I've had this light for going on 9 years and haven't had to change the bulb. I've dropped it numerous times and even bears the scarres of it many uses. It doesn't give off a super bright light but is enough to see what you need to see. My kids even us it to bring out the trash at night and to play in their tent. Ultimately an outstanding light for the price!...

Having 19.2 volts available power I would expect this light to be much brighter than it is. The throw of the light is wide and disspersed however the level of illumination is seriuosly lacking.

Positives for this light are the hanging hook, which folds out of the way when not in use, & the ability to be set down on a flat surface.

There's over 35 reviews already posted for this light, the C-3 powered Craftsman 19.2V - Fluorescent Light. Many of this item's qualities have been illuminated (pun intended)... both positive and those as might be an issue.

At the risk of redundancy, I want to mention my impressions about the design and construction of this light... and also offer some opinion regarding its best uses.

I'm impressed by the design of the carrying handle. The ergonomics are very user friendly... and the overmolding on the handle's backstrap eliminates sharp edges as often encountered with hard plastic where seam lines meet.

The balance of the light in a users' hand is quite remarkable too. Overall, this light gives an impression of solid construction and ruggedness... and the retractable hook to suspend the light is well placed.

One aspect of the design, however, that some users might find annoying - (this also pointed out by another reviewer) - if using the compact Lithium-Ion C-3 battery,...

This is a great addition to the 19.2 volt line of tools. The light is convienant to use and light weight. It has a comfortable grip and the retractable hook is great for working on a car engine or other tight place when you need both hands to work but still need the light. I would recommend this to others.

I use it when working under the car. I don't know how long it lasts because I've been out there for hours at a time and never lost power once. Of course, I recharge it after every use. The light is bright enough that it can illuminate a medium-sized room, or the underside of many cars.

This is also a great flashlight to have by your bedside or in an emergency kit. It feels great to hold, stands up on its own, or youi can hang it like a lantern from the hook. The product definitely feels high quality, and I love the interchangeability within the C3 series.

The price is also excellent, but it won't make economic sense for you unless you already have C3 tools with extra batteries. If you are looking to start using cordless power tools, you should invest in one of the C3 combos and use an extra battery for this light. At $16.99 with an existing battery, this is a great tool to have, but it does not come with a battery, so if you had to buy one for $35 it is not a great deal. Just common...

This is the most convenient flashlight I have. I reach for it all the time. From letting the dog out.... to a perfect grab when our power goes out. I have three of them now and keep them handy.

The light is bright, it's easy to carry, set down or aim. It fills a room pretty well and is very bright outside at night.

You'll be very happy you bought this light!

I've gotten a lot of use out of this light doing nighttime car repairs. It does its job well, and lasts several hours with the Li-Ion battery. My only complaint is that it can't lie on its back, a feature that could be added with a minor redesign of the handle and base. Under the car, there are many times when I need a broad beam of light pointed upward, not sideways.

Some reviews mention that the bulb breaks too easily, but I've found it as sturdy as you could expect. After all, it's not a crescent wrench. I generally handle my tools carefully, but last night the worklight fell off the car and landed on the pavement hard enough to pop the battery out, but the bulb was fine.

This flashlight is a wonderful item to have around the house. It provides the perfect amount of light for many different needs. I use it the most to go into the crawl space to change the filter on the furnace. The light is very bright and it is very comfortable to carry. The battery life is long and gives me plenty of time before I need to recharge it. This is the first flashlight that I go to when I have a project that requires some good light.

This light is a good addition to have around the house but not something I find would say is an absolute 'must have'. Unlike a number of other reviews, mine is not terrifically bright and does not give off a huge amount of light. Those reviews that describe it as being useful for up close tasks are more accurate. Working under the hood of my truck or laying on the floor when changing the oil; it does a great job. Lighting up a big room in a power outage; not going to happen.

The only real problem with this light is not the initial purchase or product, but the replacement bulbs. Fortunately I haven't had to buy one yet, but I am not looking forward to it when the time comes. $5 for the bulb is resasonable, not being able to buy them at the store and having to pay $7 for shipping is a sore point for me. The original light only cost me $17 and to get one bulb costs $12....not happy. Buy two bulbs and pay shipping and I've doubled my investment. The good news is that the...

A great addition to your collection of C3 tools! gives off good light where you are working, but does not project its light for much distance. I guess if there was a reflector to guide the light in one direction, it would be able to light up a greater distance, but that reflector would also kill the almost omni-dierectional lighting this lamp gives off, and I think it is fine as it is. I can;t wait till I have a chance ot use it

I really like this little fluorescent light! My wife bought it for me as a holiday gift.

This light is absolutely wonderful not just for projects at home in dark places like underneath sinks, but this is a great light for when the power goes out or even to take with you camping. I will be definitely picking up at least two more of these lights to have around the house in case of power outages.

The Craftsman C3 19.2 volt Fluorescent Light provides a good amount of light covering about 270 degrees from the source. The light is effective in close-in work but not strong enough or directional enough to fill much distance. If you want a spot light--this one is the wrong choice. To fill an small work area, this is a good light. It remains cool during use. The unit is light weight and the battery inserts on the bottom providing a flat area for the light to sit with stability. If you happen to use a C3 LION battery, you will find the plastic below the bulb blocks the LED indicator and test button. The top mounted retractable hanging hook is sort-of useful however the light tends to swing around when hanging making you crazy with light/dark/light.

So far, I have not had problems with the bulb but would suggest you have a spare or two standing-by. I do recommend this light.
