling when I got the set. Though, it seems only cosmetic because performance and durability haven't been compromised. The second, the socket storage draws don't fit in my Craftsman tool chest. It's a minor detail, but I have to stack them. Overall, this is a great set.
...
