I needed a trimmer to trim several bushes in my yard as well as some heavy brush growing over the fence. This trimmer worked great. Easy to use and not to heavy. It made easy work of my project. I would highly recommend.
...

I purchased this hedge trimmer after one of my neighbors forced me to use his trimmer. I was always used to using the hedge shears to trim my hedges. Well, this red devil cuts down my trimming time down to 1/3 of the manual shears and improves the outcome. I have not had any issues with the trimmer but had to read the directions to understand the trigger lock. The reason I picked this trimmer over the others was lock-on switch (trigger lock), large blade, bigger motor, and cord retention. Yes, I would purchase this trimmer again.
...

I purchased this trimmer after my previous Craftsman trimmer of 15 yrs died. I found this unit to be much more powerful and the cord stays in place much better. Cutting the hedges around the house was a breeze. I should have made the switch years ago.
...

This Hedge Trimmer does a great job for an unbelievalbe low price. I have a 50 foot long by 4 foot wide Evergreen type hedge in front of my house. This Trimmer made short work of trimming it in record time. It cut through thick branches with no problems.I used to have a Hedge Hog recharable type trimmer that would quit less then half way through and the blades would stick every few feet. No problem with this one. It has paid for itself 3x over in one use, as I would pay a Gardener 150.00 every 6 months to trim the hedge. I especially like the cord retracter and adjustable handle....

This trimmer has lots of power and can easily cut through any type of hedge or bush. Makes a very clean cut because of the motor's power - does'nt mangle the ends of the cut. However it is a bit heavy to handle for long periods of time. I probably would have been happier with a trimmer that has a motor around 3 amps to cut down on the weight and still have good cutting strength. Still this is a very good machine, runs very smooth and is recommended for large jobs....

I chose this hedger based on Consumer Reports. I used it for 4 hours trimming a 100' long 12' high holly hedge. It performed well and easily cut through even the thicker branches. My one disappointment was the room within the inside space of the handle. I like to lock the trigger, then slide my hand back so I don't bump the trigger which would unlock it. Another brand I have used makes this easy... however the other brand breaks after 3 years use. When I lock the trigger, I have to awkwardly hold the outside of the handle, because there's no free space to slide my hand back. This made for a less natural fit as I cut for 4 hours. Time will tell if this hedger lasts longer than the other brand I've used in the past....

Pros: Not heavy, easy to adjust cutting angle of trimmer, cuts thru hedges cleanly, and handle hole large enough for the biggest hands with gloves. Cons: Took a while to get use to locking down the trigger for continuous on operation. Will see (through time) how the plastic body holds up. Otherwise, for the price, an outstanding value....

Outstanding unit, and more expensive units can not compare to this one. Plenty of power, and good reach (22"). Handle position can be moved for max comfort, and the lock lever is outstanding especially if you have a lot of trimming to do. Unit is light weight and a real pleasure to use. Does a great job at trimming. Best unit on the market, and I've seen many hedge trimmers....

This Hedge Trimmer really does the job. I have been using electric hedge trimmers for about 35 years and this one really stands out. I like to sculpture my hedges and I do that with ease. Additionally, this hedge trimmer is much lighter than gas trimmers. With the adjustability of the handle I make it fit to just the right angle....

It works great, but I don't like the lock-on feature. It's unnecessary because the trigger doesn't require much effort. Plus you can't get a good grip without holding the trigger anyway. Worst of all is that you can't tell from looking at it whether or not it's locked-on.
All-in-all I'd like to disable the lock-on feature....
