Tools themselves are OK but the case does not hold the "tools" and they fall out on ground. If giving as a gift, be advised the case is designed to also hold an additional set of Bolt-out "tools" so it will look like you only bought someone half a gift. Like giving a friend of yours a nice cold "3-pack" of beer!

This product is a must for anybody that has purchased a car that was driven in Northern winters. The design of the tool allows you to easily remove rounded off rusty nuts off exhaust system studs. Be sure and spray the nuts or bolts with penetrating oil a couple of times before attempting to remove the rusty fasteners. I loaned my set to a farmer friend to remove some stubborn nuts on a combine he was working on. The job had been taking days to remove some rusty nuts that didn't allow you to use a ratchet. He used these with a set of Sears combination ratcheting wrenches and was done in minutes. I purchased this set as a Christmas gift for myself to replace the set he insisted on keeping and paying me for. Be sure and purchase the additional set 52061, to have a complete set if you need the larger sizes....

I can't say enough about the Craftsman Nut/Bolt Remover. It performed exactly as advertised! This thing saved me a ton of time removing an old rusted out bolt on my 64 Chevy truck. This is a must have for any "serious" DIY'er, restorer, or just general handiman. For the 14.99 I paid for it at my local Sears, it was well worth it in time, sweat, blood it saved me.

The bolt out worked for really stripped bolts, however they didn't work so well for the automotive part we were trying to use. Own other types of craftsman removal tools so we thought we would try this as well. Only three stars since what it was bought for didn't actually work, but worked on other bolts. Should mention as well that the bolts we were trying to remove were fully rusted into place as well and had to drill them out.

Every once in awhile I come across a bolt that has a stripped head or I happen to strip a bolt head myself and then have to try and figure out a way to get it out (usually the hard way). I don't have a torch, so about my only other option (or alternative generally) is to use a pair of Vice Grips. The Craftsman Bolt-Out Damaged Bolt/Nut Remover Set is not only more convenient, but it's simply a great tool to have in your arsenal of shop tools. They work good and so far, they have worked well for removing stripped bolts every time.

I saw these a while ago and just had to pick them up. I've always used the classic nut splitter or angle grinder when it came to this type of situation. I was a bit skeptical because of the fact that these look like standard sockets. I expected these to be strong enough to grab but to also be much stronger than the bolt metal so I was expecting them to just damagage the bolt further until it was shredded and rounded off. I was completely surprised the first time I used them. They did exactly what they are intended to do.

Just a note: I used one of my extractors for the 1st time a couple of days ago. It didn't take the bolt out and was ruined in the process. It seems the metal is quite soft. I've used other brands of these extractors before and haven't had any issues.

When I went to the store today I found that there is NO warranty on them at all. Buyer beware. I'm happy I didn't pay too much for them, but wouldn't have spent my money if I knew how poorly they would work.

They worked on nonstandard rounded bolts. The bolts were not hex head and the bolt out worked. The bolts were round with little tits in them. I would have had to buy a special wrench to get them out if I had not found this set.

All I know is that I needed to remove 13 year old nuts from a 98 F150 and this tool performed better that I had hoped. I was able to remove many of the nuts with ease. Some of the nuts were too far gone, and I did not expect any tool to help in those cases.

I really enjoyed the purchase for these items because they worked great when nothing else would. I am also really happy because the tool has already been used for several other items that had stripped screws. I mainly use them to get off rusted bolts/nuts from my old vehicle. I think that every person that works on there own vehicle should have a set of these. I was told to try several things but these are what got the job done at the end of the day. There is no better tool then the right tool. if you are in a situation where the tool has no grip on nothing else will grab, use these. The will ruin the nut or bolt but this tool will get the nut/ bolt off. I highly recommend having this tool in your box....

These come in very handy for those rounded off nuts that you would otherwise have to drill or cut out. They are also priced very well in comparison to other tool brands with the same quality. These are a great addition and I have since ordered the 5 larger sizes....

I bought the set to remove one particular rounded-off bolt. However, it has come in handy for other projects that had been laid to the side due to stuck bolts or nuts.

As always, quality tools are my goal. Once again, Craftsman Tools have come through for me.
