Got this monster when Sears had them on sale. Used for general clean up around the garage and odd places a regular vacuum isn't suited for. It is powerfull! Amazed what it picks up and had to exercise some caution when using it as it will suck almost anything that fits through the 2.5 inch hose. The car cleaning accessory kit is nice and does a good job on the car getting all that stuff that ends up in the carpets. Every bit as good as the car wash models. It is probably a lot more vac than I needed but if you can get one at the bargain price why Not. Overall a good performer and has plenty of attachments and filter types available if you need them....at an extra cost. I'm happy with mine and find it really great at cleaning out those heppa filters they put on everything you push air through. Cleans those filters as good as new and can save you some money by not replacing them all the time. If you need a wet-vac it is worth looking at....

I've had and used my Craftsman 20 gallon vacuum for over 17 years. Its first job was to extract water from our house carpet and pad when a water bed leaked. It paid for itself in saving the money to have an extraction or carpet company come clean up. It easily sucks water out of carpet and pad, cleans construction litter, and has done many other wet and dry vacuum and blowing operations in my home, electrical, remodeling. and landscaping jobs. I have even used it to suck water out of plumbing ditches. I have loaned it to my friends.

It sucks. It blows. It's a great value and asset.It is easily equal or superior to several "trade name" vacuums that sell for much more and/or have less power and fewer accessories.

I highly recommend getting a high quality wet/dry filter because you can use a water hose to clean the wet/dry filter more quickly and thoroughly than knocking or blowing the dirt off. I have also used a vacuum bag cover the filter to keep trash out of the crevices...

I decided to purchase this vacuum as I had a big project of re-finishing my hardwood floors. Its powerful suction picked up all the dust left from the sanding process very efficiently.

It has a big On/Off button conveniently located and for the features and attachments offered this was a great buy for $90 including tax.

Also, I ordered this online (used $5 off coupon) and picked up in store which was a great experience!

I had this monster assembled and ready to go within 5 minutes of opening the box! It's not very quiet - but then again, I'm using it in a 10'X14' metal garden shed that serves as my 'shop annex' - under normal circumstances, it's probably not bad for a large-capacity vac. I really like the diffuser that clips onto the exhaust port - without it, I'd probably have to nail down half the things sitting around the shop!

It will pick up anything I'm ever likely to throw at it - but I can only rate the '-Dry' part for now, having not had a need for the 'Wet' yet. With any luck, it will be every bit as proficient at liquid jobs as it is at solid (well - as much as sawdust can be termed a solid...) pickup chores.

I did take some time after my first 'test drive' to put some 2" long drywall screws with 1/4" I.D. washers up through the 'feet' that hold the casters and into the body of the vac itself. There was a provision for them aleady - no drilling was required. No real need to do that, but I'm...

My husband and I are remodeling our bathroom and we removed a complete tub and shower unit and replaced it with a stand-alone tub and tiled the walls. As you may already know, this was a complete tear-out job. We had the Shop Vac wet-dry vacuum, but its suction power was not where we thought it should be. So we went online viewing comments made by others on different wet-dry vacuums. This one had the most positive reviews, so we took a gamble and made the purchase. I was so glad we did! It sucked in the joint compound dust with ease and without diffusing it back into the bathroom. It turn, it required less mopping after use.

This wet/dry vac is the largest, most powerful, and also the best I've ever owned...to date. It's powerful enough to tackle any job I've thrown at it so far. This thing picks-up pine needles, small rocks, screws, nuts and bolts, nails, small scrap pieces of wood, etc. with ease and the exhaust feature works great when cleaning (blowing-out) the dead bugs out of my outdoor 'bug zapper', cleaning-out the debris from my rain gutters, as well as cleaning-off my patio deck. In addition, I also purchased the gutter cleaning kit, as well as the available/optional 2.5" hose grip which makes these tasks an even easier ordeal to contend with. Although it's a bit bulky and does require a fair amount of storage room, the filters, refuse bag, and the available accessories also makes this thing one of the most valuable Craftsman tools in my arsenal...cheers....

This Vac has great suction, it will pull just about anything up the hose and not clog. I haven't had it clog once in the last 2 years yet! I'm a woodworker and I generate massive amounts of sawdust and cunks of wood and this thing will take it all. I bought 2 of them in place of a central vac system for my wood shop. This is our 3rd Craftsman Vac and they have all worked well. Replacing one we lost in our business fire. Have never had a problem with any of the 3 and we use them every day. Hold up very well.

Bought this vac to use for clean-up during a major home remodel. It stays in the middle of the mess and used several times a day. I like it's large cap. and lock on hose. The bag option is a plus but I found out that fine dust (from old plaster walls) will go through the bag and coat the inside of the drum. I don't use the exhaust airflow diffuser, I thank any air flow restriction would cut down it's suction power. So far so good. Power is OK (everyone wants mooooore power) all vacs are loud that is to be expected. It's a good quality unit, works well and has a fair price.

I purchased this product for outdoor use (garage and property). I chose to spend the few extra dollars to get the more powerful 6.5 peak hp model because I'd rather have too much power than not enough. I could not be happier with my purchase.

First to my review of purchasing the product through Sears:
I purchased this product online for in-store pick-up. This was my first experience with Sears in-store pick-up and I will certainly use it again. I arrived on the pick-up day to my local Sears location and found that there was ample reserved parking exclusively for Sears in-store pick-up customers only, and it wasn't 'relatively close' parking like some of those other in-store pick-up stores out there, this was as close to the door as you can get, equal to the distance of handicapped parking. I walked in through the sliding glass doors and immediately saw guidance and signage for the kiosk where I check-in for my purchase. The kiosk was extremely easy to use and quick. Great for everyday use, lots of power!! It is a little cumbersome to move around, a smaller vacuum would have served my purpose better. But certainly, vacuums very well and I love all the attachments!! Makes it very versatile. Well worth the money, and with the Craftsman reputation behind it, how can you go wrong?

I use this vac at my auto sales business to have cars detailed before offering them for sale. Its long lasting and powerful. Only thing you have to do is change the filters every now and then. The vac pays for itself after the first car being detailed. I definitely reccomend it.
