After faithfull service my 1970 craftsman shop vac died with a motor burning up. Purchased this new model and was a little coscerned about the amount of suction till I found much was lost where the top motor section sets onto the drum. I fashioned a gasket from door and window weather stripping and am now a very a=happy camper. Works great in my wood and glass shop. I would purchase another one .. I...

As much as I hate to admit, I needed the Shop vac one particular night and it truly saved my life. I went in to run my bath when I decided to sit on the bed, then I laid down when I woke up I heard the sloshing of my carpet. DId I do that??? I am never going to hear the end of this. When I remembered, We have a shop vac, this will work, all I had to do was sneak it out of the work shop and into the bathroom without any questions. I distracted my husband and rushed the shop vac into the bathroom. OK , it's working, it's picking the water up, it's sucking it up, HOORAY!!!! It works. In no time at all I sucked the water out of the carpet, actually it seemed to have cleaned my carpet. When my husband asked me what I was doing, I told him the toilet backed up and I was trying to clean it up before he came in. KUDOOS Craftsman Wet/Dry you saved my life.

First, I thought it would be very loud, so I had hearing protection ready - but you can hear conversation over it. It's quieter than our home vacuum. Next, I was surprised at the suction - maybe I shouldn't have been - it says it develops 5 hp - but it picks up everything. To impress my wife, I picked up some bricks and moved them. She was unimpressed with me, although she was impressed with the vacuum. Finally, she took it away from me, called me a menace, and said from now on, she'd do the vacuuming. Objective achieved!

I purchased the vac to help me keep my Deck and porch clean from leaf and acorn shells. It actually works better than a leaf blower I was using because it doesnt just push the stuff around and blow dirt up in the air to make a bigger mess. It actually removes stuff between the deck boards where the blower just embedded them deeeper. It cleans up a big area in just a few minutes that used to take me at least 45 minutes to try and sweep or leaf blow away stuff and makes it cleaner, especially after the squirrels break open and drop acorn shell husks onto the deck which used to get embedded in between the boards. Need better way to store hose on outside of unit, but this shouldn't be a deal breaker, because you can store it inside the unit when not using. Highly recommend it for the big jobs....

My new Craftsman 12-gal Wet/Dry Vac is much quieter and far more powerful than my old shop vac. The large diameter hose nearly eliminates any opportunity for clogging. The smaller 12-gallon canister makes it easier to store compared to the much larger 16-gallon canister. I have never needed a 16-gallon capacity for any project. The large single handle on the backside of the top piece makes it easy to carry the entire shop vac with just one hand. This is the best shop vac I've ever owned or used....

We had to replace our old Craftsman 8-gal Wet/Dry Vac which we've had for over 20+ years and choose the Craftsman 12-gal Wet/Dry Vac for the width and height besides all the great features. It is easier for us to store now due to the height difference. Dependability of this brand is another thumbs up....

I was lookinfg for a powerful wet/dry vac for my patios and was highly impressed when I bought this. I always trust the Crafstman brand and once again they proved me right. This is a very powerful yet lightweight vac and has many onboard tools. My only complaint is the the hose broke in only two weeks.

Just bought this over the weekend. My smaller Shop-Vac croaked and my car was nasty. Did great job of cleaning the car and mats. Plenty powerfull and like that you can use it to blow with. Swept the carport in a jiffy. Also like that it shouldn't be real easy to tip over as my old one was. Oh also like that it has a drain at the bottom so you don't have to take it apart to empy liquids.

This Wet/Dry Vac is AWESOME! I use a 16 gal model at work and love it, because of the deep canister and manoeuvrability. So when I went to purchase one I was set on a 16 Gal but the price set me back a little. My wife suggested this smaller one and I was a bit standoffish but after getting it home and using it for the first time this VAC is a workhorse! I cleaned up everything from sawdust to mulch to plastic shopping bags, Yes I said PLASTIC SHOPPING BAGS! Even after picking all of this stuff up it still had amazing suction!

The filter is so easy to remove and replace. This model doesn't have a screw and cap plate as seen with other models, the filter is held in place on its own. You pull the filter off (it seems to give a "pop" when you do to remove it from the hold pin) and pushes back on with ease giving that same "pop" to let you know it was locked on. The hose is a large diameter so virtually nothing is "too large" for this to pick up. This model is also compact enough to fit under...

The Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac has been an absolute work horse for us. It has sucked better than any other vacuum that we have ever owned. The work it has done for us cannot compare to any other. It has been that good. As soon as you turn it on you can hear and feel the power in the Vac. The multiple accessories make it a priceless tool. It can be used for either the common household or auto or boat or even the in my business as a construction worker. It has been such a blessing to us that we actually bought a second one so that we always have one readily available. My father also loves the Wet/Dry Vac and often borrows ours. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who gets water in their basement or even the smallest jobs. My only regret about this Vac is that the cartridge filters are so expensive to replace. I often request them for a Christmas present. But, everything else has been absolutely fantastic.
