Bought this saw a few months ago and finally got to use it a couple of weeks ago at my home. I had 7 cedar boards to cut and by time I got to the 7th the saw died on me. This is two saws in 2 weeks. Both are supposed to be professional quality with this one being "contractor " grade. What a huge disappointment.... Make sure you buy extended warrantys folks. You are going to need it...
...

Great Saw! Runs quiet and strong.Only problem is it will not hold zero. I looked inside and beleive the guide rod is not poperly installed as its bushing moves back and forth rather than being screwed to the cabinet as the floor model.Good thing I got the in home repair. The fence is ok but seems to be off a 1/4 inch when making wide rips.No big deal i always measure against it anyway. For the money spent and the perfomance its a no brainer.
...

I have owned my Craftsman 10" tablesaw for two and a half years. This saw is very stable, the rip fence is accurate and the blade is easy to square. I am very impressed with how strong the motor is, which makes ripping and crosscutting large panels much easier to accomplish....

I owned and have used this saw for over a year. It is fantastic. The motor never bogs down, the fence stays true, and the dust collection is great. No more sawdust all over the shop. I have never had to adjust the table after the initial setup. I have made several types of furniture and it has never failed me....

This is an excellent table saw and has held up to the Craftsman name! The 10" blade is easily replaced , and can cut most anything needed for home repair. It's easy to move around the garage with the wheel base attachment, making it easier to get to the job. Portable enough not to take up too much space, but sturdy enough for the big jobs too. The safety cover for the blade when cutting is a great help that makes it safe enough for the wife to use. We were able to put up our garage with it....

I have bought this table saw to replace an older Craftsman model. I have been very pleased with the overall features. It is very reliable, and has performed as expected. I did not use the fence that comes with it due to the fact that the table saw is attached to and 8'x4' wooden table to provide much better support to cut big pieces.
No doubt in my mind that the Craftsman tools are built with good quality and are very afordable....

Purchased this recently. Love the stability of the unit. With the motor mounted inside the cabinet there is hardly any vibration. The saw really purrs. This table saw is extremely sturdy in its construction. The fence system is extremely accurate. When I set a distance and cut, the result is is probably less than 1/32" from being right on. Fence locks totally parallel to the blade. It's also very easy to add homemade jigs to the fence. Im very happy with the saw and found it a good value....

Purchased the last display (or in stock) model after calling on 10 different Sears stores within 150 miles of home. Got a great deal as they took an extra 10% off for a few minor parts missing (which I received four days later in the mail). I did not want to pay the overwieght delivery charge so it was worth the effort.

I had an older Craftsman contractor saw that was very good to me but wanted a bigger motor and dust collection. Though this model doesn't have a dust collection port, dust collection was solved by building a mobile base, adding a 52" Biesemeyer fence and router table at the other end, both tolls with dust collection ports. I knew I would be building an extension table for the fence so the steel wing extensions were of no consequence to me.

So far, the saw has performed to expectations. The only reason durablility and reliability are not rated 5 is lack of enough time spent using the saw (3 weeks ownership).

I spent a lot of time getting info off the Internet - saw......

Stanton says "Fantastic for the novice or better" about Craftsman 10 in. Table Saw

I am a novice woodworker. From this standpoint this a fantastic saw. The absolute best thing about this saw is the CABINET MOUNTED TRUNION. Blade adjustments are very easy. No way will I ever again have a table mounted trunion setup. This alone makes this saw better than all other similar saws.

I already own a good aftermarket saw fence (Incra TS) and cast iron router table attachment (BenchDog ProMAX), so I didn't need the higher end hybrid saws (152.221140 and 152.221240) offered by Sears.

From Sears Parts I ordered the dust collection pan for saw 152.221140 and added it to my saw. About $70 delivered to my door.

All in all a great improvement over my old Sears contractor saw.
1) cabinet mounted trunion
2) t-slot miter grooves
3) dust collection (extra cost)
4) vastly stronger cabinet
5) nice on-off switch

I highly recommend to all novice woodworkers and even more skilled ones....
