This is a great starter set for parents. Plenty of bottles and the storage caps are wonderful for travel or freezing. Plus, the pacifier is a nice addition....

I used these bottles for my first son, but switched to the Gerber ComfortHold when my second son came along.
With the Avents, I liked the shape and size, and the nipple seemed agreeable to my son, but I had so much trouble with them leaking. They are persnickety. If you put the lid on too loose, they leak; if you put them on too tight, they leak. You have to be careful to tighten them just right. Annoying! I'd recommend the Gerbers - they rock....

I breastfeed my baby and needed to put her on the bottle before I went back to work and I tried several different kinds that i had gotten as gifts for my shower and she wouldn't take to any of them, and most were geared towards breastfed babies. These were the only bottles she would take!! They work perfect for breastfed babies just using the newborn nipples....

Avent are the only bottles my breastfed baby will take. When trying to "teach" a breast baby to take bottles make sure you use the #1 nipple, this makes them "work for the milk" more like breastfeeding. I also recommend making the contents nice and warm. The large bottles are easy to hold, clean and fill. Love these bottles!...

These are my favorite bottles. I received several different brands as gifts, but these are the easiest to clean since they are wide. They fit in a low clearance microwave for heating too. They are a bit tight in some bottle pockets though, but that's the only drawback. The silicone nipples hold up forever and the shape is very pleasing to the baby; especially for a breast baby....

As a mom of two I have tried every bottle out there but nothing comes close to the Avent. It is the perfect shape and size for little hands, has a wide mouth for easy cleaning, and reduces air bubbles (that was a great help with my colicky son!). The suction cap is also great- no spills and I never even had to use the discs....

I liked my Avent bottles that I registered for. They seemed good quality and weren't any more expensive than the other top brands. But... my daughter, who nursed most of the time, couldn't drink well out of them. The nipple shape was too wide and she got milk everywhere. So... my advice is to get one pack and see how your baby takes to them first before buying more....
