I originally purchased this for me and my husband to taking camping with us. We

loved it so much, we purchased another for a Christmas present for a friend.

We love that the 4 sides come off to use individually, so 4 people can use the

same lantern!

I purchased this lantern last summer and it was the hit of our camping experience!! Everyone wanted to know where to get one. When I got home I ordered 3 more for this summers camping. I love how you can take the 4 sides off and use them to walk in the woods or go to the restroom with. Very bright led lights and uses 8 D batteries which lasted for 3 weeks till I took them out. They still have some use in them too! As for the guy that says it uses up batteries, he bought it for the wrong reason! I love this Lantern and cant wait to use it again!

Despite the cool features, this lantern has a serious problem. If you want to keep it for emergency use, it must be stored with the D cell batteries always loaded! Otherwise, the panel batteries will never be charged when you want to use it. And long term storage with batteries loaded means that sooner or later one will leak....
