I love to take photos.....about a few hundred a day :) and I wanted to start a small photography business so I looked into this camera. I decided to buy it after many reviews and seeing photos from people who used this camera. It took me just a week to learn how to use most features and was very easy to use. I'm very satisfied with the photos I've taken and it's a great camera for beginners. The battery rarely needs to be charged because it has a such a long battery life and when it does need to be charged it only takes 2 hours. The zoom doesn't go very far when it comes to long distances but all you'd need to do is buy a different lens. I use the lens the camera already had and is good at zooming into objects and people that you are right next to. Later I hope to get the canon eos T2i because it has a much better professional photo quality than this one. Also I just can't catch action photos because I haven't quite mastered that feature just yet but I'm working on it :P This camera...

I have found this camera very easy to use. It is a great entry level DSLR with results that are better than entry level. There are plenty of options to get professional results and I have used this on my family and for a wedding for a friend. The quality is great and I am pleased with my purchase.

I spent several weeks reviewing the REBEL XS vs it's many 10 MP adversaries, I even checked it against the ultra zooms as I wanted the convenience of video as well, but too many good things stood out with this camera and so I decided upon it. I bought the rebel XS and after days of dirt testing this camera I've found it a beautiful experience.

im that type of person that wake up taking pictures till i go back to sleep. and only the cannon 10.1mp digital camera works for me.it takes long time for the bettery to dye.the cannon 10.1mp takes peferct pictures of people, nature, etc.if you want to be a fotographer one day you should buy that camera it helps you throught your carrier and life.

When I bought my camera on sale and buy it buy the macro lens and a 16G memory card. It was a very good investment. Quality photos. I can capture every special moment for my family and every spectacular scenery of my beautiful island. And you have to be a professional, because it brings you an instruction manual in English and Spanish. If you have the opportunity to buy it and you will not regret it. indoor and outdoor photos in motion. And if you have the opportunity to buy on sale and with 12 or more months without paying interest, better still because you can pay early and pay only for the goods and not pay more interest.

This is a perfect starter camera for someone looking to dive into the SLR world. Canon's lenses tend to be a little cheaper than Nikon's and the camera has a built in auto focus motor which is so nice to have when you want to upgrade to a fixed length lens. A great choice for someone wanting to learn the ropes.

This camera can do everything I need. I never thought I would own such a piece of equipment. This digital camera is the best on the market. The lense that comes with it can zoom but the optional lens I purchase is even better bringing everything close and sharp when zooming in.

The camera is very easy to understand and use after reading the instructions. The instruction booklet does a great job explaining everything about the camera. The automatic settings are amazing as well as manual using any setting I desire. The first few pictures taken have already been transferred to a laptop computer and the are crisp and clear and easy to view. I cannot wait to start my new hobby with this photographic wonder, especially the outdoor scenery.

I have this camera and it is wonderful but only if you plan to stay an amatuer. The Rebel XSI takes EFS mount only lenses. So if you plan is to use this to go professional then expect to buying another camera in the future and don't waste $1500 on a 400MM lens or bigger because you won't get the full benefit.

I was told when I boght this camera that I could go all the way and take it to the proffesional level and that is just not true. For example, I did spend $1400+ on a 400MM lens only to find that the Rebel will never allow this lens to reach it's full capability. The Rebel does what is called 'internal cropping'. Basically that means the power and distance the 400mm lens is capable of shooting is cut down in size internally by the camera. At 10.1 pixels it simply is not capable of processing the 400mm full open.

I learned all of this the hard way. I now have about $3000 worth of camera equipment and the most expensive lens I own is useless. You won't be getting those telephoto shots...
