does not trim up to 1/2 inch branches. It locks up on much smaller branches. Could be that the battery was not strong enough but I did charge before first use like instructed to. I couldnt even finish one hedge before the battery went dead. I am hoping that with further charges the trimmer will last longer, if not I will return. 2 minutes is not an acceptable time for the battery to die My hedge was a 3 foot by 3 foot hedge but I thought it could at least do that hedge and one smaller one.

will give a better review if conditions improve.

The manual says it will cut branches up to 1/2" in diameter, but this is not the case. Branches over 1/4" will stop the blades causing a loud high pitched whine to emanate from the motor. While it is much more convenient than having to use a cord and requires less maintenance than a gasoline engine, you do sacrifice some power, so it's only for light duty trimming....

Once again this battery operated Hedge Trimmer is a great yard tool to have ,No messing around with Extention cords to cut in two and no messing around with gas( at 5.00 a gallon any way) This hedge Trimmer is so easy to use and with its 180 degree revolving handle makes it feel like your Edward Scissorhands out there sculpting your Landscaping for a lawn and garden show.....
