when purchasing the tractor and bagger system, i decided to opt in for this little accesory for several reasons, the first was aestetics. it completes the overall look of the tractor. 2nd was for the versatility. around the yard, if i have to pull out little shrubs or move tree stumps, i now have something i can tie to when pulling small shrubs.
...

Bumper was supplied without bolts. The existing bolts are too short to re-use. These are special 3/8" self tapping bolts, so you can't just run down to Home Depot to buy them. If Sears would just include $2.00 worth of bolts it would save me hours of time trying to find where I can buy these special bolts or drill them out and re-tap them as someone else suggested. RAISE THE PRICE IF YOU NEED TO BUT INCLUDE EVERYTHING THAT IS NEEDED!...

I managed to get this on clearance for $10. Looks great and easy to install. I spent 15 minutes looking at the installation instructions until I figured out that you simply remove the hood and secure four bolts. Hood was easy to pop on and off, without any hardware securing it....

I bought it , after reading the reviews.
most said that bolted up easy.
wrong!!
first problem, the only bolts i could use was the self tapping for the front holes, which was fine.
second problem was that the factory bolts were to short, seance the holes were for self tapping bolts i had to tap out to 3/8 to use a regular bolt. once that was done bolted up real easy.
I don't think i will run into a tree to test it out, looks to very sturdy.
If i didn't have to tap out the holes the rating would be higher....

Bumper for my 4500 lawn tractor came as a freebe. I got the red one to go with the color of the lawn tractor. Quick and easy installation. The only part of the installation that was confusing is the slotted holes. The bumper can be mounted at different heights which I like. Overall installation was a breeze....

Bought this bumper shortly after buying tractor (model 28833) Installation was easy, probably half hour. Bumper appears to be sturdy in construction. I bought the red one and it matches the red tractor. It looks like it came with the tractor. Nice item!...

Installed on a DGS6500 Garden Tractor. Bumper mount rails are too widely spaced for tractor frame. Bolting it on compresses bumper rails to fit. Not a well designed setup but works as a bumper. The end cap on one end popped off and can't be found....

Bought bumper for my 3500 lawn tractor. Quick and easy installation. The only part of the installation that was confusing is the extra bolts. The instructions mention that bolts will be left over ... but I would have had to read the instructions prior to installing to know that ... lol. Only had tractor for about a week and had bumper right after, the bumper has saved my grill a couple times already. Tractor is quick and me not used to it, it has grabbed my attention a couple times and almost bumped things. So I sure this bumper is going to save me in the future. The bumper can be mounted a different setting. The further it sticks out the more protection it provides. I have mine set close to grill and works fine....

I bought this bumper on March 9 for a friend after she just got her brand new tractor home from Sears. I installed the red bumper which only took a couple minutes to install. 4 bolts and it was tight on the frame. It looks to be very strong and looks great on her red fairway tractor. I wish Sears would make a brush guard bumper painted red. That would be a great since I like that design for my own tractor....
