This compressor combo kit from Craftsman is a must have for any garage or basement. The pieces don't take up much space. We have used the stapler to tack loose carpeting on the stairway. We have also used it to make an outdoor rabbit hutch. This really is a great kit. You will amaze yourself at how often you get it out to use and wonder how you ever got along without it.

bought this the same time a friend of mine did. I pulled it out of the box, purged the tank, and oiled the guns, he started shooting right away. Mine works great, his is toast... Take the few extra minutes to set up. Compressor works great with the included guns. Struggles with my framing nailer, and runs constantly when using an air rachet, but this isn't the primary purpose. If you do cabinet work or trim work, this is a must buy. Paid for itself in my time on my first two projects alone....

For the money, you simply cannot beat this combo kit. It comes with everything you need to get started...even the staples, brads, and finish nails. The compressor is significantly more powerful than I thought. You can drive finish nails (the tool that requires the largest amount of air) all day long - even when the compressor is filling. You will run through an entire magazine of nails before it fails to provide enough air to countersink them (even in bounce mode). I was also skeptical of the 1/4" in. hose. Most air tools use 3/8th inch hoses. But, considering all tanks connect with 1/4" adapters, regardless of size, you would still have the bottleneck on at least one end. Thus, the 1/4" is perfectly fine. My only gripe is the depth adjustment dial on each of the tools. It seems to move much too easily, possibly changing the depth as you are using the tool. NOTE: Remember to follow the break-in instructions for the compressor. Failure to do this will result in damage. Also remember to......

I received the combo kit which includes the finish/brad/staple guns and the 6 gallon compressor. Everything works perfect after several uses except the brad nailer doesn't countersink the nails anymore. Other than that its a great purchase for that price....

I bought this to work on a friends basement. it did the job flawlessly. I would not recommend this for impact tools, but for air nailers, or simple tire filling it is great. CRAFTSMAN FOR LIFE!!!...

I was finishing my basement, and after hand nailing the first set of trim around a door and one section of baseboard, my mind was made up. I purchased this kit, and it was fantastic in saving time. Although the compressor seems to run out of air quickly, it does recover rather fast. The nail / brad / staple guns work fine. I researched the guns included in the kit versus the ones sold seperately, and they are all the same except for one. The difference is that one gun will not take as long as a fastener as an other. Not a big deal. This is a great value when on sale, and still a value with the included guns. I would like to see a double manifold on the air line at the compressor, but, for one person, this is a nice kit. The included heavy fabric bag is also nice for storing the guns and extra nails, etc....

The guns are good for household projects. The compressor drives my dewalt frame nailer with not problems. Full Saturday of framing last weekend and kept up with ease. Got it the whole package for 300, and at that price its a no brainer....

The first day of using the Brad Nailer I found myself wishing I would have purchased a different model. The nailer was hard to load and broke after about an hour of use. I did receive great service from the local Sears dealer. Sears replaced the Brad Nailer with an updated version. The newer model works much better, quieter, smoother, and loads much easier. Highly recommend this model (#18174 , black in color)....

I also bought my combo compressor during the Craftsman Club Days and was surprised to see it ring up at $149.99. That's 50% off retail. What a bargain. I've used it during a kitchen remodel and have been completely satisfied. I plan to buy a few accessories for working in the garage and on the cars. Great buy and a reliable product....

I bought this through the Craftsman Club over a month ago. Since then I've taken it to the Habitat for Humanity site for two full Saturdays of usage, and I've just finished re-installing all the base mold in our house after refinishing the floors. This is a great set-up. The compressor is lightweight with a small footprint, which is great in a relatively small space and is easy to carry up and down stairs! I've primarily used the finish nailer, but it has performed flawlessly with the full range of nail lengths. The other fellows put their guns back in their trucks so they could use mine! One went out the next day and bought the compressor without the guns, he was so impressed. I'll have a better idea of reliability as time goes on, but so far it looks to be the best value out there for a homeowner like me....
