As long as you follow the safety instructions, this product is great. You can't blame the company when you don;'t follow the safety warnings. You could trip over a rock on the road and fall and can you blame the city for that? It's a great product as long as it's properly used. We loved it.

I love the bumbo...when she was first learning how to sit up on her own it was great!! but as soon as my daughter was about 5 months she could tip her self over in it and that was frustrating!! I would definately buy it again though!...

This is a seat that will make feeding time much easier when the child is very young and cannot sit up by himself. There are no straps to the chair, however, so you definitely need to be nearby to make sure it doesn't get knocked over. My daughter won't sit in it anymore, at 8 months, but it was good while it lasted.

These are great for helping a little one sit up. Be careful not to put in a counter or high place!! They can wiggle out of these, my baby has (on the floor).

The bumbo seat was nice to have when my daughter was first learning to sit because she could interact with toys and us in an upright position and work on her head control. We still use it now that she can sit on her own to play and eat sometimes. We have the tray which is a nice accessory. It is also lightweight and easy to move around the house. More portable than a bouncy seat.

The bumbo baby seat has served its purpose with my six month old baby. She often wants to be seated and this seat helps provide support. I often seat my baby in this while I am cooking as she likes to watch me. I also feed her while she is seated here. she appears to be quite comfortable in it. I like the fact that a tray can be attached so that I can place her rattles and toys on for her to engage in play.

I bought my Bumbo when my son was 5 months old. He was able to use it right away and it aided him in sitting up without my support. He was able to sit securely and safely without worry!! I use it when I need him to stay put near me and he is still able to reach his toys and I use it as a bath tub seat too!! Where was this when my girl was little? LOVE my Bumbo!!

The Bumbo seat is amazing! I put my daughter in it from about 6 weeks until about 6 months. I could prop her in it on the counter (even though that is risky! She was in the middle of the counter and not going anywhere! I was watching!) and could drink my coffee or eat breakfast. I got the tray, too, and she loved to play with her toys while in the Bumbo. Highly recommended!

I thought the Bumbo helped her sit up well and helped her develop muscles to sit on her own at a young age. I used it while putting on my make up in the morning on the bathroom counter and on the floor playing peek a boo with her. I never left her unattended and surly not on a counter-top. It seemed to hold her well and tight but I am safety minded and babies can do things not expected and do them suddenly so I wouldn't leave her elevated unattended in any seat. I also used it as a feeding seat when we traveled and she was eating baby foods and soft chew foods like fries. I could carry it into the food establishment and wipe it clean after but the big perk was I didn't have to hold her and try eat and feed her or worry about the high chair not being clean and her being to small for that style highchair.

We bought the Bumbo seat at a yard sale for my second child. We sat her in it long before she was sitting on her own. I loved that she could go wherever I went in the house. I loved that she could join us at the dinner table (sitting ON the table) and she seems to enjoy it for short periods of time. But...

There are some major problems with this seat.

1. For the "assisted sitter" (child who can't sit on their own) the bumbo seat sits the child straight up with no head/neck support. My 4 month old daughter slouched in the seat in the most uncomfortable way. Although she held her head up beautifully, the positioning of this chair wound up pitching her head forward.

2. Because of the upright positioning, it's not the most ideal chair for feeding an infant. I often had to tilt my daughters head back in order to spoon in her cereal. Else her chin was tilted toward her chest. Thus, another feeding option (high chair, bouncy seat) is required.

The Bumbo Baby Chair, although rather expensive for a hunk of molded plastic, is an item I would recommend that new parents pass on, it is designed to help children sit, but my daughter wanted out of it no sooner than we put her in it, she was much more comfortable and much happier in a standard high chair, there was more tray space (the tray you have to purchase extra with the bumbo seat) and she seemed to be a lot more comfy in the padded high chair seat, plus she got to sit at the table with us which she loved, where as the bumbo seat is kind of limited to where you can set it, if you set it on a high surface such as a table, you can't really walk away from it and there is a chance the baby could wiggle out of it (my daughter did multiple times) and fall, and if you set it on the floor it doesn't really provide a lot of chances for interaction during meals. I recommend that you do not purchase the bumbo and just spend the little bit extra and invest in a high chair. They can be used......

I really like the Bumbo. I am a first-time parent and need all the help I can get and the Bumbo delivers! I purchased it when my son was 5 months old. It really is handy when we are visiting family. He has his own seat and loves seating like a big boy! It doesn't take a lot of room and I can wipe it clean very easily.

We loved the Bumbo! My daughter is very aware of her surroundings, and in the begining wanted to be a part of everything. The Bumbo was great because she was able to sit up "on her own" in the Bumbo. This is not a seat for infants who are able to sit on there own, but a seat for those on their way! This is now my favorite gift to give the expecting Mom.
