Lostncorn says "Terrible Customer Service - No Satisfaction Guarantee" about Central Heating & Cooling Services

I had a Sears Home Improvement representative verify the size of a new Carrier central air conditioner and arranged for it to be installed. Since the first month, the unit has not worked reliably for more than a few weeks at a time. i've had service calls averaging almost one a month every month the unit has been needing to operate. 3 days after the warranty period, any support to correct the problem disappeared, unless I am willing to pay them. I asked for a new unit during the warranty period, but was refused. Bottom line, the unit has not worked right since installation and Sears takes no ownership on making it right. Satisfaction Guarantee? I think they mean their satisfaction is guaranteed on having my money but not providing a reliable product.
...

coolsleepin says "New Kenmore boiler" about Central Heating & Cooling Services

We bought a new Kenmore boiler and had it installed late last fall. After having some basement flooding and going down the path of "should we spend $1,500 and still not have a working boiler" with a local service guy, we called Sears.

The Sears representative came out the day after our call and spent an hour with us to learn more about what the current system did (or more frequently - didn't) do well. After looking at the options, we went with the Kenmore.

Price installed was very competitive - and better yet, Sears was able to install within 2 days of our order (it was about to get really cold, so this was good).

The new boiler costs less to run and actually keeps the house warmer compared to the old boiler. This is the first house we've had with radiant heat - absolutely LOVE IT! So cozy and warm during the cold months....
